I will be trying this in the morning! I have been on a kick getting these from a lady about an hour from me, I'm trying to save on driving to her! The only thing she does different is she rolls the grapes in candy while they are still wet from the mixture. She does pop rocks, nerds, jolly ranchers, Lemonheads, and many other things! Maybe this is something you could use in the future for your customers🖤 They're yummy! I can't wait to try this
Thank you for the suggestion. I'll have to try it out! Good luck with doing them yourself 🤗. Let me know if you have any questions.

I was just wondering if we don't have flavoring can we melt a jolly rancher for flavor inside the candy mix ?
Great question. I've never tried it. I'm not sure if the jolly rancher would be completely melted by the time the mixture is ready for you to dip 🤔. Do you have vanilla extract? That can be used as well.
HOWD YOU DIP THEMMMMM?! Once you pour it out it gets cooled quick and becomes undippable so how???
Sorry I'm just now seeing this comment. Go back to watch the video. I dip them in the video before I poured the mixture out.
I need some help desperately. I’ve tried making the candy grapes. Couple times I’ve come out really good and some of the times the candy starts to separate off the grapes. I cook it to 310° and it is crunchy. Do you know why it does this
Hello! I can help as best as I can. Have you watched the tutorial yet? I share a few techniques that I personally use. The grapes will break down regardless of your technique. They only last for a few hours before breaking down.
I did the grapes and strawberry today it was my first time my customers loved them both Thank you

Sorry I'm just now seeing your comment, but no. You can't reuse it.
I know this is old, however that left over dip can be used as candy sprinkle the jolly ranchers and edible glitter you can call it unicorn bark or brittle lol something it wont go to waste

Loveee this.. how can i keep my candy from being sticky?? When I touched my grapes, it was very sticky
Thank you! Do you place your grapes in the refrigerator or freezer? I notice that they are very sticky after that.
Awesome tutorial! How long can you store your candies fruit and how do you store them?
Thank you for watching! ❤
I don't store these. I make them an hour or so before pickup because they don't last as long as a candy apple, for example.
Girrrl yess I needed this video I damn near burnt the house and my hand off when It touched me
Oh no! That candy is a different kind of pain when it touches you 🥴🤦🏽♀️. Thank you for watching!
Hi, where did you get those small containers from? Your video was soooo good! I have to try this!!!!
Hello what size is your flavor? And is it better to buy that size instead of the dram?
Hello! I'm not sure how I missed your comment (my apologies!). It's a 1 ounce bottle. In my opinion, yes it's better to buy than the drams. They last longer and more for your money.
Y’all are too cute!Me and my teenage g daughter do some of these tutorials and oh boy!!!!Lmbo!!!
Thank you so much for watching! I hope you enjoyed it 😊
Wait! The coating process! I watched this whole video to see how you dipped the grapes in the candy once you poured it! 😭😭😭
I hope this video helped you! Are you now confident in dipping your grapes?
My grandson is begging me for some cotton candy grapes! Someone had some at school. He DOES NOT EAT ANY FRUIT except apples every blue moon. Do you have a tutorial on how to make cotton candy grape?
Yes, this tutorial is for cotton candy grapes as well. Are you referring to the actual grapes or cotton candy flavor?
My favorite youtube crackd video
Awww, thank you so much for watching!
🙏🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾❤️
I love this video, so detailed where can I get the flavoring?
Thank you for watching! You can purchase the flavoring on Amazon or at your local craft/treat supply stores
Do you wash the grapes the same as apples with lemon water?
Could you possibly sprinkle the jolly rancher mixture after you dip while still drying so it might stick better? Or have an extra set of hands doing that part?
Hey Cierra! No, please don't boil your grapes. That will probably make them too soft.
Also, yes you can do that. Just have a bowl with the jolly rancher mixture next to you when you dip them.
Thanks for watching! ❤
Loveee this video. What do you do with he leftover candy? Can it be re heated and used again?
Thank you so much for watching! ❤
I usually throw it away or once it's cooled, I break it up & just eat it as pieces of candy. It can't be reused again.
Oh ok thank you so much
@@Motivational-thoughts901 you're so welcome
How much are these? I need some for a party.
Hey 👋. They are $5 per container
How many per container?
@@jrenea30 approximately 7-8 if they're large grapes. A little more if I have smaller grapes.
FYI These have to be made close to your party time. They can't be made in advance like other treats.
Hi I have a couple questions when doing half recipe do the candy harder faster and when you finish do you put in refrigerator or freezer until customer pick them up?
Hello!
1. No the mixture doesn't harden faster when using half the mixture.
2. I do not place them in neither the refrigerator nor the freezer. I make the the day of
This was my first time doing half mixture maybe I waited to long to start dipping thank you
@@michellesmith2140that's possible. What temp do you allow your mixture to go to?
300 degrees for
@@michellesmith2140 ok. Stay in between 300-305. Be sure you reach the hard crack temp or your mixture may seize up quickly.
Were do you purchase your containers
I purchase them from a local store called LIT.
Where do you get the green apple 🍏 flavoring from?
I get it from Amazon or my local treat supply store.
What do you use to get them candied ? & mines are still sticky after a couple minutes of placing them on paper
Hey. Are you following the recipe I used in the video? Your grapes shouldn't be sticky after you dip & let them cool. Check your temp in your house. If it's too warm, that could cause them to be sticky as well.
@@meshacalhoun Ok thank you
@@THEREALTB you're welcome!
How did you get the jolly rancher’s crushed like that?
I put them in a blender
Looks yummy!! How do you store them? And for how long?
Thank you! I store them in plastic containers for no longer than 3hrs. I usually make them to order because they will break down within an hour.
How did you do the jolly ranchers and sugar mixture?
I blended them together to make the mixture
How does this work with other fruits? Do peaches/strawberries/pineapples break down as fast as grapes?
You can dip them but the break down process with the fruit you mentioned is faster than the grapes. The key to slowing down the breakdown is patting those fruit dry. They will still breakdown eventually because they're naturally perspiring fruit. The moisture is what causes the breakdown.
@@meshacalhoun very informative! Thank you for your reply!
@@siamsoup9071 you're welcome! Anytime 😊. Thank you for watching!
How long in advance should these be made if their being made for a customer? Does the grape leak at all?
I make them about an hr prior to the pickup time.
Hi again when putting grapes in container it’s not good to stack them?
Hello again! You can stack them
Thank you so much for answering every question
@@michellesmith2140 You're welcome hun
What is the White ?
The white is food coloring also.
I thank you so much for this I’m trying new things. Is the LORAN oil all the same for candy?
You're welcome! For the most part, yes they're. Most are clear & others have a darker base. It just depends on the flavor & your preference. If you don't have the lorann oil right now, but will just like to test out the process, just use a vanilla flavor until you can get Lorann's oil
So where do you get your flavoring from?
I get them from Amazon, hobby lobby, or a local bakery supply store
How do you keep them from "melting/running"? Please and thank you sis.
Unfortunately, they will melt/run. Which is why I dip mine very close to pickup times. However, I do state that grapes usually last for an hour before the first sign of breakdown in the candy. This covers me, & gives the customer an expectation of how long they have to eat them before the breakdown begins.
@@meshacalhoun dang sis, 1 hour!? No wonder. Good thing I did a test bunch. These wouldn't be good to sell from my truck. No time to keep making them. This sucks, wonder how they keep candied apples from melting.. I'm deflated. Thank you much girl.
@@kniik-knaak lol yes. Unfortunately these do not last long. I wouldn't recommend to add as an everyday menu item. I have it as a seasonal item & I only post when available. They're too time consuming for the amount of time they last. I also have a candy apple cleaning & how to make them tutorial here on RUclips. Apples last longer than grapes because of the texture of both fruit. The sugar mixture sticks better to apples than grapes. You can make those well in advance versus grapes.
How do you keep grapes from melting?
Unfortunately you can't. They will always melt eventually.
Great video! How long do they last before breaking down and how do you store them?
Thank you! They last for about an hour before they start to break down. You can still eat them, but they may not be fully coated.
Keep them in a cool, dry place. Moisture will speed up the break down process.
Where did you get the container from
I purchased them from a local store called LIT

The best one yet thank you I will go buy ingredients tomorrow and give you me feedback . Great job and your little helper was good too . God bless
Hi, I’m wanting to know once I cup my grapes and put them in the fridge, how can I keep them from melting in the bottom of the cup? Do I need to let the grapes sit out longer before putting them in the cups? I keep having this problem
Hey Kristina! To me, putting them in the fridge breaks them down even faster. Mainly because of the moisture. Candy grapes aren't meant to last long anyways. I give it a max 2hrs before a sign of breakdown begins.
Mesha Calhoun Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Lmao, soooo we just ignore the middle finger the lil girl was sticking up. she definitely tried it while her mama wasn't watching
Lmao yeah just ignore that part. Thanks for watching!
When I make mines I let them cool off then I put them in a container with a lid and I put them in the icebox will when I take them out half of them are cracked how do I make the grapes without them cracking
They will always crack. There's nothing you can do about that. The rule of thumb; the more moisture, the quicker they will break down, aka crack.
Where did you get the green apple flavor and what’s the brand?
It's a loran oil that I purchased from amazon
I don’t know when you’ll see this but when I make mine as they’re setting the mixture slides off and all the candy is on the bottom😩😩. Do you have any tips?
Oh no! How do you clean your grapes?
I usually just rinse them off in the sink and then I’ll dry them with a paper towel.
@@faithjones2840 ok. They may still have wax on them when you dip your grapes. Try sprinkling some baking soda on them to remove the wax. Let it soak in some water, then rinse off & pat to dry
@@meshacalhoun I will try that, thank you so much!
@@faithjones2840 you're welcome!
Can you us that candy that Harden up and blend it to reuse
Hey. Are you asking whether you can reuse the candy mixture after it hardens? If so, the answer is no. At least not for candy grapes or apples. You can eat it as candy though
Yea for Sprinkle toppings
@mikawarren7947 oh yeah. You can use it for that as well. I use jolly ranchers for the toppings, but the candy would be a good option too.
How do you clean your grapes to get that wax off if you don’t recommend boiling?
I soak them in water with baking soda
What’s in that clear bottle?
Hey. It's light corn syrup
What causes your candy on your dipped grapes to melt off so fast?
The texture of the grapes causes the candy to melt fast. Plus your room temp also plays a part as well.
How do you keep the grapes from melting .. during delivery
I tell all customers that there will be signs of candy breakdown regardless. I also give a 1hr window for pickup. They're going to melt regardless.
After watching your tutorial I tried doing it on my own and everything came out fine. The only issue I seem to keep coming across is the mixture doesn’t harden after coating the grapes. What could it be that’s preventing it from doing so ?
It could be your thermometer is off. If so, let your thermometer go to 305 degrees just to be sure it at least reaches 300 degrees. If that's not it, try getting a new thermometer. Your mixture should have a hard crack.
Is there a certain thermometer you would suggest

Thank you so much! Did you wait a long time before starting to dip? What color food coloring did you use?
@@meshacalhoun I used the Wilton food coloring!
@@courtneydequana not the brand, but the actual color. Some colors seize up quicker like red & some blues.

@@courtneydequana hmm, that doesn't usually get hard as fast. Once the mixture reaches the correct temp, stir it and be sure to get the sides of your pot. When it stops bubbling, start dipping asap.
