Especially if they used allot of practical gore effects. And maybe not have the costume design be as tacky as was depicted. The skeleton king and Lazarus looked great but the Butcher just looked like a fat guy in a suit and Diablo looked like hell boy
For a game that makes effort to show blood and gore the film would have to take it to another level with practical effects. Seeing Tyriel on screen would also be a reward.

He was just a skeleton with a sword, but that mace they gave him stands out more and letting him keep hair and beard as a skeleton was the right move. At the same time, The Butcher in D3 is a complete total fail.
Honestly I feel Diablo would be a great game for a Castlevania style animated series. First season covers the first game, with all the side quests giving you plenty of mid season episodes to help build the world and give the characters time to grow/for us as the audience to become attached to them, as our three main characters (the three original player classes) slowly make their way through the labyrinth, of course periodically taking brakes to return to the surface for the aforementioned side quest as well as rest and resupply. Second and possibly the third season could be the second game as that one's a bit larger/more eventful and has more characters. Diablo three could pretty easily be one or two as well.
This would be so amazing. The only thing we can hope for is that with that success of the D&D movie the greedy film corps will be looking for other fantasy franchises to film.
Couldn't agree more - In fact it would make a great trilogy - but I just don't trus any studio not to ruin it. They would downplay the hero and any other male characters to bumbling nonentities (unless they're PoC) and elevate supporting characters like Adria and Gillian to central roles that they don't have in the game.
Staring from the lore in Diablo 1. It makes you think how much things have changed when the Diablo 3 lore was introduced to the fanbase. Now Diablo 4 is on it's way and it's going to be hard to picture the lore being canon to the very beginning. That feeling when things change.
i just ask for them to let old enemies stay dead... i don't want to even touch king leoric with a 10ft pole... im ok with things like the mayor demons coming back since they are free again thanks to that idiotic angel. but yeah, im sure they are gonna butcher more of the diablo 1 lore
@@MrLocurito You guys are dopes. For all the weirdness and evolution of its lore, Diablo 1 was written as taking place in far bigger world and cosmos than the game touched. They were leaving themselves room for all sorts of huge, strange stuff right from the very beginning.
The funny thing is cain and adria look like how they look in Diablo 3, considering that it takes place 20 years after the events of Diablo 1 and 2. With that in mind, I believe that in Diablo 1 Cain was around his 50's whilst adria was in her 20's. This would of course make Cain around 70 and adria around 40 in Diablo 3.
It may be the nostalgiamine flooding my brain, but I still think the Diablo 1 Tristram song is still the best Diablo song. I didn’t think New Tristram was any better.
Diablo 1 is such a masterpiece. The atmosphere, the music and soundscape is awesome. I still enjoy playing the original every now and then. I haven't played Diablo 3 yet but 1 and 2 are among my favourite games of all time. ❤❤

Nothing blizzard releases now days comes close to the feelings this game brought.. from the game to music 10/10
it was a medieval horror film. D2 is a pyschological thriller. D3 is Avengers done wrong
Sad but true.
the ppl that made diablo left blizzard even before it was commercialised , meaning that their product isnt rly their
