    This video covers a very basic introduction to JASP: where to download the program, opening .sav and .csv files, how you can move around the windows, modules, analyses available, example descriptives, and cutting/pasting into Word your output.
    Lecture materials and assignment available at statisticsofdoom.com.

    Thank you, thank you. This is the first "tour of JASP" I've found, and am most grateful. Thank you for taking the time to start at the beginning!

    Thank you for this very informative video , very straight forward for a beginner like myself .I could actually understand things that seemed hard to grasp before this !

    I love your videos, but I cannot access OSF through the downloaded JASP version 0.14.1. I am hoping to use this platform in Spring 2021 for my Statistics course.

      Hi - I downloaded jasp 14 ... it allows you to access OSF. What issue are you having? You need to make your own copy first of my OSF page by forking it.

      @@StatisticsofDOOM At OSF, I first created an account through ORCID. I could not connect this account to JASP and the JASP developers could not figure out why. Once I created a second account directly through a different email, that account connected to JASP easily. The developers are now contemplating what the difference might be.
      I am excited to get started, using your fork (is that how the lingo works?), and I am so pleased with JASP itself, particularly for a general education statistics course.
      Thanks so much for replying and for your videos

      @@larskjeseth2611 That is odd! I think JASP and/or COS would be better equipped to answer that issue. JASP is great! They have more tutorials on their site too.

    Can you define your own models using this program?

    • @StatisticsofDOOM
      @StatisticsofDOOM  3 года назад

      Depends on the type of model you are talking about. There are many options for variable definitions, output types, etc. But if you are wanting to customize the distribution or link function, no.

      @@StatisticsofDOOM - I would use DataFit to define my own models while in college but the software does not seem to be available anymore and was hoping JASP would have similar capabilities. But thank you for your response.

    just another statistic program? In recognition of Bayesian pioneer Sir Harold Jeffreys, JASP stands for Jeffreys's Amazing Statistics Program
