The straight tramp bars were for the early mk1 also when you set your tramp bars you need some weight in the boot if you go with bilstein shocks on the rear standard rated leaf springs you will find that it’s plenty good enough for the road and a bit of track day as well
Rotisserie, I've been restoring escorts for over 30yrs now and where I mount mine is at the front xm mounts with a steady bar at the sway mount each side, for the rear I never go thru the panel but use the holes from previous towbars or similar. Doing it this way allows access to front and rear panel. To hold the car at angle for working on i use a focus ST front rotor and a Toyota 4 pot caliper rigged to a escort handbrake modded for hyd. These are parts I had laying around .
I've finished the rotisserie and got the car rolling now. The video of it is pretty much ready to go, maybe this time next week if i dont get too many interuptions.
Hi Glenn it’s looking good when welding the brackets to axle you have to jack the axle up to the ride height there is a good video on RUclips performance classics

Yeah I thought about that later. Going to get the leaf springs sorted out then i'll try again at ride height.
