Before I watched this I watched the St Boniface Centennial and Elmont "Our Hometown", with gratitude to those who created them. The Ryders lived at 92 Elmont Road from 1948 til 1960. Anne and Elizabeth attended Alden Terrace, Belmont Blvd, and Elmont MHS. We went to St Paul's Presbyterian Church which I remember being next door to St Boniface. Our father, William E Ryder, was on the school boards of both the elementary schools and the high cost schools and I suspect his name is on the plaques of all the high schools built in the 50's except Sewanhaka, which already existed. At the beginning of this video the building with the Check Cashing below and the three windows above in my day housed the office of Dr Einzig, the dentist, in whose chair I spent way too much time! I did, however, appreciate looking out those windows. I wish the recorders of the drive around Elmont were going about 5 mph so I could better see "My Hometown"...
Class of 74 here. You have no clue what School was like then. I am sorry I wasn’t paying attention and left you kids this mess. Age and Years don’t matter I am still a “kid”. I have not been back since the day I graduated.
EscoTv I find it really funny that our school didn't have very good academic standings when the school was barely diverse with most white then when the school became more diverse and a lot more whites went to our "rival school" sewanhaka our academic standing increased highly and yet the other school has the nerve to cause problems and call us un-educated
