Dungeon synth is the genre you have always needed, but never knew existed...until you listen to enough black metal to suddenly stumble upon ambient black metal, and then, eventually, dungeon synth. At least in my case. Anyways: lovely album. Magical and nostalgic.
I've listened to countless dungeon synth artists all across the board, from the creators of the genre in the 90s to the metal fusionists that have recently come up in the past few years. Of all of them, this artist is my personal favorite. Quest Master just absolutely nails the old school ultima sounding tone with authentic sounding hardware and instruments. No fancy tricks and no superficiality, just lots of care, love, and soul. They have a very bright future indeed, and I greatly look forward to any albums they might procure in the coming era!
Ultima!? Old school MS-DOS rpg that I've never played...but I'm super into MS-DOS games. You know of anything that has that glorious adlib/opl3/soundblaster sound?...other than Burzum's first demo.
I was really drunk playing d&d with my friends last week and quest master came on shuffle. I think I spent 10 minutes explaining why this was the greatest dungeon synth album ever lol. It's probably for the best that I barely remember anything other than that.
This hits the aesthetic sweet spot. From the Ultima esque artwork to the nostalgic 90s rpg tones with soothing melancholic twists. Questmaster is definitely one of those few stand out DS artists that I'll listen to outside of my D&D writing/play times along with Holedweller and Encloaked. It's so amazing to find such releases full of personality in an underappreciated realm of music.
I don't know how much you read the comments posted on here, but I love so many of the albums you've posted on your channel so far. Thank you! This stuff is great for campaigns and generally just daydreaming.

I haven't wore a band patch in like 15 years and I'm sewing on an Old Sorcery one in this very moment. Didn't think I'd ever get this excited about music until I discovered Dungeon Synth.
This sounds suitable for a late 80's or early 90's video game soundtrack, especially for one game in particular: Zelda. Maybe a very early 90's version of Zelda Majora's Mask, because of the rather melancholic tone of the plot...
Very cool. This sounds exactly like the age of wonders 1 soundtrack from the late 90s. Check out "Perilous Quest" from the age of wonders 1 soundtrack!
Quest Master has yet to fail with making what I consider some of the greatest Dungeon Synth I've heard all my life. Down to the very names of the tracks, each song feels like a high adventurous journey beyond the material veil! Long live Fantasy!~
Normally I just lurk on music videos, but I thoroughly enjoyed this while drawing a map for my D&D campaign. Thought I'd like and leave a comment, I hope these works can reach more ears.

Hey I was wondering if you could ever put together a dungeon synth comp video that includes ambient rain and thunder in the background, I’d love to fall asleep like that. Also quest master rules

I guess you never grew up playing Kings Quest, The Phantasie Series, D&D SSI games or other great PC/NES RPG's.

I love that the covers look exactly like 80s video games but were made in the 2020s ^^

Who else is similar to Quest Master, closest I can find is Candlekeep who done Quest Master covers
Greatly?

I need a dungeon synth album like the first Unreal soundtrack. I'm obsessed trying to find music like that.
Quest Master just sounds really... generic.

My homies used to make jams like this in the 90's. We called it Gorph or Wasteland music. Never knew it was a genre until now. Fucking Word!
These names make up half of the song's beauty and immersion, damn.

10 minutes well spent xd
dude i'd love to her that ngl
I really love this channel, as much as i love Dungeon Synth.
Makes sense.
Bro i just spent 15 minutes of my life trying to find a 90's game called Quest Master because of your songs. Thats how good you are
this album takes me back to sitting on a scratchy basement carpet playing ocarina of time on n64 with my big brother ♥love this

The warm mead and crackling fires of the Gremweld tavern is amazing. I've listened to it about 20 times in the last 24 hours
Ascending The Crystalline Steps Of The Starlight Temple 01:01:29
Holy shit man, why'd Quest Master have to make me cry?
No worries, when the keys came in on Sonata of the Twilight Butterflies it hit me pretty well too.
The song titles just gave me two years of dnd campaign ideas
This is the best release ever. I've been listening almost nonstop.
This is a masterpiece. I was playing windwaker few days ago and it reminds me of games from early 2000s
Спасибо за красивую музыку!Кажется я одни из русскоязычных это слушаю))
не одни! безумно люблю dungeon synth))
Vibrant Marketplace of the Moon Valley Kingdom... 💖
It's just so wonderful and happy.

This music is literally magic.
Wondeful album ! One of the best Dungeon synth album I've ever listened
Really loving this.. reminds me of the ocarina of time soundtrack.
I say this with complete sincerity, this needs more cowbell.
One of my all time favourite. CD remaining on out of season !
Here, take this sword 🗡
It's dangerous to go alone
This runescape vibes gives me chills, its so nostalgic is unreal

It makes me want to hear what this would all sound like using general MIDI
dancing for money pl0x
I used to beat the shit out kids in gradeschool who played runescape instead of diablo.

Wonderful, perfect for dungeon crawler videogames
I immediately recognized the album art as a composite of different card images from the Wyvern CCG. The original artist is Peter Pracownik.
This is the sort of thing you love to see uploaded in the morning! Fantastic
New to the genre but so far I havent found anything nearly as good as Quest Master. Hail
Been digging this release. Had to get a patch! This stuff is great.
@Árpád yeah, on Out Of Season's webstore

It does sound nice for Zelda! My group is doing a 5e campaign of Majora's Mask. I'll have to show this to them :D

Man those first two blew my mind 😢
masterpiece...
Super nice. Not even 15 minutes in & I'm already captivated by it.
The Four Sages Of The Equinox @58:10 awoke latent memories of playing Chrono Trigger as a kid. It's so cozy.
These somehow are more soothing than most other compositions....
This is 90s nostalgia in music form I love all this music Ty for making these compilations
The Fountain of Healing Faith is my favorite.
I am into black metal and retro fantasy gaming... and youtube has gifted me with this gem.

Great album. Runescape/10
Sounds like the album that will hook me to this genre for the first time.
Waou, I discover this artist and it is so nostalgic and magic, thanks !
Does sounds like Computer disc year 90'S 2D games 😊☺
Ultra mega awesome!
Beautiful sounds. Love this!
THIS IS THE ONE
Reading Berserk while listening to this is quite the best
Es hermoso, como la improbable y luego mesiánica reunión de un paraguas y una máquina de coser en una mesa de disección 👑
Favorite track: Sonata Of The Twilight Butterflies 42:23
These would all make amazing beats
I like this. It reminds me of the OST from an early 90's PC RPG.
Love this
Super nice, thank you.
I think it was one of the Ultima games that had a soundtrack like this. Love it!
Love from a WolfSige and Vaush fan!
first few notes of the melody are a kesha song
Flowing Rivers Of Wyvern Tears From The Aqueous Palace Of Whence They Came
This feels like a video game you fondly half-remember playing as a kid.
i like it. It's kinda like an old NES track.
6. The Hallowed Halls Of Decadent Sorrow 09:43 Perfect dark synth
Brilliant oldschool soundtrack
Definitely will search for Volume Two. And, when the accursed plague leaves us, will definitely play this music to my DnD team :)
