Hey brother, I definitely had my doubts about starting a legit pressure washing business. I saw your video, and it convinced me to get started. I invested about $4K, bought a trailer, got my business license and insurance. Business has been great. Best part is that I get to work with my son. Thank you very much for the great advice brother.
Kyle...Thanks for the good, honest advice. Your advice holds true with “dustless blasting” and with “dry ice” blasting too, I’m sure. At 71 I’m retired from a career in Neurosurgery and I have some advice for you...NEVER DRIVE WITHOUT YOUR SEAT BELT!!
I have already half started my business, I got a $400 pressure washer with not much else equipment no real advertising business name or anything yet. I did plan on going all in but now I realise that will not be a good idea so I’m gonna take the whole year from now mostly learning but also trying to fit some jobs in on the weekend with the hope of being fully prepared and ready for next year. I use my car, do not have much money personally so instead of heartbreak trying to go full in this year I will go half in while learning and saving to go hard next year. Your video has helped me for this and I think this is a right decision

Man.. I spent the last 8 months thinking about this. I'm a truck driver. Lot of time to think on the road. Spent months watching videos, so much time spent thinking about my past experience, dabbled briefly into coding, made a few websites. Made a couple stupid apps, studied online marketing, showing high up in search results by playing by Google's rules etc. I've already hired my brother, a whiz at this, to make my logo. I have many opportunities to leverage immediate family working in real estate, cranes, and other industries and have some pretty good marketing strategies in mind utilizing brochures, social media advertising, networking. My LLC is finalized, I have an EIN number, business checking and savings accounts, hired the CPA my brother recommended that used to work for the IRS. I have a 4gpm 4400psi pressure washer, 200ft hose, 2 50 ft hoses, 18in surface cleaner on caster wheels, hose reel, North star soft wash system, and I just got a brand new 6x12 enclosed trailer because the size works for what I have envisioned and it's the best fit for what I can pull. I'm working on business licenses right now and then will get insurance. I have a few more parts to get, IBC tote tank without frame. $10 here by a guy, couple bigger water tanks from rvs for a soap tank and one for an SH tank. Some other fittings, plumbing, that kind of thing. I'm almost ready to start. I figure 80% effort in marketing and pounding the pavement, 20% cleaning the pavement, and houses, and semis. I'm actually negotiating a deal right now with my company to wash their trucks and trailers. I will start full time in a few weeks, but still work weekends as a truck driver as a financial safety net. I won't be in the 90% of failed small businesses. I haven't seen my wife and oldest daughter for a year and a half. I have a daughter I've never met. Covid has prevented me from going to our home in the Philippines. I have to make this work. God only knows when the government will process her visa.
