You have done an incredible job of chronceling this disaster. You did a great job portraying the human side rather than 'just' the disaster. Thank you so much even though you often had me in tears. Love you all.

My appreciation to the teams of people working around the clock to restore and rebuild this vital artery. My brother lives north of Kamloops and he’s saying that the local stores are still having a really hard time keeping the shelves stovked

Wow. I finally broke down and wore a thin sweater today….along with all the other articles of clothing one should wear. 😀. I turned the heater off on my pool one week ago and the heater on in the house here and there about the same time. East Tennessee. I love the snow as long as my power stays on and I don’t have to drive in it. It’s beautiful up there.

I’ve been in a long distance relationship with my now fiancée for the past five years. She lives in Vernon and I live on the Sunshine Coast. It’s been a horrible feeling being cut off from her. My kid graduates this summer and then I’ll be moving up there full time. These last few months definitely seem like they’re going to be the hardest in all of these years. Your videos really do give me a lot of hope and make me feel a ton better. Thank you so much for your efforts with all of this.

I have to repeat the words from below as I am of the same compliment. Your reporting on this rebuild has been absolutely phenomenal. I’ve watched every video on it from Calgary, Alberta formerly of Salmon Arm a few months ago and have travelled that highway lots over 15 years! I know this road so well. Drove during the forest fires and saw the miles of burnt out forests. Strangely, the washouts did not occur in the fire burn zones.
I saw Global news story. This is way way better. It is human, made life long friends with Mike and Ute. Love the dog. The progress, the guys going full bore and the blazing speed of rebuild, the monster rocks to divert the corners in the river. Just amazing.
The reporting, the camera work, the interviews, the quality makes the TV networks look like a news job, where yours is a human interest story with real people, not reporters. Big difference. Good Work!

Thanks so much for the video updates. It is so encouraging seeing the tireless work to get that road open. I so want that Coq to. open. I’m an addicted backcountry skier. I usually ski up on Thar, Nak and Zoa on the Coq. Can’t this year I bet as essential only. But then Hwy 3 should then open for non essential after Coq reopens. Then I can ski ski ski. Not my first choice I imagine there are sledders that are dying to get into the mountains too. Stay safe. Maybe three more weeks.

Great coverage. Thanks for keeping us informed. I remember when the Coq was built on an accelerated schedule in the mid 80s. They talked with great pride about how the river was redirected in several locations to accommodate the highway. Hmmm... I guess that worked for 35 years. I wonder how long the current reconstruction will last? Not that I have any better ideas.

Great news reporting job guys. Very informative still. Also a good 'human' angle. As a side question/note: How can they get machines in the river and be allowed to dig in the river? If I want to do any road work privately I have to spend months to years to get a ton of permits from MoE and DFO.

The story of the good Samaritan was to illustrate that someone who was looked down upon stopped their agenda and helped out someone that other people just passed by because it wasn't worth their time and effort to help out. There isn't anyone else out there who can help . . . Jer is being himself, an awesome human. Seeing a need and fulfilling it. 👍🤟🙏
