Urdu Academy to Perform
BANGALORE: Much awaited complete bench of office bearers meet with an action plan for the year 2024-25 with unanimity of all members to take it forward after a lull of silence for over five months after its formation and decided to perform within its limited means available.
The action plan has host of activities planned to promote Urdu under various forays. The academy is a big bandwagon with 13 members in its governing council headed by a known scholar Mohammed Ali Qazi as its Chairman and a native of Hubli with a vast exposure in Europe in promoting Urdu Culture.
The governing body decided to promote Urdu through various mediums of Urdu culture in elevating its status through literature, poetry, qawali, ghazals from basics to its niche legacy as it had enjoyed its rich legacy.
The governing body examined its performance in the last five months and decided to carry forward all the constructive activities with more teeth to perform in close knitted coordination with its members with regional and local bodies.
Chairman expressed concern with limited budget allocation and expressed his ability to perform within budget constraints with a hope of extended budget allocations in future to carry forward Urdu welfare measures ahead.
