- 52Pi 3D printed ice tower cooler case Kit. Raspberry Pi 3B+, Pi 4B.
##Update I have already removed the fan. Its not noisy, but I really like silent cooling. The ice tower cooler does an amazing job even without the fan.

Just wanted to shout out a comment...
Thanks for this video.
I just built the mini tower myself today, plugged it all in and thought the OLED was faulty.
Great little bit of kit, but the instructions ain't that great, so I'm so pleased you made this content, and I happen to stubble upon it... Nice one 👍
Thanks for the video. 👍
ICE Tower case is very good and cool! 👌🏻👍🏻😁🥰
Nice. The Geekworm Raspberry Pi 4 X857 case + M.2 extension board + power management board + 2x 18650 battery holder + 2x internal fans seems to me very worth having a look at, as it is one the most simple and compact system for both plugged-in and on-battery use cases.
Thanks for sharing !
Great looking case. Thanks as always pointing to solutions for installing hardware and software. M
cool case. I did see a raspberry pi case with front mounted fans and that looked like a miniature gaming rig
I was just thinking to print one by myself, probably with a bigger RGB fan, even if with that cooler there are no problems even without fan, as you say in your update. looks really nice adn efficient
The developer of this case was inspired by Michael Klemens.
Great video
This is way “cooler” than any case I’ve seen
Nice video, keep it up, thanks :)
I watched the video of it being made and commented the the screen should've been on the other end to make look like a proper mini tower PC
I got a case almost like this one but mine is from The DIY Life. I love his case and I can't say enough about it. I already had some of the Ice Tower LED fans for other projects. I added a 2nd fan, one on the cooler it self and on the side panel. I turned the cooler around so it's a push/pull setup... I never see above 43C in this case and that's clocked to 2300 MHz. I highly recommend this case. Here is a video on his. Just search for Raspberry Pi 4 SSD Case With Stats Display!
Yeah, I printed the case from Michael Klements as well. It's a fantastic design and he's done a few different versions. This is, undeniably a rip off from Michael's design with a few simple modifications. Not sure how I feel about this. It's certainly not original.
Same here. I am using same setup exactly like you with 2 fans. And I bought the model from DIY Life and printed and laser cut it.
That design is authentic, this design from 52pi is just copy with some modification of Michael's design.
you probably know this by now considering this video is a few months old now but the usermod command just adds the pi user to the groups to allow the user to access the i2c, spi and gpio without needing to be root (or use sudo)
if you want a silent pi, get the geeekpi 40x40x10 pwm fan that only turns on at 60c
it is pretty quiet, the lights are pretty "loud" if you catch my drift
Hi there is a version for Buster, i'm using it on my 64bit PI, same site 'connect-and-program-an-oled-stats-display-for-your-raspberry-pi' uses the same display etc but the software is different from the Bullseye version
Think you might have the acrylic panel on the gpio side back to front. Holes do not like up.
You are correct, thanks I hadn’t noticed. At least it’s easy to flip round. 👍🏻
if you are going to use a tower cooler on a pi, the temperature should be the last thing you should be checking in it
Yeah, that thing is super chilly, very effective.
deffo a mod of Michael Klements case(s), the only real change being where the lcd display is positioned, dont really get why they angled it but shrug.
i dont think the adafruit and the sp2p lcd codes are interchangeable i tried both only adafruit worked for me
Dude if you rig it up to the 3v pins the ice tower is practically silent anyway because the 5v does tend to hum
looks like a twin of
Michael Klements DIY case lol but great vid
They definitely “borrowed” his design.
That's what I was thinking.
The NAS one looks identical.
I've purchased one set of files from Michael before, don't recall if the license allows resale of the 3D printed cases.
I did not see any mention to the author of the case or link to his original post describing how he created this case and instructions on how to set it up.
I have a problem with the fan lights not coming on. Do I need a script forthem to work

I’m trying to find this case for my pi 3b+ but having a hard time finding
I just got this case today. the RGB is giving me a headache. would simply severing the cable connected to GPIO 18 turn off the lights without breaking the fan functionality? i'm not using the LED etc, I just got this case for the cooling capabilities.
Have you found a solution to this? I also hate the LEDs.
Is there any problem if you only use the ice tower cooler without the fan? even if you overclock the Pi?
I have used one Overclock for some time even at 2300.

For better cooling you could remove the sides. I have already removed the fan but not the panels.
maybe a tiny bit too expensive, does look decent tho for that money better investment would be a desalvo case
I don't suppose you could tell me where you got the sticky tape from? and How would you go about installing both Fans? Mine has came with two fans so I thought I could install them both... any advice?
The double sided tape was supplied in the box.
In such a small case 2 fans are unnecessary. I also would use the lower powered 3.3V connection as it’s quieter.
@@leepspvideohow do you install two fans
@@209julian I haven’t tried

Am i missing something, I cannot see the link to the USB Key unit you used for a carrier of the SD card, or maybe don't know the name in your listing?

@@leepspvideo Thank You Sir! Will have a look here across the pond!
Do you have any videos on the rpi3b+? I'm trying to install a DE on the server version of ubuntu 20.04.5 32bit but when I reboot it it doesn't do anything? Nothing on the display. That activity light blinks intermittently like it's doing something but it's not showing up on the display. I'm getting aggravated and don't know what to do next. Is there a way to do a factory reset like the later ones?

Why not just reinstall the os to the sd card or usb device?
@@leepspvideo That's what I've been doing. Is reinstall it but I was trying to do it with Martin Wimpress's desktopify even though it's discontinued it still works with Ubuntu 20.04.5 and below but when I go to reboot it after the installation it fails to but into the new DE.
Can use rpi camera with this case? Any idea?
It doesn’t have a spot for it
I bought it and the cable can go through hole for usb
those Euro plugs can be used as weapons...lol

Nice case, but not for me
Sadly a rip-off of others creativity. Please don't buy this and instead buy it from the designer or even download it for free on thingiverse to self print. 52Pi are from a country and society that think nothing of copying everything they can to make a buck.
So tell us who the “designer” is, and link to the original Thingiverse project.
BTW, a case with removable side panels is nothing new…. That idea goes back millennia….
As for computer cases with removable side panels, I saw (and worked with) ones back in the ‘60s.
