I agree. I can tell from the spreadsheet that he didn't peak in training and burn himself out before the comp and that he conserved his energy in the heats.
Luckily I will get to watch day 1 of the final on Saturday.

This groups thing is so fucked that people dont even compete in events anymore. WSM needs a change in procedure.
Some of the guys didn't finish the events so it's not that they're too easy. But they do need to get rid of the group crap and just have everyone compete in a normal show.

I am here in SC watching the events. Eddie was swamped with fans trying to get pics and signing shirts. He was in a hurry to get eating but graciously took the time.

@@BuffPomsky I’ll say it again, they have a long term contract with Channel 5 that they can’t get out of, Channel 5 air it over 7 days between Christmas and New Year and has been this way for over 30 years, they’re obviously doing really well doing it this way or the broadcasters would have changed it 🤷
@Charlton2010 idc if it makes revenue, it's not what the fans want. If the show wont listen to fans, we dont have to support it either when there are so many better options

Hooper proving that brains are important, makes the sport more attractive , yes he still is genetically blessed, but he shows you don’t need to be a brian shaw to dominate
Mitch Hooper and Brian Shaw are more similar than you'd think.
Sure Brian at his peak was 150lbs heavier, and is 4-5 inches taller,
but Brian was always smart. He won so many times because he had no weaknesses and for the most part always tried to compete intelligently.
It's awesome to see Mitch doing the same because that is absolutely necessary to become someone who wins 4x. and I can see Mitch being the next 4x or even maybe 5x WSM winner.
