  • The Most Painful Hells Angels Initiation Rules
The number one rule of the Hells Angels code is, “Always back your brothers.”
If you ask people on the street what Hells Angels are, some will say “Harley Davidson bikers,” some will say “criminals,” and some will say “an honorable club with almost 80 years of history.” So which one is it?
Well… all answers are correct from a certain point of view. The Hells Angels Club started out in the 1940s, and as it grew, it became tougher.
Let’s explore some of Hells Angels' craziest and most painful rules and the reason behind these.

I remember reading in Outlaw Biker magazine way, way back in the mid-late 1980's, of one biker who was forced to prospect for 13(!!!!) years before he became a member of the club he rode with. He only got a full vote after one member of the club who didn't trust him one iota died, and the next time the club voted on the prospect's possible membership, he got the full club vote. Later, after a few years of being patched-up, he ratted the entire club out to the police, to try and bargain a plea deal for less time on a minor law infraction. He lost in court, got sent down, and met some of his former club members in prison, doing serious time after he ratted them out. His sentence got shortened a lot faster than he bargained for, and he met his just reward at the hands of some very unhappy ex-club members. Turned out the late club member was right all along not to trust the prospect while he was alive.
