I always tell people that breaks/vacations/trips are 100% needed for human beings in modern work culture. You don’t know how much you needed it until you do.
Also, keep up the reading. Keep yourself doing it, even just 20min a day. Within a year you will have cruised through 15-20 books, and you will have learned so much/just enjoyed the mental break. Don’t get fixated on one genre… move around the genres to keep it fresh.

Kurts reasoning in the falcons taking Penix cuz the Saints were lurking has tons of merit, even Terry hinted at it when he said “3 years from now when we are looking for a qb and Penix is balling out at another team we would be dissapointed” and that team being the Saints in your own division for 10+ years, you can’t allow that to happen

Only just got into the NFL, love the Timberwolves so decided to get into the Vikings. Been loving this offseason so far, started playing Madden and found your videos and now I'm getting info on the recent draft here. Keep kicking.

Glad you’re back, Kurt! Y’all two got a great chemistry, together, I enjoy it! I also appreciate the storytelling and things you learned on your trip.
My job in occupational therapy makes me appreciate the little things in life and to just be grateful/patient (no pun intended).

As a Vikings fan I was so excited to hear you guys talk about JJ and now the nihilism has been reinforced from Kurt crapping all over the pick

Respectfully, you're opinion would be more valid if you actually acknowledged the moves on the defensive side of the ball. Brian Flores is no joke of a DC and the acquisitions they made in FA as well as Dallas Turner in the first round (which was one of the first defensive players off the board). Also, when comparing to Chicago, Minnesota has an established DC with previous Top 5 defenses under his pedigree, and a proven offensive minded head coach capable of developing a QB. Chicago has a defensive minded HC with an unproven OC.

Chargers have Josh Palmer, DJ chark, Quenton Johnston (if he can develop), ladd McConkey, Brendan Rice, Will Disley, Donald Parham, Hayden Hurst. Not a ton of huge names but I seen something that Herbert has only played 6 full games with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams the last 2 seasons (6/34 games). I believe he’s talented enough to play well with those weapons but I agree the division is tough. But i’m excited to see what Herbert can do with a good coach because he’s lowkey slept on coming from a packers fan

I’ve heard the Patriots offensive scheme was difficult to learn, especially for rookie QBs. I’m not sure if Mayo changed it from McDaniels since he’s a belichick guy.

damn bro I hope Maye can outshine the landing spot.. your take doesn't make me feel good about taking him 1.06 in dynasty SF

This thinking about the Patriots is flawed. I understand the argument of building the team up first then get the QB. But the fact is this. If you have a chance to draft a guy you believe is a franchise caliber QB and you do not have one currently on the roster, you do NOT pass on that guy. I have no idea if Maye is going to be that guy. But if the Patriots or any other team feels he can be in the same category as a guy like Herbert or Burrow or even Prescott or Tua, you don't pass on that player. You draft him, maybe sit him a year and continue to add talent through the draft and free agency. But you get him in the building. Period.

If the NFLPA was stronger Union then they'd have better contracts.. like the NBAPA...

A Union is only as strong as its members.. So maybe these NFL Players need to read up on labor law and fight for better and more guaranteed contracts

Hey Kurt thanks for the analysis! But I'll be honest the take on New England is pretty sour. They are not some chump organisation. Mentioning them in the same breath as the bears is wild.
Mayo did not "take the job" he was groomed for it for years by Bill & Kraft. He has made extremely sound hiring decisions.
Included in those hires is an ex QB AVP as OC who's system suits Maye to the ground, Ben McAdoo who will be his qb coach with tonnes of experience & a specialist O line coach to sure up drakes protection. They also demoted Troy Brown and recruited a new receivers coach. Not to mention the two extremely qb friendly receivers who both boast a wide catch radius they just drafted. Their receiving core is very good but not great. Absolutely fine for his first year. He also is not likely to start.
They are clearly tailoring everything they can to Maye's development. He himself is very raw and not seen as a ready made prospect so he's not losing a year regardless.
They are way fewer players away from competing than you make out. One more draft could do it. They did a great job this year.
The truth is that there are a ton of unknowns about the staff. Top to bottom. Hence it has been tough to attract free agents. But don't count them out. You Maye regret it 😊

Jordan Love sits behind Aaron Rodgers = Fine
Penix sits behind Kurt who was not aware of the pick at all= Fine
JJ MCCARTHY sits behind Darnold, being 21 the youngest out of all the QBs pick, Dallas turner picked he the best upside and raw Edge rusher going to Brian Flores Defence=
    Not Fine
    Yeah okay Bro.

The Chiefs drafted Mahomes to sit 1 year behind Alex Smith. That worked out better than the Love pick. Why does Kurt prefer drafting a guy to sit behind Cousins for 2 to 4 years to having JJ sit 1 year? JJ will be better than Darnold in a year
