while some people are complaining about how this movie doesn’t make sense if it actually happened, i think it’s really good. even though there are a few things that don’t seem correct, such as when Josh says something about how there’s no real reason to be moral if there isn’t a God, there is still a great meaning to this movie. i think that when Rev. Dave and Rev. Jude kept having trouble with starting their rental cars, it was a sign from God. a couple minutes after each rental car situation, there would be someone who Rev. Dave is talking to. whether it was Ayisha or Mina, he was always there. i think that God was keeping Rev. Dave from going on vacation because he knew there would be someone who needed Dave. also i think this movie is a message to not not fall short in faith. Josh was attacked by his prof and girlfriend but he didn’t fall short. he continued to state what he believed in and didn’t agree to something he knew was wrong even though everyone thought it was true. he risked his grades and friends for God, and that’s an example of true faith.
It was viewed this so much because they are searching. This world points to a creator and we all know that we were created by someone...and that's God. We all wonder where we are going to go when we die...there is hope. We don't have to be scared of death. God died and rose again so we don't have to! He made an excellent point in this...If God is not real then why are atheist so angry all the time? Because God's not dead...HE'S ALIVE!
there is no creator/god by what you just said I can infer that you only believe in god because it gives you hope you should read a science textbook or at least look into it and actually think about it
***** exactly! The evidence is so blatantly obvious around us. They have to be willfully ignorant not to see it. But as for me...I chose to see the invisible amazing God that is coming back for his children one day!

+Para Handy my very existence is not evidence for there being a creator thats like saying our existence is proof of evolution it's an unsatisfactory answer that can go both ways. an intelligent designer would at least try to make a perfect creation which we are not
Not all atheists are angry and I have an email folder full of Christian hate. I don't think either side of this coin have a monopoly on virtues. After all, if the U.S. is 90% Christian, then they are the ones having the abortions. Especially when we take into consideration that there are fewer atheist women than men. You may need to clean up your own house on abortion and sex-crimes before judging the atheist for anything. Some of the 'angry' atheists were raped by clergy in their youth. That makes for a very angry atheist, Chef.
Think that's just him projecting a lot of his own frustration. Wouldn't you be a bit angry if you had been reduced to appearing in low-budget agitprop like this...?
+Putting Jesus First some people just are no matter their choice beliefs or lack thereof. some people just need to work on their issues or something lol i am one and am laid back. love Sorbo
i do not believe in a god, but i have seen angry atheists and christians alike. i could care less if people put up their candles, wear their beanies, put up managers and wear crosses. your right and your choice and our country!
What he says is true though. Every time I see or hear someone else praise his deity in public, he always gets laughed at or shamed. Just let them have their way, for goodness sakes!
He nails the typical nasty person very well, especially ones that get into important positions, like in the work place. There are lots of these people floating about thinking they are little gods to themselves.
Hollow Shell Vampires aren't depicted throughout history as the Creators of all that is or came into being. Don't belittle anyone with such triviality, but good luck with the correlation. Making an arguement doesn't mean being condescending. It's classless actually.
This guy is quite the actor. He played a atheist amazingly. I love the movie God’s Not Dead. I just watched it on Netflix and I will never get tired of it. Such a good movie. I even love the song God’s Not Dead by NewsBoys. ❤️🙏🏽
He really didn't though. I mean, he even admits in the movie at the end that he was never actually an atheist but was just mad at God. I don't know a single atheist who acts or behaves even remotely like this guy did or who believes the stuff he said in the movie. God's Not Dead paints atheists as mean, bitter, hateful people who are angry at God. And honestly, I'm sad how many people think it's accurate. It's because of movies like this and the way they negatively depict us that there's so much unwarranted dislike, distrust, and denigration of atheists here in the Bible belt of the US. We're literally just people who care about the truth and aren't convinced by the arguments for God. That's all. When I was a Christian, I hated the way Hollywood stereotyped Christians. Now, as an atheist, it goes the other way. My recommendation is to go out and meet atheists and talk with non-believers to get a better feel for what they're really like. It's what Jesus did after all. You might be surprised to find how many of us are good, honest, caring people, just like you. :)
I have zero faith, but Kevin Sorbo is a great actor, loved him in Hercules and Xena, and wish him the best in the rest of his life. The gods were definitely smiling upon him with his medical stuff while Hercules.
I don't know who you are just know that I love you and I'm praying for you and above all Jesus Christ our savior loves you and has a purpose for your life. Repent from your sins and say yes to Jesus.
I remember, while I studied in the univesity when my ethics professor told me that we are going to pass with "A" if we say that God doesn't exist..... #Objection! It didn't happen!
Good job standing up for God. People are certainly entitled to their opinion, but when they grade you based on your belief that's discrimination. If a Christian demanded someone say that God exists they'd get fired, very hypocritical.
Sean Peters ... Again, God's not dead ISN'T based in reality! A you correctly point out, a professor CAN'T give you an F for not believing in God! He/she must follow a syllabus and must test the students accordingly! In philosophy, God existence, as part of the syllabus, is questioned! Ancient scholars give their arguments pro and against God and the student must understand both sides and make his/her own mind! I didn't study philosophy in university, but this is a well known fact! I studied it in high school and it was a waste of time!
+Hedley Quintana, thank you. God's Not Dead has other problems too (e.g. millions of years), and I would not recommend the movie to non-believers. However, I really enjoyed the movie. It was encouraging to see how Josh stood up for his faith regardless of others trying to convince him to take the easy way out (similar to what you did). I would only recommend this movie to Christians who recognize the movie's flaws.
@@Eisenbison Exactly. It's so sad when people call it "The best movie ever". If we disregard the plot and religion, the movie itself, as a movie, is just garbage. An utter insult to all movie makers out there. It's one sided, badly written, poorly directed, simplistic and cringey, horribly acted and virtue signaling.
Amen and amen 🙏; I'm taking prayer requests for anyone that needs it and if you could please pray for my whole family's health and then for my father, uncle, sister. And both grandpa's getting to know christ; thanks and God bless you all reading this.
Nick Gagnon - Well, I’ll admit that some of the acting wasn’t that great in my opinion and I felt as though there were many plot holes as well. And the ending felt “unfinished” and abrupt. But Kevin did an amazing acting job, and the message behind the movie was great too. Sure, it wasn’t executed perfectly, but I enjoyed the message of the film.
Well, that is an 8nflated statistic, considering most don't live out Christian lives. Even right winged pentecostals haven't lived out the Scripture and stabbed me in the back.
I wish Christians would actually try to understand what Nietzsche meant when he said "God is dead" Nietzsche was a very outspoken critic of religion, but he also saw the necessity for it. and I hate the way Christian movies depict atheists. As a believer, I don't really care to watch any of these movies. They are propaganda.
Love the interesting comments. No one attacks other beliefs/religions like "Christianity" because they are just that.....beliefs and religions. Jesus is truth and thats what people cannot handle. Because true love doesnt make sense and they cannot understand it with their rational mind
I find it funny that he feels Hollywood discriminates; something tells me when he was getting roles, he was not into religion, and it was funny what put him on the map was a pagan hero.
Well guys? what does it hurt you?? to say, "God if you are real?? I accept your son Jesus as my savior...please give me wisdom and understanding and guidance. Let me know you" what does that hurt....if I am wrong...nothing.....what does it do? if that is right???
It doesn't hurt. Not on short term at least. But it doesn't work for everybody. And the other thing you said is called a "Pascal's Wager". If you believe in God, you lose nothing if you're wrong and win everything if you're right. The problem with this is that it presumes that there are only two options, while in reality, there are Infinite options if you're gonna play the "What if you're wrong?" card. What if _you're_ wrong? What if you picked the wrong god, and you're making him angrier and angrier every time you go to church?
With all due respect to all Atheists. The Devil cannot make hell look beautiful but he can make the road to hell beautiful. God is love and forgiveness.
An atheist is someone who the Bible calls a "Fool" The fact is all atheist are not alike. Jesus Christ died for every person and it is each person choice whether they accept Jesus Christ. Hell is a lonely place of fire and torment. Truly I feel sorry for all atheists
Keven Sorbo, a self proclaimed Christian and actor, was doing parts as a hero, conqueror and demi-god. These parts he played were pure fantasy. However, these "stories" often affirm Atheism and promote Mysticism to the viewers. When Sorbo was struck with "illness" he had personal faith in the True God who Created mankind. The Lord answered his faith and helped him catapult his career to glorify God.
The anger comes from the actions of the religious not just the religion itself. I could care less about your worldview I only care about what you do. Abortion for example was made illegal by 12 Christian men because of said belief. Laws (forced way of life) based on religion makes me angry not what you believe.
Wow!!!! Do people just go around looking for videos and views they do not agree with to voice their angry and ignorant opinions? Where are your arguments against God then if you do not believe? All you are doing is dogging someone...talk about intelligent. There is good and bad of everyone and yes, some Christians do not represent their beliefs well. I love Kevin. If you do not like what someone is saying, why are you watching it? Go find something else, you are just looking for something to argue about.
Yeah you're defenetly right about that if someone doesn't like an actor's opinion why would he watch him and examine his thoughts or point of views if you don't like something then it will be a lot easier if you don't watch it
+Nancy Schneider New Atheism. New Atheists believe that have some sort of "duty" to hunt down PDRs (public displays of religion) and to mock, belittle, and dehumanize those who dare to make that PDR. It's severely fascist, but they don't think so; they think they're doing a civil service to humanity.
I don't understand it either. It's as if there are people who go looking for things or subjects to be vicious and vocally violent about. But it really is an outward demonstration of how they feel about themselves. It's just a projection, it relieves internal stress (releases oxytocin, endorphins, dopamine so they are actually detoxing up here. They go away as if they just had a good BM from the loo. That's what they are doing. It serves ONLY themselves - to make themselves lighter and less toxic. It isn't even about some person theyve never met it simply a catalyst for their "moment" to trigger a healing.🙏❤️
The gospel changes you forever, and while the body of Christ and the Church lifts people up, those who don't believe can pull others down. Ultimately all humans want to believe in something larger than themselves. The key difference is that without Christ as a person's center, they become their own God, driven by the fallen nature of man. I believe that by living a life as a reflection of God's love and Christ's sacrifice, that we can reach those who are covered in darkness. :)
I did not like this movie. Not because of Kevin’s acting or anything, just because of the way atheists are portrayed and the victim hood mentality of the Christians in it. If this happened in real life and that guy felt his religious beliefs were being attacked by his professor he could have reported him because the professor is not allowed to do that.
I think the movie plot only offers one truth, that Christian film industry in not willing to talk be honest with atheist characters. I had people from both sides in my life, and I can only remember Christians asking for my personal beliefs and offering me an introduction to Jesus Christ. Maybe a few Muslims on the street too. Atheism grew within me, on my own thoughts, I realized that neither prayer nor hard work means success, and that being faithful to some idea or person does not guarantee reward. I saw Christians in name flouting their vows as soon as they became an obstacle....and fellow Christians look the other way when elite Christian break the tenets of their faith while they punish lower ranking member of their respective societies when they mess up. This is not for me, I do not suport such bigotry and I don't want to waste effort or energy trying to break ice with such people or maintain any form of friendship. Societies so much bent on exploiting the lower class deserve to fall apart. And I do not act to prevent that. If we want to form communities please do not keep people together by enforcing and encouraging pretentious beliefs that one hand dont make sense and the other hand are based on things we can never prove or disprove.

Then I saw Jesus's hand save me. God is sooo powerful, we have no clue. Satan cowered away and ran, AND I MEAN RAN away from Jesus in my dream. The king James version is over 400 years old, hence why it's the best bible. Goodluck and Godbless.
God is not dead? I suppose that is technically true. Also not dead are: Tony Stark (Ironman), Natasha Romanoff ( Black Widow), Darth Vader, Obi Wan Kenobi, Gollum/Smeagol Since no evidence has been shown for the existence of god, there is no reason to believe god exists, so no reason to believe god is dead or alive.
How can atheists be angry? Pales in comparison to the religious right’s anger over very small stepping on toes...if atheism is based on nothing, why are you so angry?
@la belle province he said yes to play a role to make a bad name on atheists by represent them as theist-anti-theists. We dont hate god because we dont believe in him. @@dannac_8888 O boy You know people go see horror films to get scared, right? Not to sympathize with the villains. You don't have to be such a prude, getting offended by uncomfortable themes. It's not evil, it's just a shock factor. It makes money. Either way, art is supposed to move us, emotionally and mentally. It's supposed to make us dig deep into parts of ourselves that we don't know of, or perhaps are too affraid to visit. That's what makes it beautiful. This can be done with many genres in many ways. Horror is just one of them.
In a nearly infinite multiverse over a nearly infinite amount of time not only is almost anything possible but most likely happens over and over and over. Read up on super string/gravity M-theory for a more detailed explanation. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M-theory_(simplified_explanation) But I'm pretty sure we aren't in a Yahweh created 6000 year old universe. Most of the empirical evidence is against it. Every time you make a choice or imagine anything you create at least two potential universes. YOU ARE GOD! Therefore atheists have low self-esteem. Imagine not believing in yourself?
Moldred T. Malcontent I've heard some pretty bad and desperate arguments against atheism before, but this one takes the cake. In a multiverse model, we are _not_ creating new universes, these universes would exist regardless of whether or not we imagined them; they would exist even without us existing. What you're proposing isn't only scientific woo, it's also an equivocation fallacy. In the terms you are presenting, we would not be gods by any sense of the word. We would not be omniscient, we would not be omnipresent, and we would not be omnipotent. So across the mess that is this argument, to thereby conclude that atheists have low self-esteem is beyond ridiculous. You seem open minded enough to understand that religion is most likely a man made product, so you won't have to look far to see a Yahweh praising Christian who believes they are nothing in the eyes of the lord, who believes they are unworthy, who believes they are sick and sinful from birth, and who believes nothing is possible without their god. That, is the peak of low self-esteem. Atheists on the other hand, do believe in themselves; they do believe in humanity. There are no higher powers, just us, with our finite lives, which makes life so precious, and which makes it so important to treat others with love and kindness.
AlexGT230 I was kidding about the Atheist low self esteem thing sorry should have put a emoji after it. But I'm still of the opinion that when you imagine anything you create at least 2 POTENTIAL universes in which that idea and it's opposite could exist. Again for the billionth time..... There wasn't just one big bang. There were billions of them Our universe is the result of one of them that worked. The universe contains billions of proto stars, The ones that work out become stars the universe has billions of stars. The ones that form a certain way have planets There are billions of planets orbiting billions of stars. the ones that form a certain way at the right distance from their star become earth-like planets There are billions of earth-like planets the ones that have the right elements have life evolve on them. There are billions of life sustaining planets the ones with the right balance of conditions evolve intelligent life that wonders about stuff like this. If all the conditions fail to come together at any point along the way : Bang too big or not big enough proto stars too dispersed Planets too big small hot cold far away from or too close to sun The right primordial slop never forms or contains a fatal flaw or forms in the wrong place or gets zapped by lava or.... The environment is too lush to challenge the life forms to evolve or too sparse to sustain life for long enough. Or one of many inevitable mass extinctions went all the way and wiped everything out. then those places cease to exist or fall by the way side In a nearly infinite multiverse over a nearly infinite amount of time not only is almost anything possible but most likely happens over and over and over. 99+% of all all the gods ever conceived were not thought of to be omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent.Belief is the death of intelligence. If one believes any sort of doctrine or assumes certitude, one stops thinking about that aspect of existence. If people are certain they understand our situation here on this planet, it is because they have accepted a religious Faith or a secular Ideology (the modern form of Faiths) and just stopped thinking. Regard belief as a form of brain damage, the fracture of creativity, the atrophy of imagination. Have opinions but no Belief System (B.S.) HAIL ERIS! ALL HAIL DISCORDIA!
Moldred T. Malcontent No worries. I've just heard so many bad arguments against atheism that I can't differentiate between which ones are jokes and which ones aren't anymore. They've just started to blend together at this point. While I don't find there to be sufficient evidence in support of the idea that we create _potential_ universes when we imagine them (at best I'd say we discover the possibility of these two potential universes existing in the multiverse), I would agree with the rest of what you said, especially in regards to religious faith and belief systems.

He made an excellent point in this...If God is not real then why are atheist so angry all the time? Because God's not dead...HE'S ALIVE!
there is no creator/god by what you just said I can infer that you only believe in god because it gives you hope you should read a science textbook or at least look into it and actually think about it

+Para Handy you believe such common misconceptions about athiests we are not generally angry people and there is no evidence that our existence is caused by a creator to even think that us just foolish but you know what the evidence does point to? evolution. if you would actually tried to learn about it and dismiss you religion for even just a little bit you too would see
+Para Handy my very existence is not evidence for there being a creator thats like saying our existence is proof of evolution it's an unsatisfactory answer that can go both ways. an intelligent designer would at least try to make a perfect creation which we are not
Great job Kevin, I know what he means when he says atheists are always so angry

Vampires aren't depicted throughout history as the Creators of all that is or came into being. Don't belittle anyone with such triviality, but good luck with the correlation. Making an arguement doesn't mean being condescending. It's classless actually.

Loved the movie!! thanks...
But Hercules is the son of Zeus, how could he be an atheist??
😂
Keep the faith Kevin.
Thank you for encouraging him in his faith.
God's NOT dead ❤️❤️
Kevin Sorbo is an amazing Actor and seems to be off set as well.
@@seanpeters3690 You don't realize that this entire movie is just propaganda and paints a strawman of atheists.

Exactly. It's so sad when people call it "The best movie ever". If we disregard the plot and religion, the movie itself, as a movie, is just garbage. An utter insult to all movie makers out there. It's one sided, badly written, poorly directed, simplistic and cringey, horribly acted and virtue signaling.

kevin sorbo did amazing in that film.
Nick Gagnon it's teaches.a great lesson to atheism I thought it was great
@@williamgaines4766 what lesson for atheism?
Nick Gagnon - Well, I’ll admit that some of the acting wasn’t that great in my opinion and I felt as though there were many plot holes as well. And the ending felt “unfinished” and abrupt. But Kevin did an amazing acting job, and the message behind the movie was great too. Sure, it wasn’t executed perfectly, but I enjoyed the message of the film.

No one attacks other religions on video about christianity? I wonder why...
Shea Doherty. I don't understand. You say other religions about christianity?

It doesn't hurt. Not on short term at least. But it doesn't work for everybody.
And the other thing you said is called a "Pascal's Wager". If you believe in God, you lose nothing if you're wrong and win everything if you're right. The problem with this is that it presumes that there are only two options, while in reality, there are Infinite options if you're gonna play the "What if you're wrong?" card.
What if _you're_ wrong? What if you picked the wrong god, and you're making him angrier and angrier every time you go to church?
anyone else find it weird such an outspoken Christians biggest role was one of the most famous characters in pre-Christian mythology?
@la belle province well a good chunk of the new testament was written in Greek and borrows language from Greek mythology.
Here is one thing I can say Fred God is truth
What's a Fred God?
With all due respect to all Atheists. The Devil cannot make hell look beautiful but he can make the road to hell beautiful. God is love and forgiveness.
I loved God's not dead. Kevin Sorboro is an convincing atheist. Jesus Christ is Lord and the Bible is forever, amen
He’s a very unconvincing strawman of what the writers _think_ an atheist is.
An atheist is someone who the Bible calls a "Fool" The fact is all atheist are not alike. Jesus Christ died for every person and it is each person choice whether they accept Jesus Christ. Hell is a lonely place of fire and torment. Truly I feel sorry for all atheists
Ayyy Minnesota!
She loves him
The 'Angry Atheist' trope. Haha. I wonder if people are surprised when they meet a nice atheist. Maybe even DISAPPOINTED!!!!
The same what i say. And there are indeed some atheists around who say they are Not Angry

It was wonderful, powerful and just plain Miraculous what I saw in my dream. I'll be here all night if I try and explain my dream, but in short Jesus concurred satan, as satan was trying to either possess my soul or kill me in my sleep , I'm not sure. Then I saw Jesus's hand save me. God is sooo powerful, we have no clue. Satan cowered away and ran, AND I MEAN RAN away from Jesus in my dream. I then asked Him if I could just understand His power as percentage.. I asked for 1% power, next I saw myself holding earth with ease... Before all these visions and dreams I was bloodwashed. (nothing to do with blood or any acts etc.) This is like baptised. you repent all of your sins in a person who is close to God, and together you ask for forgiveness. And shortly after that I had plenty of dreams. I know in my heart HE exists, because I asked a few years ago for forgiveness for things I have done. And I really meant it. With all my heart. And guess what. God forgave me and I could feel that burden being lift off my shoulders. He says in the bible multiple times to seek Him. I urge you to get a King James bible and look this up. Jeremiah 29:12-14. King James bible is the correct bible ,before the whole church started fiddling with the bibles and putting their own words and meanings and multiple versions of the bible out in the world. The king James version is over 400 years old, hence why it's the best bible. Goodluck and Godbless.

You know people go see horror films to get scared, right? Not to sympathize with the villains. You don't have to be such a prude, getting offended by uncomfortable themes. It's not evil, it's just a shock factor. It makes money.
Either way, art is supposed to move us, emotionally and mentally. It's supposed to make us dig deep into parts of ourselves that we don't know of, or perhaps are too affraid to visit. That's what makes it beautiful. This can be done with many genres in many ways. Horror is just one of them.
God's not dead because God may not exist LOLOL

AlexGT230
I was kidding about the Atheist low self esteem thing sorry should have put a emoji after it. But I'm still of the opinion that when you imagine anything you create at least 2 POTENTIAL universes in which that idea and it's opposite could exist. Again for the billionth time.....
There wasn't just one big bang.
There were billions of them
Our universe is the result of one of them that worked.
The universe contains billions of proto stars,
The ones that work out become stars
the universe has billions of stars.
The ones that form a certain way have planets
There are billions of planets orbiting billions of stars.
the ones that form a certain way at the right distance from their star become earth-like planets
There are billions of earth-like planets the ones that have the right elements have life evolve on them.
There are billions of life sustaining planets the ones with the right balance of conditions evolve intelligent life that wonders about stuff like this.
If all the conditions fail to come together at any point along the way :
Bang too big or not big enough
proto stars too dispersed
Planets too big small hot cold far away from or too close to sun
The right primordial slop never forms or contains a fatal flaw or forms in the wrong place or gets zapped by lava or....
The environment is too lush to challenge the life forms to evolve or too sparse to sustain life for long enough. Or one of many inevitable mass extinctions went all the way and wiped everything out.
then those places cease to exist or fall by the way side
In a nearly infinite multiverse over a nearly infinite amount of time not only is almost anything possible but most likely happens over and over and over. Have opinions but no Belief System (B.S.)
HAIL ERIS!
