While the original mic/controller no longer works due to an obsolete connector, the actual earphones themselves has standard 3.5mm. All I needed back when I got another phone was to swap out the mic/controller and they kept working. I'm kinda just still using them to see how long they'll keep working.

i've bought 2 pair of raycons, x90 titan (in 2018) and whatever their flagship was a year ago. the x90 titans were INCREDIBLE for 3 years, until they stopped charging. the other pair quit charging right after the warranty went out. they had poorer sound quality for more money. they were not good.
A fun fact many don't seem to note about the GPD Win 3 keyboard keys when playing keyboard eccentric games is. You can program up to 16 key spots on the actual game pad controller. JUst me passing a little tip for online pc game players. 😉

the steamdeck wont have thumbstick drift due to it being a hell of a lot more modern than nintendo, and they have no reason to make them drift anyways. nintendo also has a system where they can purposefully make their sticks drift because of the fact that the controllers are seperate.

Compared to Aya Neo and GPD Win sure. For the hardware you're getting I definitely cannot argue with the price. It is a bit more costly than the ( weaker) Switch however.

People bash handheld stuff for having "low-res" displays and stuff, but like the screens are tiny. 720p on a small device looks way better than 720p on a tv. Also, I have a predator helios 700 gaming laptop and it stays pretty cool, even in silent fan mode
Honestly I'm happy that the steam deck is coming out. I've been waiting for hand-held pc's to get attention, since they can only improve upward,especially if it becomes popular. I won't be buying it just yet, but maybe later, when an improved or even more slimmed down version comes out.
Kinda would make me laugh that somehow vale made the same mistake by not promoting it enough and then it has to get discontinued and only the people who got the high-quality product have it now..though you cant buy it only reserve it so maybe that wont be a problem.

The steam deck is weird because they went for a balance. Cheaper parts on some parts and beast parts on others. Seems like they went for the lost option to make it up on steam. Sadly GPD, Team Aya, One Note cant do that and have to sell at full price.
Potentially. It's definitely an interesting time to be alive. Companies are creating my dream handheld devices, and I'm all for it, but I'm going to wait a bit and let them refine their craft. Besides, my PC is still fairly usable for playing the games I want to play, but I sadly lack the time to actually play those games. It's just not logical for me to get these devices at this time in my life. If I'm really keen, I can just pick up my DS/3DS systems, or my PS Vita. Sometimes I've got to remember to be grateful for the things I already have, you know?

GPD make shitty products. I've owned a GPD XD and within a year the screen ribbon cable broke. I'd say it was a fluke, but if you go on reddit it's one of the most common faults so it's a design flaw. Most GPD products have major flaws.

ngl real nice to hear you point out gta4's good story. First and only gta game I completed, mainly because all the others I was more invested in moolah and guns. gta4 had those too, but like... it had feeling.
I do like this video and I agree with the points and concerns he made. but I wish he had mentioned that GPD's been making handheld pcs since 2016 and this isn't really a "bootleg". GPD does have a fairly nasty track record of defective products shipping, and it is important to take that into consideration if you are looking into their products. If that happens, they usually have you send it back and fix it, but it definitely is a hassle and a shitty process from what I've heard. GPD is a financially constricted company, which is made true because of the fact they have to crowdfund their products. Personally, I bought a GPD win 2 back in 2018 and actually still use it today to emulate ps2 games on the go. He did mention that people change the TDP to get more performance, and that is true. He also mentioned it possibly damaging the internals, which is also true, it can definitely decrease it's lifespan. Many people still get mileage out of their products, and they provided for a very niche market that's now transitioning into popularity because of Valve. I find the steam deck's announcement very exciting, having a solid product from a company you can trust, and not having to take a gamble with potentially getting a defective unit. That being said, I will always recognize GPD as a pioneer to this market and wouldn't agree with the sentiment that the win 3 is a bootleg. That aside, solid video Muta.

You don't have to defend some of the bad quality controls issues, but calling it a bootleg of devices that it predates by several years is completely dishonest. It's not a good way to review a product.

Companies are creating my dream handheld devices, and I'm all for it, but I'm going to wait a bit and let them refine their craft.
Besides, my PC is still fairly usable for playing the games I want to play, but I sadly lack the time to actually play those games.
It's just not logical for me to get these devices at this time in my life. If I'm really keen, I can just pick up my DS/3DS systems, or my PS Vita.
Sometimes I've got to remember to be grateful for the things I already have, you know?
Nah, they need developers to make the games for it. There's already a bunch of runnable games for pc handhelds. And considering Sony's track record, no one dev is willing to risk it.

I do like this video and I agree with the points and concerns he made. but I wish he had mentioned that GPD's been making handheld pcs since 2016 and this isn't really a "bootleg". GPD does have a fairly nasty track record of defective products shipping, and it is important to take that into consideration if you are looking into their products. If that happens, they usually have you send it back and fix it, but it definitely is a hassle and a shitty process from what I've heard. GPD is a financially constricted company, which is made true because of the fact they have to crowdfund their products. Personally, I bought a GPD win 2 back in 2018 and actually still use it today to emulate ps2 games on the go. He did mention that people change the TDP to get more performance, and that is true. He also mentioned it possibly damaging the internals, which is also true, it can definitely decrease it's lifespan. Many people still get mileage out of their products, and they provided for a very niche market that's now transitioning into popularity because of Valve. I find the steam deck's announcement very exciting, having a solid product from a company you can trust, and not having to take a gamble with potentially getting a defective unit. That being said, I will always recognize GPD as a pioneer to this market and wouldn't agree with the sentiment that the win 3 is a bootleg. That aside, solid video Muta.
