He wasn’t even close to 1st down. But then even to continue badness, they placed the ball within 1st down range! AND then continued to say it was not a first down!!! All madness all around. Horrible placement, and then follow up call.

When I saw this live, I just don’t like what the officials were doing spotting the ball very close to the first down. It looked like he’s a full yard short of the sticks

Or more like was a dumb call and dumb route concept by Titans OC to run a route short of the line to gain and dumb for Ryan to throw to him, plus the 3 fumbles they had and gifted the Steelers 9 points i guess the Titans offense decided to give the Steelers a early Christmas gift.
@@cwcw402 not every 4th down play has to be a route where the guy catches it past the line to gain, it was a great tackle, any less head on of a tackle and its a first down
@@davidl8759 I understand that but in that crucial of a play u for darn sure make sure if hes not past the line that he has enough room to run before he would be hit or take a shot at the endzone otherwise running a curl route thats a yard short with a mediocre receiver is not smart but Titans are in a bind because their WR position is shot right now with AJ and Julio out and their TE position is horrible combine that with Henry out its a mess.
I thought the fumble he caught was more of a pic because the ball never hits the ground and he takes like 2.5 steps

Amazing tackle, followed up by a Keystone Cops performance by the officiating crew. First, the spot was nearly a full yard too generous. Then on the measurement, they still said it was short, even though it was pretty clearly not by their own measurement. Then the review crew finally woke up and decided to end the charade by spotting the ball back where it should have been to begin with.
Officiating this season has been an absolute embarrassment.

the refs almost managed to completely botch this entire sequence. they spotted the ball nearly 1 full yard off of where it should’ve been, almost allowed the titans to run another play without reviewing the play, and they didn’t even properly measure the distance since they placed the chain several inches to the left of the ball instead of adjacent to it. i was so scared that joe haden was gonna get shafted by the refs for what seems like the millionth time in his career, that could’ve been the worst call of the season.
