Doing a half-assed ascension on a fairly strong base character will not matter as much as going M+ on a decently strong one, especially as F2P. If you've started investing on one Cel/Hypo, then go M+ first before committing to another, or you'll end up with 2 mediocre units instead.

Yeah I dont really care much about the new hypo but I am still not buying reiner or using my pulls until I feel like I can guarantee M+ of him
@@Tona214 -- Reiner is the exception to the rule. He's not really powerful until you advance them, but his base ability to absolutely ruin opposing formations is often worth it. When facing stubborn PvE fights, you'll often have to contend with an enemy back line that's hard to disrupt, and has some grotesque healing or DPS power -- sometimes both.
Reinier makes it really easy to pull a squishie of your choice out of that safe back line, drop it in where your team can maul it, and in exchange you can drop one of your brawlers into the middle of their remaining squishies. The ability to disrupt an enemy team's formation is incredibly powerful, and Reinier has that right away.

I caved and spent all mine. Got super lucky with pulls and got to mythic + on Reiner. (Buying one of the packs that gives you a dupe copy) So not mad
most support are outsourced but ive seen multiple support tickets of people asking them if the arena shop would refresh with a different list of characters (this was during first few weeks of game launch) and if when they add a cel/hypo/new unit into the game, if they would appear in the guild coin shop or arena shop, and each time they explicitly said the developers have no plans to change or add different characters to the shops anytime soon but would be open to the feedback
He is a hypo of illusions so summoning illusions of himself is a definite possibility
I recently started my absolutely f2p account. I got lucky with Vala and decided to save my guild medals and orbs until I was sure that I would get the hero to the level I needed. I'll probably take 1 copy if I need it, but at the moment it's not required. I am constantly in the top 10 of my server without investing any money. and that makes me happy. I used to play with donations on a server where there were a lot of whales and rarely got into the top 50. Advice for those who cannot get higher - start on the newest server and using your experience and knowledge you will get much more in the same time.
Hopefully those clones count as summons, He would be a nice addition to the Zoo Comp.

Honestly if you dont pay for summons. you will never save enough for new cel/hypo fast till mythic+. Reinir is best for 99% of people.
depends if they add new ones to shop. and if they release a new cel/hypo with no way except $$$ to get them we will have the season incident all over again and it wont be good for the game at all. just hoping they understand that
@@VolkinAFKJourney Honestly for 99% of people i would still recommend to go for Reinier till mythic+ especially now for season and districts. even if they add new ones. We both know every unit is only good at mythic+
@@VolkinAFKJourney hard disagree, and I think you are doing a disservice to players with this idea of saving for the future. Reinier is already super op for different game modes, should just finish him first.
F2P players should not worried about "saving" or even be excited for a new Hypogean/Celestial character atm. Everyone should stay focused on raising the Celestials/Hypogean characters they're already working on. We don't even know when this guys is coming out. Love you Volkin, but even if you're not DIRECTLY telling other people to save, you're still making people THINK they should. Be careful with making vids like this.
usually in gacha games they dont put the new heroes into the store immediatly, but after couple weeks or am i wrong there?
I’d really love a breakdown between Scarlita and Reiner
Reinier is best for Dream Realm and doesn't need more investment than M+. Scarlita is more of an allrounder, quite potent in PvP, but needs S+ to really pop off.
The main factor is, that high Dream Realm rankings grant more yellow essence, which enables you to level up more EX weapons on time, while arena just grants pulls.
This is the reason most people recommend Reinier first.

@@cowboysamurai8192 I mean, you do you, but Reinier doesn't need S+ and will definitely help with Dream Realm later on, which will be your main income of EX weapon mats. He's the strongest debuffer in the game.
Scarlita is also really good, she just doesn't make as much of a difference.

This is exactly my thinking pattern - For me, the real deal are the celestial/hypogean units. Rate-up banners aren't quite like the way I perceived them initially (like the ones in say Genshin or Honkai Star Rail) where you could potentially get a really OP game-changing character. Cel/Hyp are the real game changers as far as I am concerned. I invested in Dionel & Scarrlita and I don't regret it one bit. Have been smashing people left, right & center with them & now rocking in supreme arena. Can't wait for the next Celestial unit (Tasia Please!?). I get stargazing summons from the arena store every week and if I buy a pack or two per month, its the stargazing pack.

Skip Reinier just sounds like a not smart idea. Dude will most likely be a DPS and DPS are a dime a dozen. Reineir has the most value and longevity, ESPECIALLY for a F2P like you Volk. There is almost zero chance that he comes out and is a better pick up than Reineir.
Question is how many whales/dolphins/mini spenders are in your server? Unfortunatley for me(f2p), if i want to stay within top 200 i have to keep summoning and shopping for dups lol, or else ill fall way behind in rankings. So far i'm mostly within top 80-100 daily. Wish i can save but if i save, it'll minimize the potential daily rewards as well

Is the champion store really the only income source for stargazers? I don't remember where I got them, but I have about 40 stargazers as of now. And I'm not champion rank yet, so I don't have the store.
For F2P or low spenders this very bad idea.Get Reinier to M+ then save is my advice
I really hope we get some more appealing Characters to pull in the future. Honestly this patch is a huge bummer so far. Story is lame, and Characters look like a typical NPC or correct me even they look better. There was this one chick who was in charge of the whole battle conquest those clans fought against each other. I do not remember her name. But that's how a rarity character looks like.

So is the gimmick in this game that all of the rate up Banner units are mid while all of the whale Banner units are the only good units in the game? I’m not sure how long it is supposed to take a low Spender to reach mythic plus on any given stargazing character but there is no way anybody is going to have multiple of them without making huge sacrifices to the rest of your roster.
The true gimmick of the game is that A level heroes are the best but you need 64 of them to get to supreme+

I haven't tried, but I don't think that would work. You'd still have an equal chance of getting one of your 5 wishlist characters (4 A tier and 1 S tier). It's just that you get more copies of the wishlist A tiers than non-wishlist A tiers.

But we just don't know how good the next cele/hypo will be, they might be much better overall then reinier for all we know, or they will be worse then Berial.
