- I used MACHINE LEARNING and MATH to analyse the SYNCHRONIZATION LEVELS of Kpop's top boy groups including BTS, EXO, SHINee, GOT7, NCT, SEVENTEEN, MONSTA X and more. No bias, no prejudice - just pure math.
The results are purely based on the computer's strict calculations. No one is obliged to agree with its results. All groups mentioned in this video are highly talented in their own ways, and I have much respect for their hard work and dedication.

1. Apologies for missing out INFINITE (my bad oops). Will do a part 2 for boy groups including INFINITE, ASTRO, iKON, etc. Welcome any suggestions :)
2. Synchronisation/consistency is only ONE aspect of dance skill. Please do not use this video to badmouth any of the mentioned groups. Dance is ultimately a subjective field, and it is highly unlikely that machines will ever get to analyse dance in the FULLEST form.
3. For EXO, I am aware of clean OT8 dance pracs like The Eve, Ooh La La and Electric Kiss. However, for consistency I have stuck to OT9 since I analysed the full lineup for Stray Kids, MonstaX and SHINee. Unfortunately OT9 don't have many clean samples (the Monster dance prac had too many close up moving shots). But I'm happy to do a OT8 analysis if EXO-Ls don't mind :)

A lot of people says that Seventeen only look synchronized cuz they have so many members. But they don't know that, more people = more difficulty. They really practice a lot, Hoshi always corrects them on they posture, and Minghao (as we saw on Idol Produce with him as a mentor) pay a lot of attention to the details too. Their key is to move as one, and we can clearly see that they really work super hard to do that

Thanks for laying this out so easily. Just to address the Exo comment though - 3 of them are doing their compulsory military service (DO, Minseok, and Suho) and Lay is still being held captive by the Chinese governtment (I kid, but relations between S Korea and China have been bad for years and I have heard that he isn't allowed to leave the country). I would love to see my OT9 back together again but with so many reaching miliatry age, that's not likely to happen for a long time.

This is why kpop groups stand out in comparison to any other industry. They make western performances look boring.

I'm merely stating why kpop stands out and why it's very unique, both choreography and music wise - as well as their comeback concepts. Meanwhile, me, thinking western acts feel boring at times is purely my opinion. Anybody else don't have to feel the same way.

And considering how TBZ has 11 (previously 12) members and SKZ has 8 (previously 9), it's impressive that they manage to have eye catching choreography and still stay in sync. Plus both groups focus on the visual and storytelling aspect of their choreography more than synchronization. And according to this video, SKZ are right behind TXT in synchronization

For TXT: It doesn't surprise me too much that a Rookie group would be up here considering they have to try harder to get and maintain a fanbase (also under Bighit so.. makes sense. lol).
For some older groups: When groups get older (usually in their 6th/7th year), they have a steady fanbase and the effort doesn't need to be as strict or severe. This is better for their bodies and stress too. They can just enjoy it more.

Just imagine 13 people being 95% synchronised. Like not all of them are in the performance team. Some in vocal. Some in hip hop. Not all of them received the same amount of training. Some spent more time, and some spent less time. Not all of them could understand choreography as fast. Some slower and some faster. When you factor in all these variables and more, you really realise how much hard work they must have put in to achieve that level. This is really what teamwork is. You don’t just push yourself up and make yourself stand out and be the best. You pull the others up too.
