In today's age of technology, people have grown to be more separated from the world. I feel it's quite important to, when you can, spend a few hours just reconnecting with the world around you. There is just so much information available at incredible volumes, we can easily be absorbed into it and lose ourselves. Sitting, relaxing and spending some time just listening to nature around you has more mental and physical health benefits than people realize. And I do enjoy watching you do just that! Cheers

At my home camp I use a brake drum off of an 18 wheeler for burning my campfires, my question is ...if I took a 55 gallon drum, cut it in half from top to bottom and set it behind my fire pit, how much would it focus the heat? I am a little upset with the people who give you a thumbs down on your videos. If they do not like your films they should stay the heck off your sight and just stay on pansy sites made for children. I realize people enjoy life to the fullest as seen on Tom's site. He tries and plays with new ideas and has fun living life to the fullest and others should give him full respect for that! Just because others do not design things or perform bushcraft your way does not give them the right to always be negative and hateful. Tom has a beautiful heart and the love for sharing life and bushcraft ideas with other people, friends and children too. When you pansy people run into terrible times in life it is tom and the people which he daily teaches who will survive in life. So many birds calling & singing throughout the video. Very relaxing with the crackling fire. I will say the the crows intermittently dominating with their volume and numerous voiced caws to each other are my favorite. They sound like they need to tell some tale about what they saw. And the others are like, "hmmm I see" or "thats impossible" and "tell me more". LOL silly crows!

The closer we get to nature, the fuller and more beautiful it is, Tom. The squirrel cooker is ingenious, recently I made one with a few improvements and I use it every time in the permanent shelter.
This makes me feel so much closer to my roots (I'm a Valkenburg.. we mined flint for about a thousand years I'm told...not far from you). I am a throwback and gave studied primative and survival/bushcraft skills my entire life. Watching you is like having an old Nordic friend that I've never had in the states. Thank you for bringing me the life and the look of my ancestors.

Enjoyed your trip. I have a old 13 ft retro 8 hp cruise boat I have fitted for fishing. I love going out in the early mornings with my coffee royal, throwing out some lines, and sitting listening to nature. It may be primal but to me this little bit of solitude is so enjoyable. I may be wrong but I think you experience the same thing on your trips.

So many birds calling & singing throughout the video. Very relaxing with the crackling fire. I will say the the crows intermittently dominating with their volume and numerous voiced caws to each other are my favorite. They sound like they need to tell some tale about what they saw. And the others are like, "hmmm I see" or "thats impossible" and "tell me more". LOL silly crows!

The closer we get to nature, the fuller and more beautiful it is, Tom. The squirrel cooker is ingenious, recently I made one with a few improvements and I use it every time in the permanent shelter.

I am a throwback and gave studied primative and survival/bushcraft skills my entire life. Watching you is like having an old Nordic friend that I've never had in the states. Yeah that’s a big area ( in Denmark) but about 30 km south from where I live is the largest forest in Denmark 🇩🇰

Enjoyed your trip. I have a old 13 ft retro 8 hp cruise boat I have fitted for fishing. I love going out in the early mornings with my coffee royal, throwing out some lines, and sitting listening to nature. It may be primal but to me this little bit of solitude is so enjoyable. I may be wrong but I think you experience the same thing on your trips.
