Question: do you have a house payment?
Great inspiration story on watching our finances.

      Thank you so much, Pat.
No, we don't. We have been renting ever since we sold our house. Hopefully, one day, we will get a house again. But right now, we would need a large amount of money to put down to make the mortgage payment lower than we pay for rent right now. 😍

It is so true that sometimes you have to really evaluate what is really important, and get rid of the things you don't need.

It’s great to hear you guys are in a place where you can be happy and secure with one income. Joel made a good point that it’s not necessarily what you make but how you use that money . You have to be in control of what you save, spend or how use your money. For me I have to be so disciplined with any extra money because I feel saving is more important then going out to eat or spending money on some new kitchen gadget. But that’s a lot easier said then done lol I think I will make some financial goals for 2022 because that’s a good idea!

Thank you. We are getting there. We are still working on saving more money for our emergency fund and a nice down payment for a house, but we are definitely in a better place than we were back 8 years ago. You are so right. Absolutely. Yeah, new kitchen gadgets for a person who loves to cook is a hard one to pass it. lol. Oh yeah, we love to make financial goals. It keeps us grounded. 💞

Great talk and you are excellent examples of what is possible with a focused and disciplined financial plan. - Rick

I feel like VA might still be the same now. Don't quote me on that. Down here, they just voted last year that it has to be $15 by 2026 and they set a schedule for increasing it to reach that number by then. It's $10/hour right now. Awww, thank you. Thanks for watching. 😍
