This was really cool following along! Thanks for taking us along your journey. That's cool that the places came with the furniture but I can't get over the space of all these apartments and places lol. Bless your heart love. Can't wait to see part 2
My friend, I enjoyed your video including your insights, but I am still laughing at your quote, " Oooh nooo, in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost! " I am crying in tears. Lawdy Be lol lol lol. Gurl, I am so done! lol lol lol
My husband and I bought a place on the sixth floor. Of course no elevators BUT it’s two floors with a very nice balcony. I find I use Meituan a lot more now haha
The elevator life is a luxury. I'm just always worried that I'll break my foot and then be SOL. My very first apartment here had two floors and it was lovely.
That apartment at zhongshan park area is perfect for me! Not too much funiture and interior is not too tacky. But living at the first floor in shanghai, it will be very humid and cold! I’m going to move to other place from next month, hunting new apartment, too! There are some cheap and good places in Nanxiang area, but it’s quite far from the centre of city! Maybe we can add wechat and share some imformation each other! I wonder how much it cost in your mind for rental fee?
Yes. I need to live within the square. Anything outside of it is too far for me. Also, I'm not sure what a rental fee is but your realtor should be between 15-35%.
Angelique think of it this way you do not need a gym membership if you have to walk up 5 floors. there are cheaper apartments but in China those are Chinese only apartments. the foreigner ones are more expensive.
Angelique Michelle what district you live ?? I’m living in Yangpu district . Regular “old style” Chinese apartment not looks like that . That definitely new design . So much Korean look apartment . I hope my company give me those kind of apartment 😄❤️
@@winnieewin5834 Shanghai was international known n developed wayyyy earlier than Korea. Sure everything looks Korean stealing culture and history assets from China ain't enough right? Jesus was Korean yeah I bet.
@@AsEverAngelique he's not even Chinese lol, don't listen to him, it's definitely Old Shanghainese style, there's many evidences to proof it. (I'm Chinese grew up in China)
but in china, no one wants to rent the first floor it can easily get mold and BAGS ,and not much sunlight and so much noise, not much privacy so it is always cheaper there
I found my first floor apartment to be very quiet. It depends on the building and neighborhood. Same with sunlight. If you're a clean person and take precautions then you won't get bugs or mold.
@@AsEverAngelique i did got adviced a lot ab not renting a first floor apt by my chinese friends, most of the time mold and bugs is not something you have control of and it does got very hot in summer and cold in winter so ppl usually avoid it that why their prices are lower ,but as long your happy with yours it's good

I've moved three times in Shanghai and I finally feel like this is a space that I can stay in for a while. Thanks for watching!
Loving the walk throughs and the pricing ! Some of those apartment prices are wild !!
They were all wild!
Girl I’ve been watching this video screaming lmaoo you gave this landlord SMOKE the whole time I love it
Michael is my realtor but he for sure was trying it. Lol. He's amazing though.
Girl your apt have been the best one I’ve seen!
Thank you. I'm happy to be in a new space.

Just came here to see what housing is like but just been laughing out loud throughout the whole video. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
LOL Michael tried to play me a few times but I got a place that I like.

rent in Shanghai is basically outrageous. I'm from taiwan and lived there abt 5 years.
I find it to be comparable/cheaper than other major cities in the world. i.e. New York, London, Los Angeles, etc.
@@AsEverAngelique i c. thanks.
I recently moved and can relate to everything in this video.I was crying with laughter.....I also was not raised like that, it's hard out here!
Apartment hunting and moving is such an adventure itself. I am completely over it.
This was fun. Is it normal for apartments to be furnished??
Yes. There are a lot of foreigners here who only stay for a year or two so most apartments that we're shown are funished.
Your commentary sis is too funny 🤣🙈
Thank you. They really are out here trying to play us with these prices though. Lol

First apartment is not regular Chinese apartment . It’s more like Korean apartment . Love it so much . But yeah it’s expensive af
The apartment that I moved out of is in lane house. A lot of apartments in Shanghai are like that.

Why did you open other peoples fridge whom were already living in that apartment that actually killed me hahahahaah
I open everyone's fridge. It's a good indication on how clean the apartment actually is.
上海很美。希望你在那里过得愉快。我 😁🇨🇳
我做到了。谢谢你。
Let's be straight, I'm pretty sure the moment they see you're a foreigner they they add 1000$to the rent... 🙄
They charge us so much. The different between my rent and my neighbors makes it seem like we're not even in the same city.
@@AsEverAngelique that sucks. That's clearly discrimination. 😑
It's fine. Foreigners get paid more so it doesn't really make a difference.
You're beautiful ❤️
Thank you for seeing that in me. You are so amazing.
Stinky tofu makes you quiver (:ll
Oh my gosh, I am not a fan of stinky tofu. Spicy tofu on the other hand is amazing.
