This is one of the best records from DC and East coast hardcore ever.
Definitely
Some of the best Gibson sounds ever captured, also those neck bendings, awesome drums, fantastic, especialy side 'Ivor' B.
so underrated - this record kicks ass
The instrument sounds on this recording are leading the the sounds that Don got on the Rights of Spring recordings.
nice pick up, mate
yup some say the track Untitled is the birth of emo. Or the track Say No More
And 3/4 of the band went on to form Embrace
Definitely yes
@@hankgege2199 ignition don't forget Alec's ignition
One of the best hardcore bands. Another less known band was Double-O. Search RUclips for them somebody uploaded their 7"
Got that ep it's awesome 😎 needs a reissue
Thanx for the recommendation 🤘🏼
Saw their last show.... at Space 2 Arcade in DC, with COC. Damn fine show.
That HC POSTPUNK MY GENERATION INCREDIBLE GOOD. Ive 55years old.
i fucking love this band.
ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT HARDCORE RECORDS OF ALL TIME........According to some people.
It's excellent but ..... Yeah
Ive never heard anyone say that. Cool if thats yr opinion tho. Faith and void both did great records that year. Tho voids was much more unique while faith continued with more of a hardcore punk sound.
@@RyanGriswold-og7eyI’m actually kidding. I just think it’s funny when people describe a record that way.
this is really better than almost anything out of dc . almost .....exceptions minor threat and govt issue
George Steen Bad brains. Dont forget bad brains
+Clarissa Frase Great point Clarissa! I love Bad Brains! In fact...I didn't even know you liked them!
George Steen bout to listen to "You"
Void, United Mutation, Bad Brains, Rites of Spring.
Artificial Peace?
alec rocked i must say . that old bar back guy from the 930
HAHA... and on beyond zebra slinging beers
This is better than the split with Void stuff
Maybe the Void side is so next level, it just appears that way. Both are great.

Is this the singer of Void on this recording?
Nope...this is Alec MacKaye, brother of Ian from Minor Threat.
Ahh The same Alec from The Untouchables then. Sounds a lot like the singer of void though!
ian jacksonYeah that's him. If you're diggin' on hardcore check this site out: www.killfromtheheart.com/
@@ianjackson7916 So you're telling me you thought it was the same singer who sung on the faith/void split

Isn't this a 7"?
+Amones-Ray It can't be a 7", it's almost 13 minutes long. A 7" can only last 8 minutes maybe
Indeed, classic single.
it can. the Dirty Rotten EP from DRI is a 7". but its on 33RPM instead of 45
It's a 12".
Faith VOID
Proto emo?
Emo was influenced by hardcore punk Bands like husker du, articles of faith, the faith, die kreuzen, black flag etc. All influenced emo and screamo
Also fugazi influenced emo heavily
