I just had the chance to travel from the US to see the Voyage show about a month ago and was totally blown away by how real the Abbatars were. It's a show that I hope everyone who would like to see gets to. It was amazing!!
I booked a ticket as soon as they came available and went on August 29th and flew from Spain to see it . The Abbatars were amazing far, far better than I had anticipated, they really do seem realistic. On the big screen you could even see the realistic looking texture of the skin, the shadows of them on the floor, see through Anita's white dress when the back lighting showed the outline of her legs underneath with her other leg showing. I watched as you saw the texture of the materials and sheen on their outfits and glint in their eyes. One song, 3 of them move forward for from the shadows then return to the shadows, I thought as they went in to the black they would disappear (switch off ) No! you see them turn around in deep shadow as their outfits catch the light then move forward again. They are not a hologram as we have known in the past but a seemingly 3D experience. Surprisingly even the guitar and piano that seem so solid are 3D. As for the lighting...fantastic! Atmosphere...fabulous and fun! A concert for all ages from 10year olds to 60+ (their original Fans) were there. I loved the people up dancing in their seats and Isles or doing hand swaying from side to side with different songs and the audience singing along to every well known song. With others of all ages dressing up in ABBA version outfits. My friend came as an ABBAtar in black outfit with the red markings and small white balls stuck on. Others full of glitter and silky outfits in bright colours. It is a concert to remember, if you get the chance, go. Finally the live supporting band and backing singers are brilliant and do a fine job.
I was there May 26th and 27th and again July 17th. All 3 times there was an amazing atmosphere in a sold out arena. Don't miss out on this incredible show.
I was there, two days in a row. I saw the real Abba on stage. They were there, all four of them. It was offered by Abba to attend that special evening trough the Official Abba fanclub. We had the time of our life. Went back the next day and had places to sit and watch it from a distance, omg, what a experience it was. In a few moments you forget watching Avatars, it's like they are really there.
I was there too on May 26th on the dancefloor. It was just magical to see them live on stage at the end. I went for the 2nd time last night in the seated area and wasn't any less exciting or magical. I can't wait to go again next year. Amazing. You just can't explain it to people. You have to be there!!
@@paulatelling9514 I'm glad you were able to attend the concert. And I'm glad you had so much fun. I hope you get a chance to attend the concert again. Did you find any unique items in their gift shop?
They are not holograms! That is something that they have made clear multiple multiple times. They are digital avatars. There is a difference holograms are created by light, the digital avatars are created by light, sound, and reflection
I watched till the end…but such a shame they couldn’t carry on longer. I really do long for those days back in 70’s though when they were shall I say…vibrant
@@68corvette08 850 animators worked for months to make this happen. Imagine what that cost. ABBA needs to fill that theater many, many times to recover their expenses. It may be aired on TV at some time, but it will be years from now.
@68corvette08 That stinks? How about buying a ticket and respect the effort and money behind this concept? Some people really feel like the world owes them something. Typical white trash.
beautiful and legendary- a show whit out time limit like there songs. this way they can still make a show in a other 20 year .. lets bee realistic-- they are more then 70 year old they dont have the same stamina as when they were young.
It makes the most sense for aging bands. Sure it’s nice to see them in their physical form, but legacy acts can be a little disappointing to see in real life unless they bring a ton of touring support.
Just saying words seem to be popular in these videos. "It didn't seem very entertaining to the fans at first, but after the first show many fans seemed to be loving the concept". Sure.......... completely opposite emotions. All in same sentence. So as much as I was loving this video, I just started hating it.
Hate how I missed this and never heard anything of it, also Whyyy is there no video or jot even One Song if the virtual concert also Whyy not a live stream or video of the concert, like I would pay top dollar for it on video or DVD or be able to see it, I don't think it's fair that you actually had to be there, they should release a video of their concert at least..all I hope is maybe in the future they will ans I will be able to buy it ans watch the concert one day😔 cause they really are amazing and I know so many if us missed it
It wouldn’t be the same on video or DVD you wouldn’t get the same experience as the light show itself is amazing 🤩 you can’t capture that on DVD. You can still book now to go as I believe it’s on in London until 2025. But it was on the news that they were taking it on tour so maybe you’ll be able to go then. As for livestream, you are not allowed to take any videos as they tell you this before the start of the show and if caught, they’ll ask you to leave
I went yesterday, totally amazing You can still go and they are now taking bookings up to January 2024 Very easy to get to even if you don't know London
I know I am 1 year late to reply to your comment...but...if you haven't seen this yet, you can still get tickets. They'll have the show up and running until January 2025 (at least, maybe even longer but that's how far I could find tickets for)
i dont think the Agnetha Avatar does Agnethas beauty justice dont look like her , her long gorgeous legs and thin arms looks like she was lifting weights
It's telling that it's hard to find any actual footage from the show that isn't pre-recorded promotional footage. It's almost like ABBA don't want you to see how bad it is, and expect you to invest money to go see on the hope that it's actually good without any first hand footage of if it's worth seeing.
I must be the only ABBA fan who could find fault with the show. Perhaps I expected too much. I won't say why as it would spoil it for others but I now wish I had read all the newspaper reviews beforehand as the clues are there. It's a feast for the eyes of course, but I thought I was going to see ABBA in concert as they were in their prime but of course it's not that, how could it be. RUclips clips of the '77 & '79 tour dates are better.
Anybody who has anything negative to say about this show ,clearly isn’t an ABBA fanatic ..ANYTHING that gives us a bit of abba is greatly appreciated ..it was the most amazing show I have ever seen ..and Iv seen a fair few …
Just left the arena, went with my mom. WOW!!!!! What an experience. I was mind-blown!!! So, soooooo good!! I’d happily pay to go again in the future.

I am so happy for their comeback seem like there are fans who are younger, thats good.

Who cares. You are still paying the box to go watch a video
This is just like the MJ performance just more advanced. Yes, it is holograms with music. Avatar? Just a different word for it.

This is WAYYYY cooler than the kiss avatars, and im a lifeong kiss fan
I'm shocked at how there hardly isn't any footage of these shows on RUclips. I've only found one, and I think it was a really neat presentation.
No one is allowed to film it and who does otherwise is taken out of the arena. That’s why.

This paves the way for other ''old'' groups. David Bowie, T-Rex etc!
only living ones

curiosity?
I wasn’t there, but my life is still full and happy. My family, greatest experience a person can ever have.
Will this show ever travel to America?
I hope they will do something similar for MJ as well ❤
They can't because it would be a show of an impersonator. This is the real ABBA
Impossible cause MJ is dead.

Why doesn't anyone film the abbatars? 🤔
KISS is next.
I want Led Zeppelin to do the same. I was too young to attend their original concerts!
I watched till about 4:10
Can’t take the voice
I watched to the end! (But WHO SAYS it's their "last" performance???)
I wonder if miku would be able to perform in the ABBA Arena.
NZ here
I would really like to know if the song (I Have A Dream) was a Devine inspiration to write and sing, 💫🙏💞
