"The perfect shop is the shop which is available to you". So true!!
That's why I mostly go to my parents, where all the materials and other stuff are laying around. I can just start off and don't have to think about stuff taking space at my apartments cellar.

Laura, the way you describe how you work and are inspired are the words I have been looking for in describing how I work. I thought it was only me who worked spontaniously and needed everything there and it was driving me nuts. Now I know others are like that too and it makes me feel better about my own creative process. Thank you for inspiring me and others.

I needed this so much right now. A shop like yours is my ultimate goal, but for now, I've been building my workshop in a small extra room in my house, and I've been getting bummed at how fast it's filling up before I've even managed to really start making anything. So I really needed the reminder that, it's not about what/where you have, it's about how you look at it, and utilize it. So thank you.
Seeing your shop like this with your trailer home now makes total sense. It is a perfect example of a picture speaking a thousand words.

It's funny you mention the night, that's my favorite time to be in my little shop. When the world is quiet and it's just you and your idea. And that place is drool worthy, being able to drive bikes and cars inside is definitely a dream shop, congrats!
Awesome, so get it, I was a carpenter, had an accident, put me out of work and this was hell for years so I got a small shop built at home and this has helped me so so much. I spend a lot of time in there and love it. Enjoy Laura.

I love your philosophy, people call me a hoarder because I recycle a lot of materials, but I have a crazy vision of almost everything and always end up using it in ways that no one would. I use my dads garage as a workshop since I don’t own a home but in he very near future I would love to own my very super shop! Thanks for sharing your shop!

How you describe your workshop is exactly how I feel about mine, it’s my sanctuary, my inspiration and even though I’ve been in business for a long time I still smile every time I open the shop door in the morning and relax when I walk through the door, that’s how work should be! I've had a workbench since I was 9 years old and now I have a workshop. It's the happiest place on earth! :)

I haven't had a chance to set up my dream shop yet, but this video makes me so excited to have that opportunity. I suspect my mindset with how I lay everything out will be the exact opposite of yours, but your enthusiasm and excitement is still so relatable! Can't wait to move this fall...
