One of the producers mentioned that the Yautja from Prey is of different ethnicity and hails from a different region of the homeworld than his future compatriots that's why he looks different.
Makes sense with diversity & equality agenda in this day & age, that is the why the movie failed & is the worst looking Predator to date! Im surprised they didnt make the Predator trans sexual with a rainbow laser sight!
