Fantastic - what a beautiful piece! I must admit I was a bit skeptical about fifths tuning at first, but now I want to try it. Love it.

Thank you! This tuning makes the instrument entirely different. Most of what one is used to do cannot be done, and a new wide world opens.
Also, I find that composing over a tuning that one doesn't own results in very interesting "mistakes".
Check Barry Tone's Fantastic Adventures, by Donald Bousted, for great fifths tuning music, including pieces by Gilbert Isbin and Jim Dalton.

@@choan I would like to tune my tenor like a violin but I’m not sure what nylon strings would take that kind of tension. Any suggestions? Or maybe FCGD would be better.

@@SeattleUke violing tuning is quite high for the tenor scale. I'd rather stick to viola tuning.

Ciao! What string set are you using for 5ths on the baritone? Grazie

      I'm using a tenor. These are guitar strings, from some D'Addario set I had floating around. 1st (A) is a E string, 2nd (D) is a G string, 3rd (G) is a D string, 4th (C) is a low E string.
A and G tensions are perfect, D and C are on the higher side and could be perfected by using strings from a low tension set.
