I bought the same boat in 2008. Had it in the Atlantic for one season. Beginning of next season, engine was tight, real tight. One of us thought he would help me and get it running. He hooked up the battery and bent the rods. (this is a 6 cyl mericruiser) . Pulled the engine and it spent the next year in my garage. Bought a new heat exchanger, all new rods and pistons and had Highway marine in Quakertown, Pa. rebuild the stern drive. Got another season in a local lake, but then life intervened and the boat sat until now.Started to clean it up over this recent winter, but you guessed it, the engine won't turn over. Pulled the plugs, sprayed WD 40. cyls looked clean, no evidence of water.I'm going up this weekend to go further, but if it still doesn't budge, I'll pull the stern drive. I'm 81 years and I hope to sail the high seas in my boat before I die. You might wonder why I waited so long. Busy, had things to do.
WOW! Sounds like you went down the rabbit hole with it after having those bent rod issues. It’s really cool that you held on to the boat since then though, even if life got in the way you never let the boat go. I admire that. Would be cool to see her back to life and on the water again!
What is that triangle shaped steel piece on the inner transom? Never seen that before.
Someone’s awful idea of a ski hook/ski stand. Not really found of it. Seems as if the replaced the stern light fixture with it.
I bought 1984 25' thunderbird cabin cruiser and it been the best still does 30 mph. Full galley bathroom shower main birth two aft sleepers . keep it running you'll love it.
I bet that thing is sweet! There’s a part of me that wants to buy a cabin cruiser, like a PC29. I think those are pretty cool units & being formula made you have a good name behind the build. I will definitely enjoy this boat, we will see where it takes me
