I did see this elsewhere a short time ago, and can confirm that it works just as advertised. Generally takes me a bit longer (12 min on average) but it is a great way to boost your gear. Pop on movie or a podcast and just get into a zen farming rhythm.

This is usually a problem most looter shooters run in to , the balance of the loot farming material and so on. I definitely feel like the division gets a lot of it right but falls short a little the whole exotic thing. First off they need more of them, and they need better drop percentage or a dedicated sources. Kinda like the borderlands series. A good example would be the memento backpack make that a dedicated to keener and still open world drop available. But with keener high chance with higher difficulty and more directives. Just a thought
Great video 👍 I farm the Liberty it’s 4 mission in 30 minutes plus. I usually do it on heroic with all directives. But it can be done hard. Everyone has there way of doing things. This is mine😁

The important thing here is that you complete the missions in the correct order, because only then can the appropriate parts drop.
1. at the Capitol - Captain Kendra Nelson.
She drops pistol: trigger and mechanism.
On replay, play the mission on "Story".
2. at the American History Museum - Captain Briggs.
She drops pistol: breech casing and paint job.
On replay mission on "Normal".
3. at ViewPoint Museum - Staff Sergeant Carl Wade.
He drops pistol: sight and rail.
On repeat mission on "Normal".
4. at Space Administration HQ - Master Sergeant Steve "Junior" Quiroz.
He drops Pistol: Grip and Badge, and the "Kendra's Freedom" blueprint.
On repeat mission on "Normal
You know what I think would be great for this game? Dedicated drops, at least for named weapons in this game. Because it often feels like rng whenever I get something like the Safety Distance.
there are. For example, you can get Coyote Mask, from the boss at the end of jefferson trade center. higher chance on higher difficulty. This goes for MANY items in the game.

Thanks but my question was are the exotic CACHES retroactive, meaning will new exotics that aren't in the loot pool yet have a chance of dropping in exotic caches I've saved prior to new update?
@@homernextdoor5950 I don't know buddy somebody else might have that answer I've never saved exotic cases before I didn't know that was even possible but if I was you I would certainly open those cages and not save them I mean nobody saves exotic cages that I know of I'm a solo player I don't play with plans because like I said bad seeds or everywhere and they'll just use you it's just the way the game can be played cross console with PC people hack into the game use their own servers and just take all your XP while you're playing you don't even know what they're sucking off your XP your internet speed it's insane what they can do I've learned I've been playing for years that's why I don't join a plan or any other you know community group but because it slows you down you'll notice you're not running as fast also they'll take you know they take your loot and everything they can go to your control Point suck up all your steel it's nuts but I don't know as of anyone that has saved exotic cases before I don't understand the question but if I was you I would certainly save your Exotics in another character as many as possible because you're going to need him to upgrade your weapons unless they change that because and I don't think they will because a lot of people didn't know this was going to happen I was fortunate I have hundreds and hundreds of exotic components so I got lucky but a lot of other people haven't so I think they're trying to make the game fair which I agree with you know it has to be fair for everybody and they're trying to keep the game going which isn't a hard thing to do because they're hundred thousands of players but answer your question I simply do not know because I don't know of anyone who would save exotic cages you know what I mean but anyway I'm sorry I can't help wish I could but I'm glad I could give you that tip buddy because you're going to need it trust me you're going to need as many exotic components as you can get
@@homernextdoor5950 I also wanted to say that Exotics are dropping everywhere countdown throughout the world game you know New York they're just dropping everywhere I've noticed changing bills frequently while playing in open world Exotics just keep dropping they're dropping Exotics way more than I've ever seen cages aren't really worth the time to be honest with you because Exotics drop everywhere you just got to keep changing your build every now and then and they'll drop that is that's what's worked for me I'm getting five to eight Exotics a day everyday if I play Everyday for the incense to you 15 has dropped in recently I've been getting way more so they're dropping Exotics as long as you're on heroic with at least three directives I have three directives at all times no more no less that's my mark so that's my advice I can give you my friend
Sorry there are a few typos I'm using speech recognition my advice is play on heroic with at least three directives in open world or wherever you play normally but change your bills keep on changing the build everything that you can complete change the build and then do another one like say you do a supply drop for instance or a control Point finish it change your build do another one then do a whole different build and keep swapping back and forth you'll notice exotic Exotics dropping like crazy also make sure your Dodge City holster is in your not in your stash or your inventory or Nemesis or any other exotic that you've gotten by gameplay and just do it again that way you can get the Dodge City holster Again by completing control points that's kind of a slow way to do it but I haven't seen the Dodge City holster drop mostly weapons and chest pieces but brother that's the way to do it really make sure you're Exotics are all on another character in there more prone to drop don't have them in your stash or in your inventory put them to a different character and you'll just keep getting them dropping everywhere and change your build more frequently after each project you do I'm sorry not project after each I don't know what to call it supply drop control Point whatever that has worked for me and I'm getting them unbelievably fast I share with people that need it you know lower players that need them I'll help them out but I'll save a lot and I'll I'll switch them into my stash I'll log out I'll go to my other character and pop it over to her in her inventory is nearly full of Exotics because of this I'm going to have to start using a different character soon so if you take my advice and give it a try it works especially the Dodge City holster make sure that holster isn't in your inventory on in your stash and then you'll just get the four items you need through playing control points Rikers and the rest are in the open world in DC and then you'll get the Dodge City holster again and you can keep doing that even at Roosevelt Island or is it Title Basin I think it's title base and or the other one the one down south you get the Adrian you can get that that's not an exotic I'm sorry that's how you get named items that are very rare but anyways what I'm saying is true the less Exotics you have in your inventory or stash the better just put them all over to a different character and you'll get many more drops each day you play
Sorry for the long writing I just felt I should share this I hope a lot of people read this this is a fact I have gotten many Exotics this way you have to change your build a lot during gameplay okay and that makes them drop and don't have any Exotics in your inventory or in your stash put them to another character and they're more prone to dropping that way your Dodge City holster like I said above especially you can keep getting that very fast I mean it's a it's a slow way but I'm telling you I have in one of my characters inventory 150 full of Exotics so I'm going to have to do it to another character now and I've only figured this out a month ago so do the math it works give it a try see if it works for you you still builds then use all red use armor roll tank builds you know just keep switching your bills use hard wired you Striker use them all keep on Switching after everything you finish and you'll see for yourself that works man shot you know protection from a light it's not a unicorn to get a 13% protection from a light I have dozens so you just have to keep switching your builds and it will drop the opposite of what you're playing for a moment I've been playing this game for a very long time and I've tried to punch a new things and this is the way to do it I'm sure other people disagree but if you give it a try you might say wow that crazy f***** was right pardon my language
I have an off topic question, is there a reason to keep the trinkets that get looted through open world play? They use to have projects using them. Donate a calculator, or donate toy car? I'm maxed out on most item's and not sure why they should be saved. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
My memory is a bit fuzzy but didn't you have to donate them to get attachments for your weapons? If you make a new agent I'm not sure if you have to get all the attachments again that would be the only reason I can think of to keep them besides keeping them for the sake of having the collection.

@@Joseph-kj1ok if you make a new agent you are able to go to the blueprint lady inside BoO, you can then purchase the agent share blueprint package and material package
At a side note! At least fill your library as you farm for exotics! Then craft as gear set to use all the way to level 40! One gear set with capacitor and btsu gloves all level 30!

To be honest I think it's kind of cool this was shared because I just played basically with one character I'll switch off and on my other two characters sure just to hold good gear you know and that way I have more storage instead of just my stash you know you have 150 gear slots in each character as well so you can load out with good gear but anyways I always leave one character so I could do this so I did it and to be honest with you it was fun it brought back memories do I could say that's good and bad in some situations but this is pretty cool I mean replaying the whole campaign that is what I did and I enjoyed every moment of it because it brought back memories from when the game first came out you start realizing different gear sets and you know sometimes when you play heroic with a bunch of directives activated all the time and that's all you do for years and you're just the man running around killing everybody in PvP you know sometimes you just take a breath kick back and play the campaign again that's what these games are all about campaign I think in community like everybody is you know so that's what I wanted to bring up in this discussion was I think it's awesome that this was brought up because replaying the campaign is cool and I imagine you could drop a bunch of Exotics because you're replaying the whole campaign so you're going to get every exotic you've ever got from the moment you started playing the game I have like 300 days of playtime on my main character that's a lot of days of play time you know what I mean so that's that's serious but anyway I enjoyed every minute of playing this campaign and who cares how long it takes it's about having fun and playing the game but this is a very good video I highly recommend people to do it because it'll bring back memories of when the game first came out so for all you people who think you're better than everyone else just give it a try and see if you enjoy it

I believe you're going to need Exotics to upgrade weapons with proficiency but I also do believe they may change that I don't know for sure but charging that many Exotics to upgrade is unreal once you go past proficiency level 10 they start charging exotic components for each piece of gear you want to upgrade one point so that's a law and then the next one it goes up to two or three exotic components so that's insane they have to change that luckily I have hundreds and hundreds of exotic components cuz I've always deconstructed the ones I don't want the ones I can't share anymore with people that need it so I have literally like hundreds of them but not all players have done that so I feel kind of bad for them that they didn't know this is going to happen this game that that's not right they shouldn't have done that but they're making it hard they're making it hard for people they're trying to keep it fair so I kind of do understand why they're doing that they're keeping people playing the game that's what they're doing that's what I believe anyway just my opinion so your answer is yes keep your exotic save them if you can just pop them on to another character you don't use and put them in their inventory and keep them there if you need them you can just destruct them and use them to upgrade with your proficiency level because you're going to need them when you hit past level 10 you'll see so yes keep all your Exotics no matter what it is and you know keep the ones you use obviously don't ever destruct those but any other exotic you get you're going to want to keep my friend definitely the way the game is right now I hope they change it but I think they're keeping it fair for everybody and letting people catch up that's what they're doing they're not just going to spit out a bunch of content so nobody understands the game there's hundreds of players on this game it's unreal so that's why they're doing this they're keeping people busy and that's why they created town now to keep people playing that's what it is it's all games are marketing too you know it really is but anyways I hope that might help you answer your question my friend
So yeah save your Exotics put them on another character in their inventory that way if you need to destruct them for exotic components because after level 10 with your proficiency levels upgrading weapons and gear and whatever else your artificial high or whatever you use your Shield you're going to need exotic components for each upgrade do you understand what I'm saying so each exotic weapon you don't need certainly save them fortunately over the years I've been playing I have hundreds of exotic components that I've just deconstructed I've shared when I can but sometimes you're unable to share unfortunately so I just distracted it cuz I didn't need it took up space so just make room in another character or make another character and then just fill his inventory or her with Exotics that's what I'm doing right now even though I have a bunch and I advise you to farm for weapons chess pieces I just learned from somebody on this site here actually if you farm for chest pieces or pistols or SMGs assault rifles in countdown you're going to get exotic drops just keep switching them up every other time you match me or create account down and do it yourself but people are taking advantage of countdown now they're finding out how so if you get the bad group just leave it you have to find a group look at all their gear and make sure they're willing to work together if not then they're just going to screw you over that's the way it works now there's so many bad seeds in this game it's not like it used to be when people wanted to help each other but I wish it was and there are still a lot of players that want to help other players so you know I help those that need it that's what makes the game fun for me

I try 1 time, and drop exotic weapon Assault Rifle (dont have this on main char) and this is farm for materials from destroying weapon or i can get fast blueprints for main char? cause i destroy weapon who drop from case and dont have blueprint on main character to craft this weapon. how i can get fast exotic weapon to main character for playing this weapon? back to game now, last time i played end 2019 (have 1st exotic on this time) but now is a lot nice weapon to get and must play (do other stuff) or i can get fast other exotic from (this farm, something like that)?

I like going to that spot for water also but I usually go to the safe house because if I need food also I can go the other direction and there is a food depot that gives a lot of food just like that water depot. It's too bad they don't have a components depot like these two.
I like farming the components spots that are west and east of the solar farm because there are so many resource containers you can grab at the same time.

I would stick to countdown. I choose chest pieces and got 2 Tardigrade in 1 run. Plus materials to donate or add to proficiency .
Wow I didn't know chess pieces and all that worked I've been doing weapons up at the top like pistols assault rifles SMGs and shotguns that's mostly what I've got and I've gotten a couple in one drop but nothing like that and not many I think people are starting to realize how countdown works and they're taking advantage of it you know what I mean there's a lot of bad countdowns now only certain times I find there's good people playing
You know people like to pick on people that don't really know how to play that well we're a team we're supposed to be there to help them there's always going to be bad seeds quote on quote that's what G crop told me so he's right I mean there's a lot of bad players out there you know people that are just cruel you know what I mean it's not cool because kids play this game you know teenagers so people have to watch what they say you know what I mean but it is what it is I just wanted to make that known that's all

I already knew about this weeks ago. my boy Joker told me this trick he probably farmed hundreds of exotics however it is repetitive.
They should let exotics be dropped or be given as a reward for finishing legendary missions.

create new character, play til you get to choose a skill, use lvl 30 boost, buy item share to use crafting mats and water to complete weekly for exotic cache. weird tho, i just came back to the game and leveled to 40, my weekly doesnt say itll give me a cache
I was very fortunate throughout my 350 long hard days it says on my front page I've played I have deconstructed many so I have over 300 exotic components already so this for me is nothing but I guarantee if you wait and don't go up too high too fast it won't even cost hardly any exotic components I'm telling you they're doing this so you can't go up high fat that's what it is they want everybody to go slowly and catch up with the game that's what they're doing that's what makes the game interesting it's just my opinion let me know what you think

45 caches in Conflict and still haven't got the Rock and Roll shotgun
I got my one by doing The Summit with shotgun as targeted loot (from one of the Bosses at a 10th floor)

It has been for sale at the DZ vendors quite often. Make sure you always check those!

you will need them for the expertise leveling of weapons after level 10 expertise on a weapon

You have to buy Share materials on your main account first, then start with new account like in vid.

For legendary missions Exotics do drop buddy you got to go over and you got to open them up yourself they're in your combinations when you win a legendary Mission you do get an exotic but you have to make sure when you click on it it has an exotic there for an item to win but legendary is changing so I don't know what's happening now I don't play much of a legendary I've been running through countdown

Where you go for water there's even more in the tunnel around the abandoned boats I think more than 20 barrels, i start there every time I log in and then go feed my liberated farms to get the rest of their resources without having to fight saving time ! But true after level 10 when you got to gives exotics on top of too many resources the leveling up become painful and redondant , there so many players I see who are at level 16 or more whom their weapons are not even at level 1 , I try to explain to the new players your weapons are not any stronger at level 16 with weapon and build at level 1 than another player who's only at level 5 but with all his gear levelled up at 5 , a lot of player don't understand the leveling up at all you got to increase at the start to 10 notch just to be at the first 1 percent ! I know you touched the subject but you should make a simplified block video explaining it and insist players not to leave the nuclear plant at the end before others leaving all the players stranded behind cursing at you lol !
I craft a chatterbox a day for my 2 main characters and destroy them for 2 exotic components a day.

Do you know why they're doing Exotics on a long-term player it's because they don't want you to level up too fast that's why everyone's trying to expertise too fast that is slow it down a little bit that's what the problem is they're letting all the players catch up that's why they give you gaps in between been playing these games since they came out and that's the outcome I've come up with that's just my opinion respect brother thank you for all your videos
they need to just lower the requirement for exotic components. 20 for level 20. That means just rounding to 10 min a run. that 20 components = 3 hours and 20 mins per upgrade. That is not a grind that is burnout and is sending people away from the divison

Yeah I think calm down would drop them better but this is certainly an awesome video for people who don't have the opportunity to afford the PlayStation membership and play online at this time or anytime so if you need to get Exotics that way it's perfect so putting videos out like this I have bad respect for because it just shows people with the games about stuff they miss you know and I agree more Exotics should be dropped I mean I had over 200 Exotics and I boost it up my gear before most of my guns like a dummy and didn't realize I should have waited because it takes a lot of skill use to get your proficiency level way up to 20 to 25 you know I think I'm at like 15 or 16 and pretty much stuck there because I don't have PS plus anymore they've changed it all my subscription expired I missed the Black Friday deal so you know I'm going to get PlayStation premium with a PS5 obviously but point is this game does get boring it just does when you've played it for 5 years and you literally have nearly 200 days of play time no joke that is a lot of play time I mean serious serious playtime so nothing in this game can surprise me ever again so they got to do something new and I advise you be soft if you are reading these comments you Debs developers let's pick it up a notch shall we make a new division make something better come on guys you can do it you got a lot of people playing this game hundreds of thousands of people so why wouldn't you make something better it doesn't make much sense it's just not logical to me not to make this game better there's so many people interested in it and playing it if I was the creator or even one of the creators I would argue to push on this game better and better and better not necessarily give everybody what they want easy sure make them work for it and that's what they're doing they're keeping the game at a slow pace because it's worked for them before so whatever they're doing is working or else we wouldn't have all these communities correct? I been doing this for awhile now because I just don't get a lot of exotic drops from countdown but it's boring and anything other than water you need two different places but it's quick and easy the Dev's need to up the exotic drop rate by a lot but they probably want cause this is how they think they gonna keep people playing this game and some will but most people move on to other games. We want new content new missions and in my opinion pvp is the true end game but instead we get grindy ass shit like this 🙄🤨

Seriously? I run summit on heroic. Floor 10. All directives and get an exotic every 3/4 floors. Much quicker
It’s based on RNG though. My drop rate in the Summit has never been anywhere near that

This isn’t for exotics, it’s for the components. You only get level 30 exotics on these runs
Why you can't draft an exotic,unlike other weapons and components.Ubisoft is very restrictive.
I think it's so much easier farming with level 30 and the expansion and update to new york was the worse thing to happen to this game.

dumb how harder difficulty does not give a significant higher chance at exotics, challenging should have exotics dropping for all enemies. like red bars 1% purple bars 2% yellow bars 3% for exotic chances. heroic 3%, 4%, 7% and legendary should be 5%, 10%, 15%

Same here, I think this has been patched, I have a new lvl 30 character and I don't see the weekly SHD requisition project
The weekly shd req project has no exotic reward.

If anybody is reading this and they're trying to get the menace or any other exotics and they play solo and on normal mode like me most of the time I figured out a way to get them it only works about 40 or 50% of the time but if you bum rush a group of like hyenas or cleaners or something while they're just hanging out and they don't expect it especially on the New York part where the boat yard or the whatever the control point is boathouse behind that where they have the missions with the hostages and there's a body of water at the back where you can see the boathouse but you can't access it and there is a lockbox back there usually I go running down there as fast as I can and just start lighting them up I actually got four or five nemesis guns now four or five lady deaths three or four of the shotguns and I got the other gun that Auto locks on people that looks like a snake I have the bumblebee pistol straight from just bum rushing people and random luck or fighting it out with people and you can actually hear the AI bitching saying they're looking for me and they actually make it a point to serve for me because they're screaming they want their goddamn gun back it's hilarious but once I get copies of them I put them in my storage or whatever it's called stash it's sad I wish I can give them the people that don't have them because I literally have four of the MP5 gun that makes you bleed I forget the name of it The gun that fires when you pull the trigger both ways like an AK I have three or four of the silenced big black ellenges I have two of the big RoboCop looking assault rifles it's ridiculous but every time I get a f****** cash from doing these events it's always gear and I'm kidding you not that go backpack I have about 11 of them I had to finally break them down and use them for parts donate and just dismantle because there are so many copies of it that I have doubles I really do the wish there was the way that you could donate guns to people because I would love to give away these guns I haven't did nothing with the mantises yet because I only broke down and donated or use the parts for crafting I'm still learning how to do that but I probably screwed it up anyway if anybody knows the way to share the guns or send them to someone let me know I'd be more than happy every time I play like once a week I'll pick up at least one or two enemy exotics from just running it and bum rushing them like even in the tunnels in New York or even in Washington DC if they're like getting water somewhere and you creep up and they don't know you're there and then you just throw a random grenade so it kills them like a frag or a some type of explosion grenade where it kills most of them especially the elite patrol they almost always if you can take them out within like 10 seconds dropping a leak gun and they're pissed they run around the whole game going into control points like crackheads on meth and PCP looking for their guns especially the snake gun I took that and I only have one of those like a month ago and the cleaners or whoever the hell they are they're still bitching about it every time I beat their ass my armor is so ridiculous that I can literally kill everybody in the game and never die by myself but I'm also a very good shot and I don't use them assist I got really good at sniping without using it so I can do close range smacking and I call it and long range and that's usually a one hitter quitter for the elite sometimes when you're right behind them if you hit them in the head but there's many ways to get exotics it sucks because every cash I get is either a duplicate of knee pads or some type of armor I'm sure it'll come in handy have an eight of the same armors the exotics but I have the blueprints for everything that I have so I don't know? It gave me the blueprints once I got the gun even more when I take them from the enemies and the world level or control point level half the time it's not even out of control point and they're never really high because I'm doing it by myself and it starts getting hard by myself because it's just hundreds and hundreds of idiots that are invincible come running in and I have my striker I mean my drone and my sensory gun that I set up to help me they're pretty much my teammates my drone is invincible it can literally rape people on the dark zone I rate like four people that were trying to take my s*** before I extracted with my drone and the century gun and quick maneuvering I don't usually play the dark zone because I had a bad experience people were acting like my friends for like an hour I accumulated all this s*** and then they decided to turn their back on me and go rogue and kill me All they had to do was ask me and I would have gave it to them they lost a friend over some s***** gear but just to keep in mind you can't get exotics just playing I doubt them mainly in New York I played that a lot just by raping the piss out of people especially it territory controls and elite patrols and elite territory controls storm in that b**** like there's no tomorrow and f*** them up use the drone use a century gun use whatever you got to use I'm noticed once you get all the upgrades for the drone and all my slots are armor but the backpack it is the kill confirmed exotic backpack which makes me invincible in the game as long as I keep it close and keep running up and killing people I grab their kill confirm bar and it gives me almost a whole bar of armor again I don't know how to count the stacks but it's like 3 or 4 stacks of gray and two or three stacks of blue armor when it's full and it takes a long time for them to kill me I can literally have 30 people shooting at me while I'm still in their supply drop container and I'll get it while the whole game is shooting at me lol everybody's out there different ways of doing it but I hopped up all gillen gear I think three of those and two Golden gear all with blue defensive or armor or health related armor gears or mods sorry about the long message but it was a lot to explain very easy to do especially when your armor is invincible and if you have that backpack I forget what it's called but it's the best thing I've got in the game hands down I've had to revive so many people playing co-op and they wonder why the hell I'm still alive I don't think they have the backpack the only thing it sucks it has about 37 lights on the back of it circles and dots and very visible at night but I don't care I want to fight them I want them to come to me so I wear the shoes that have the strobe light when you walk the old school LA gear style light shoes lol The tennis shoes it looks ridiculous at night running down an alley with two bright ass blue blinking lights running from them and then hide and then shoot in the piss out of them ambushing them anybody know how I can share or donate a whole gun to someone let me know I'm still learning a lot of stuff about the game and I've been playing it for a year or so now I never really paid attention to doing craft dinner modding I would just wait to get the 170 power level and fully upgraded attachments or mods that come with it are pretty high and usually my armor and health my health is about $500 almost $490 in my armor is about 2 to 2.2 million I don't use any skill or any yellow or red boxes yet and my drone and gun still put in work I used a couple the other day with three of the armors and it was ridiculous how fast they were dying I just put it back to where it's a little more challenging especially with a pistol but to me it's a waste it doesn't give you that much advantage using the guns but I'm still learning about the talents I need to watch some videos about how all this s*** works anyway Good luck guys I'm redoing the summit after being stuck on floor 100 for a month or two didn't know you could reset it just by looking down when you get in the elevator before you get on and clicking in one of the toggles the reset the whole level now I can do it over and over again and keep getting free s***

Holy s*** you can make a new character and still have all your old stuff? I'm still learning I'm watching the video now I see today is going to be a RUclips division educational day I have a shitload of gear and if you can share them back and forth that would be great because I can start putting some of my gear and their stash if possible I don't like getting rid of it because they're all really really good but I keep getting more good I'm like a hoarder I need to figure out how to do loadouts as well and figure out exactly what the skills and haste and all that other s*** I don't use those I just use a completely armored up dude with ridiculous force and aggressiveness

There is literally no other method I can use to farm 5 exotic components per hour in this game, no RNG involved.
If you run open world consistently and do five of these runs each morning you’ll be able to collect enough components to level one item up to 20 in 11 days.
