Wow... This is amazing. Had a quick search on other peoples versions and this blows them out the water. Hopefully the well deserved views/likes will come flooding in !!
Great vid. Very precise but also captures the attitude of the song perfectly. Not to mention the super guitar sound. And thanks a lot for the tab; I’m playing this song with my son (drummer) and this really helps. Some tricky rhythm stuff here.
ugh, another great video from you. you recommended earlier i check out your foster the people videos. TOO LATE. I already had hahaha but here's another quick and flawless foo video you have done. keep em coming :)
Cheers Frans! Yeah I really like this one, Its a real rocker and theres a lot of subtle little bits I could imagine might be missed so I thought I ought to put something up. Foo Fighters songs were some of the first songs I'd ever played live with a band before so I had to put some of their tunes up!
Will Hay Guitar You're welcome! Yeah some parts I was straining to make out the notes being played because of the powering vocals, but I knew there was definitely something there haha. That's awesome, you're doing an amazing job mate, I'm looking forward to seeing your covers for the other songs on the album when it's released!
Check out my cover of the track Congregation, including all the solo's (especially the cheeky latin one!) Congregation (inc solo's) - Foo Fighters - guitar cover HD tabs
hi will. excellent job, you nailed it! definitely a joy to watch and listen to. your tutorials are great as well and much apreciated. im a subscriber now ;) i would fancy a word or two about how to dial in the right tone and getting the backingtrack would be great :))
Sounds great and correct, but why didn't u pan the guitars so we could differentiate them better? and where's the third guitar? I know it's hard to find Pat's guitar even in the records, I can never figure out what he does too.
Hey Rockboy, the lack of panning wasn't a conscious decision, more a sleep deprived omission. If you're trying to determine which parts are which though I have made full tutorials for each guitar on my channel. I purposefully boiled this down into two guitar parts to make it more useful for a band to perform, mainly as it is quite achievable this way; the third guitar needn't be included as several parts work quite well together simultaneously. As you say Pats parts aren't always distinct however deduction usually helps determine which parts go where I find. As I say, most of my covers have been arranged with the express interests of a dual guitar covers band in mind rather than reproductions of each guitar, though of course Ive attempted to get as close as possible despite this. Not always possible as Congregation and Outside proved. Will
Thanks! I understand, but it's true that Pat's parts are always unrecognizable, it's even worse live, u only hear dave and chris, there's very few songs were I notice 3 different parts, I have a 3 guitar band in a similar genre, but each part is different! Thanks for ur work, this was a great cover and it really doesn't feels like a 3rd guitar is needed.
Cheers, Im really glad you like it! Yeah I agree it does seem a shame not to use that extra voice at times to expand things (like the role Joe Walsh plays on the track Outside) and then come together to strengthen things where needed. Anyway take it easy and have a happy new year! Will
Hi I was wondering cause I wanna do a cover like you did for this song with the two videos merged together into one like you did. Do you know how do you do that im just wondering cause I don't know how to do that? I haven't had youtube for to long so its some what new still to me.
@@Willhayguitar Dude I hear your old band stuff. Just love it! You guys have any other songs?? Are you guya still active?? Congrats. Really good atuff you have here.
Ha thanks Martin, really glad you like it! The song for my intro and outro music is from one of my old bands songs, you can hear it and a few others here: haich.bandcamp.com
Dude, I listen to the haich songs for so many years. Fat controller, faxxy. Great stuff. Could you upload some video playing a haich song here? I would really appreciate it
Hey Arni, I tried to refine the tracks down to two guitars where possible to make them more feasible for a covers band to play etc. At times the guitars just mirror each other or could easily be refined down from two guitar parts into one. I mention which bits Ive done this with in my tutorials for the tracks. It worked well with this and Something from nothing but then there were parts in Congregation and Outside where I couldn't get away from bringing that 3rd guitar into play. Will
Will Hay Guitar I see :-) I was wondering if some of the chords are played differently in some live videos of them. I am trying to learn this song and trying to figure out the finger positions of Dave for some time now, as some tabs on UG would also differ from you in some parts - so thats maybe the reason why... The intro part is terribly fast though - can only make it work with finger picking :-(
Outside!!

Amazing, again! Was hoping you'd do a cover on this when it came out, makes the less audible parts of the song much easier to learn!

You should hook up with Colm Dowling and create a Foo Fighters cover band!
