- Longer is well known in the 3d printing space, but now they also have a laser engraver. Its main feature is that it comes with a touchscreen controller that allows for offline engraving and is also equipped with wifi. In this video, I test how well this works and what you can use it for.

When I save a file from Lightburn to the sd card, the controller doesn’t show it. What do I need to do?
Excellent video. Thanks!
Nice review. what is the HHhome at the screen?
Why can it not cut clear acrylic?
Because the laser (just like all other diode lasers) is a blue diode laser, which just goes straight through the clear acrylic. You would need a CO2 laser, which is in the infrared spectrum to cut acrylic, as it is opaque to infrared light.
@@DarkArtGuitars Could you not just put it on a colored surface or leave the blue film on the bottom layer so that’s it would not pass through it?
@@bustthisghost For engraving this works, but for cutting you need the laser to be blocked all the way through, not just at the surface.
