Just bought a Remedy 9.8...just in time for Spokane's Snowpocalypse to arrive. So now, I just lust over it in the garage and do trackstands on it...LOL
The little piggy back on the shock , only on the higher end remedy’s and the slash , what are the benefits of that ? Never seen it mentioned anywhere .
The piggyback allows for a larger fluid volume and more effective cooling of that fluid under heavy use. As the shock works and the oil is forced through the passages in the shock, it heats up. The hotter that fluid gets, the less effective it is at damping the shock's movement since its viscosity thins. The piggyback or reservoir combats that heat fade by letting the fluid in the shock body be exchanged with the fluid in the reservoir as it heats up. In other words, your shock feels and works the same at the bottom of a long rocky run as it does at the top. Shocks without a resi will get what's called heat fade, where the shock loses its damping abilities under heavy use. Hope that helps!
The Loam Wolf thanks for that , I read on the slash 9.9 review , whoever reviewed that bike said they preferred the suspension set up on the remedy which is interesting.
@@TheLoamWolf im 99 percent sure that on the thru shaft reaktiv duluxe shock that the piggy back is only a static air can for the bikes posture when resting.. this is from speaking with sram mechanic. Must be pumped up to a high psi (250 i believe) and has nothing to do with much at all. If infact its the same shock as mine which is off the remedy 9.8 2018. Swapped out the thru shaft deluxe shock for a 2019 DPx2 fox factory float with an actual piggy back and have not looked back... a far more capable rear shock and tuning is mint. low speed compression adjustments and so much more supple. If you can get a remedy fitted out with fox suspension it would be the way to go for sure. They absolutely rock for an all mountain machine and with the dpx2 on the rear and a set of minions you can hit any track anywhere with super confidence.
I have the 2017 model n by far my favorite bike I've ever ridden. I'm curious about the transition from full float. You better hook it up so I can give you an accurate review...
Remedy is looking great, I'm glad they kept the price down instead of trying to sell a $10K bike that is 250g lighter.
Man, that would be a dream to win a Remedy.
I picked up my Trek today and I have to say im in love, fucken amazing bikes.
Are you still happy with your purchase cause im seriously looking into this bike
It's not a Trek if it's logo doesnt fill up the whole bike
Had a look at them yesterday, the 9.9 isn’t available in Australia, and the Miami green is only available in 8 and 9.8
Tell me how to be eligible for the free Trek Remedy

Bonjour, je mesure 1m70, quelle taille est faite pour moi ?
Why are TREK bikes more expensive than others brands?
Are they ? my friend has a santa cruz whish was £2k more then my trek bike and they both have the same parts.
Corn Pop Link or it never happened
They're actually making a solid effort to reduce prices. This is the cheapest 9.9 Remedy they've offered.
No reviews on the Fuel EX at all.....I've got one on order......come on, Trek!
