Dave, I never ran either of those Rossi's they were gifted to me. That 65 was flown in pattern comps back in the day. The axe I believe the guy told me it had one or 2 runs on it he couldn't remember. I did give them both some marvel occasionally an attempt to keep them freed up and lubed.
I opened up my Fox .45 to replace the rear cover gasket and I noticed that the outside of the cylinder sleeve had a layer of rust on it. I was easily able to clean it off and the engine still runs just fine. What would you recommend to prevent it from rusting again?

But I remember a time when Rossi was the Ferrari of model engines.

I just recently did a video on storing engines and oil. I also just read an article on the same subject last month. So look for those videos.
