- We drive the competition car - Aston Martin V12 Vantage Carbon Black Edition, we go through the CTR upgrades so far and how the car performs on the road.
We will have all Vanatges next week 2005 4.3 2009 - 6.0 v12 - 4.0 v8 2019! This should be some review and great to look at values too.
Thank you to all the members and everyone who has entered the competition too, with Jake Hill now part of the driving team in 2024!
I would love to know your comments and wow this CTR 6.0 v12 will be a great car soon.
Regards
Richard

Sounds stunning and looks dead drop gorgeous cant wait to see it soon
Thanks Nigel, going to be incredible when we finish the build
Totally agree with your comment about road rage. I felt that this escalated in Covid when the roads were quite and it’s carrying on 😳
Now Im not alone being biast to Aston and Porsche
Hi Richard, I notice that the ride (only from watching the video) shows that the low speed damping is far too firm. You may be able to retain a passive setup if you have a 6 way adjustable (hi-speed, low-speed and blow off) able to be set individually. I know Lotus spend a lot of time on this. This platform has a big advantage, as it is stiff and with the carbon brakes and the new wheels, a very favourable sprung:unsprung mass ratio. Good luck with the solution…
Hi Julian, the bespoke Intrax are on order and will totally change the car, very poor on b roads and not great even going quickly currently. Looking forward to sharing when done as it will totally change the car
Many thanks, looks great
Recently sold mine after 7 years and got a Lusso… I do miss it though.
Liking your no-nonsense videos 👍
Thank you
Joined a gym and went for lunch there 😂
A man's got to eat!!
The steering on the v12 is lighter than the v8 because it has variable power steering. It’s also why you lose a little bit of steering feel compared to the v8.
Would love to see a 2019 CTR vantage 4 litre automatic.
Hi Richard, what type of wheels you have? Size and brand? Many thanks 🙏
These are Apex 19in - I am going to do another order soon too.
Hi just a quick question but I was wondering if you were related to the owner of topaz detailing cuz you look and sound very similar
Thats not the first time someone has asked - be interesting to do a joint video 🤣
Nice looking cars from the outside but the interiors aren’t that great.
