Question: I noticed a few of you are curious about my bujo. 😅 Would you like me to do a separate video about my digital bullet journal? How I set it up, my spreads and templates, and how I integrate it with other apps? Let me know if there is anything you would like to know. 🤗
Yes!
Yes, please! I want to know how you made your Fri, Feb 4 titles on each day on your daily page. Is that a font or your handwriting?
Oh Maggi! I found your channel because of your travel videos. But I am a HEAVY GoodNotes & iPad mini user also! I Bullet Journal in GN also. Loved your tips, thank you for sharing!
** Note for the color boxes: just scribble a bunch of color on the page, use the lasso tool to select a small box *inside* the scribble, then select “take a screenshot”, and you’ll get your perfect box. No cropping necessary, then erase the scribble. The other thing I use heavily is Outlines. Treat it like you would the Index in an ACTUAL Bullet Journal. Seeing this I wish we could just hang out irl. Lol. “Move your ass” made me 😆!
Thanks so much! Your comment also makes me want to hang out with you irl and talk about our digital bujos all day long. 😂 Thanks for sharing that tip with the box, I will definitely try that. Sounds much easier than my method. 🤗
I love the quick access tip from Home Screen. That is one of the reasons I can’t seem to stick with using GoodNotes, there are so many folders to click to get to ones I’d want to use regularly
Very useful tip on hyperlinks which enables me to incorporate links into drawn mind maps - thank you.
Thank you for the quick access tip! Had no idea about this and it's a huge help.
its a great video. i am also a BUJO person, but on real paper. i haven't moved to digital yet. thankyou for the information. please keep up the good work.
Thank you for the great tips!! Really pushes it much further than a lot of the other videos. You're really an expert with Goodnotes.
Thank you! I am glad you found my video useful. :)
Brilliant idea to change up the content to keep it fresh. There were quite a few tips that were really helpful to me. Thanks for taking time to create content! It’s fabulous
So happy to hear that you liked it! :) “Unfortunately” life is not only travel, I also have to get some work done on the road (to get more money to buy new bags). 😂
great video❤
These are great tips - thank you so much. But could you please slow down? Or perhaps find a way to make it easier to follow where your Apple Pencil is during your demo’s? Thank you again!
Noted!
My small thanks for your video.
Thank you. ☺️
I love your travel content and I am a heavy goodnotes user myself. These tips are AWESOME. I also love your bullet journal, it looks so functional and amazing. For me I find my brain get more kick out of physical notebooks, and the lack of tactile feedback makes it harder for me to remember pages and navigate to them. Any tips on that as well?
I always thought I could never give up my beloved physical notebooks. But I got so tired of carrying the notebooks around with me while traveling. I think the two main things that helped me “accept” the digital bujo was moving to scrolling pages because it feels more like flipping through a notebook. And I use the “Move page to outline” feature religiously to create an index - and I love it that it’s so flexible! I also update it regularly, for example I have “Today” and “This week” in the index and I just update them regularly to the current position. This way, I can immediately navigate to the pages I need. And at some point it just clicked and I fell in the love with the benefits of having it digitally, all the flexibility, deleting unnecessary stuff, adding links, templates… 😅
Nearly all of them are new to me :) :) Great video!
Thanks! 😊
I would like to know how to link an audio file to a current page in Goodnotes? I used the microphone after I wrote a note & realized I wanted to add some audio to it, to capture the tone & inflection of my voice in conjunction with the note.
I am honestly not sure, I have never used their audio feature.
Love this video. How do you organize your notebooks, bujo in Goodnotes? By Month?
I don’t do monthlies anymore. I usually separate by “focus periods” with flexible durations - depending on my travel plans. For example, the last two months, we were stationary in an airbnb in South Brazil and next week we leave to travel through Bahia for the next two months where we hop from place to place. So these are two different focus periods for me, and I use them to structure my bujo and I set different goals for each, because I can get different things done when I am in one apartment with reliable wifi vs. being on the go, traveling to islands and other remote places… 😅
@@MaggiFuchs First, thank you for answering my question. Second, thanks for giving me something to think about regarding focus periods. Even though they are searchable, the fact that these notebooks could be infinite seems cumbersome for scrolling through them for reference later on. So perhaps aligning mine with 12-week years or something like that would be more advantageous. Happy travels to you and your husband. Thanks for the videos.
The 12 week year was a huge inspiration for me a few years ago and my current system is heavily influenced by it. But I can’t squeeze my life in 12 week chunks that make sense, so I moved to flexible time frames. But I still do many things from the 12 week year, like calculating my progress every week etc.
I am also very rigorous on what I keep in my Bujo, because I don’t like it cluttered. I delete my daily todos (do I really need to know that I had to buy milk that day 10 years later?), I only keep valuable notes and my weekly task lists (with the progress scores). I also remove everything else that’s obsolete or migrate finished project notes in my second brain and remove them from my bujo. I really like to keep it to the essentials that I need to get my work done, and then it doesn’t get that long.
@@MaggiFuchs This reply is pure gold. I agree that the 12 weeks timeframe is certainly arbitrary and very much subjective to how we are muddling through life. My WHEELS are SPINNING now. Maggi you opened a can of worms with this video about the digital Bujo side of the equation in Goodnotes. haha
Haha, I already noticed that everyone seems more excited about my Bujo than the Goodnotes tips. 😂 I am considering to make another video about my Bujo and explain how I adapted it to digital and how I set it up. 🤓
Hello. Is it possible in album-mode to see 2 pages of PDF (like a read book)?
I go to “print” and export it as a pdf with two pages per page.
@@MaggiFuchs I mean show already existing PDF (book) with 2 pages on the screen
@@user-gf8wd3hx7r Then maybe „print“ the original pdf and save it as a pdf with two pages per page before uploading it to Goodnotes. Goodnotes has no view to show two pages per page. You probably could use split screen and have two windows open with the same pdf, but imho just preparing the pdf before uploading would be easier. :) hope that helps
@@MaggiFuchs thanks
Maggi Fuchs😂
Would you be open to a paid good notes session/ training for me and my team please.
I don’t believe I am the right person to do this, but thanks for asking. :)
