Thank you for putting together this series and keeping the memory of those who fought alive, I have always had a great interest in the Battle of Normandy and the actions of the 6th Airborne Division. I live in Canada, and have only been able to so far see Normandy through books, documentaries and pictures but getting to listen to Neil Barber's knowledge on particular sites and actions allows for a deeper and more personable story to be told. Thanks again for these videos, listen to them all the time while painting and modelling the Battle of Normandy in 1/100 scale. Thanks again and stay safe!
I appreciate these detailed vignettes that bring names and individual sacrifices into the light. The bravery is remarkable. I suspect the enlisted men would have accomplished the objectives with or without officers as they were so well trained and prepared. I can image the para's relief when they saw the Shermans coming up the road.
