I did catch it in the corner of my eye! They showed us that shot before christmas which was why I didn’t have a strong reaction but when I first saw it I was going insane 🤣
I really hope that we get a lot of moments with Yasuke being a templar. AC Shadows is allowing us to play as an assassin and a (by the end of the game, former) templar, and that's exciting.
im thinking that naoe's blade is somehow an isu artifact and it's what the templars are looking for. Also, pretty sure her dad tells her like "dont let anyone get this" or something like that. It might be that Nowanaga has informed Yasuke about it and how that's what they are ultimately searching for
Very excited to see more Naoes customisation after what we have seen its amazing. And we can take off the hood and toggle it thank god. And like someone else said yasuke will know the Assassins from horror stories told by templars about "shadows that kill and leave no trace of them ever being there" yasuke is probably thinking oh shit the apex predator of stealth like something of that one Altair trailer where he kills a guy with a knife but is never seen
This is honestly going to be my make or break for Quebec. This is such a really good concept, but I still have concerns because of Syndicate and Odyssey's writing. If they drop the ball with this, I will not trust them with another AC game.
From the other videos I've watched it sounds like the tone is a lot more serious than Quebec's previous fare, at least in the early sections people got to play, so I'm starting to feel pretty optimistic!
I watched Skill Up's video and ge stated that an issue that comes up is the fact that Yasuke cannot do two of the three core gameplay pillars, those being parkour and stealth. He can only do combat. By playing as him, it seems like you sre choosing to lock yourself out of some core gameplay mechanics. Naoe can access all three core gameplay pillars effectively, albeit slightly less effective at combat. I can see some balancing issues regarding the two playable characters. It feels like the game world is biased towards Naoe far more from a gameplay perspective. Regarding narrative, ot feels like an AC 3 like story, with a dash of Unity or Syndicate in there.
He’s there for situations mostly regarding too many enemies or too tanky enemies in an area. If Naoe has issues taking all them down or staying hidden then Yasuke can come in and fuck shit up
It's not an issue because Yasuke was solely put in the game to be a badass unit in combat. While he does have some stealth options, he wasn't made for that purpose. This is one reason Jacob and Evie got some flack, because both were functionally the same, with very few differences. Bayek didn't have parkour, and neither did Alexios or Eivor. These games don't only revolve around parkour. There has always been an emphasis on combat and stealth which all of these games have.

You can regard it as Naoe is the main character, the assassin, while Yasuke as an important aly
