I’m so glad you found it useful! Where are you based? If you’re in the Philly area I can get you connected with some really great key grips I work with that may be down to help you get on the grip route! Really appreciate you watching Muhammad!
Great job! For a cheap solution to shape the light from the 200d, how about a $8 30 degree snoot from Amazon? Wondering about a video where you talk about white balance. When lighting a talking head interview where sunlight is coming in a window somewhere in frame, sometimes I’ll take a custom white balance from where the talent is (via in camera custom white balance on a white card). Then I’ll set the key to that white balance. What are your thoughts on this?
That should work! Obviously it wouldn’t have as much ability to fine tune as a spotlight, but it would for sure work. About white balance, yeah that’s a great way to go about getting your lights to match the temp of the ambient light. I used to do that all the time, now I’m kinda lazy and just match it to eye lol. Really appreciate you watching!!
Thank you ! It’s a 2.39 ratio or 4096 x 1716. It just felt right for the project haha I wish I could give you a deeper reason but I just liked the way it looked. Really appreciate you watching!
I didn't recognize you without the hat and glasses 😂 What was the camera's what balance please ? Cause I am currently trying to figure out how to light a scene with one light so THANK YOU (and also stop reading my mind)
Haha I guess I do look a little different without them! My cameras white balance was set to 6000 Just to warm up the daylight ever so slightly. Hope the vid was helpful. Appreciate you Rania!!
Nope! Sometimes depending on the light ratios you don’t need it. Because I had to expose for the windows with some nd and there was already very little light coming from that way anyway. Having the nd on my cam basically made any light coming from that direction non existent. Does that make sense? If not dm me on insta and I’ll explain further! Appreciate you watching!
Love the insight with one light. Super insightful!
Glad you liked it! Appreciate you Luke!
these are really helpful as someone who is working on becoming a key grip these are helpful ways to build out a base knowledge for future projects

@@carstenschlag is this like one of the aspect ratios or you customized it? It looks good!
It’s a pretty standard aspect ratio. It’s a common anamorphic aspect ratio. It’s one of my favs!
I didn't recognize you without the hat and glasses 😂
