DUDE I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS VIDEO AND THE INTERNET DIDN'T GAVE ME UNTIL NOW, I'M SO HAPPY THAT YOU EXIST, PLEASE CONTINUE I BEG YOU THANK U SO MUCH I LOVE YOU
I been watching this kid for a while and I must say, his parents must be proud of him, and besides that I can tell hes going to go somewhere special with his life. Really cool to see someone this young this smart and passionate about music. Pretty inspirational, keep up the great work my friend you are going to be very successful very very soon.
I just downloaded Cakewalk about a week ago because making beats just sounded like a fun hobby to do in school. I don't have any history in music and was totally lost. I just found this video and it's a life saver! Keep it up!
This video was so helpful. No one makes tutorials on how to actually use cakewalk. I learned most of the basics by myself, but didn't understand some nuances like speeding up audio tracks and using buses. Thank you so much for making this video.
I only do this as a hobby, i find it keeps me sane in an otherwise insane world. I recently decided to settle on using Bandlab gas my DAW and i am a complete amatuer to this all. I found your Part 1 really useful and following your tutorial managed to make a beat (sort of!). I have now subscribed and will watch yur future tutorials with interest. Many thanks for youor assistance it's helped me greatly. I still have loads to learn, but you have made that long journey a little easier!!
Hey man, thank you so much. You have a great way of explaining things and taking time with each shortcut/hotkey/mouse move. Your teaching is exactly the style I need to pick up.
It is nice to find someone else with content for Cakewalk. Great creative stuff. So many helpful hints. I subscribe, and now move to part two. Love your excitement.
Not only do we learn how to use cakewalk but to make melodies too! Yo this is so useful, I could swap over but I'm too used to fl studio. That melody was fire tho, great video man!
Set up a home studio with Cakewalk Sonar only a few days ago and making progress already thanks to your great tutorial videos. Keep up the good work: it's much appreciated!
I'm a flat out beginner, happy to be learning, enjoying being a Noob because I enjoy learning. Your teaching style is fast, consise, easy to understand and you give your students results that feel tangable quickly. Thank you, great style, this is what I needed to get into Cakewalk.
@@VictorRuan285 Alas no, passions have moved on elsewhere, but it was still fantastic to engage with Cakewalk and learn from Bogonzo. Music has taken a back seat to writing. And yourself..?
Im a musician and just started yesterday with cakewalk and I need some video like this, this DAW is perfect for home producing but is sooooo big lol... Ty m8, new sub
I tried it a year ago and got overwhelmed, on top of having tons of issues getting my used Focusrite to work with the computer. Finally gave up and didn’t try again until recently. Now I’m taking it slow and just focusing on recording drum and keyboard VST’s. THEN I’ll try with interface to record guitar, bass, and vocals.
i have a little problem with mine. when i open cakewalk it doesnt let me hear my tracks and ive tried putting all of the inputs and outputs in the preferences and nothing happens
I have been watching your videos, i like what you are doing but can you please slow down coz you are too fast for me. im trying to learn how to use this cakewalk and follow what you are doing but get lost because you are fast. you are doing a great job please understand some us are old dogs trying to learn new tricks, so please try to slow down so we can keep up.. thanks
do u have any idea why i dont hear the piano when i play it but if i play any another record i can hear it and i can even hear my voice too when i play it after i recorded it
Do you NEED a midi keyboard to work the vst's in Cakewalk?? I cant seem to get it to work (previewing sounds before i put them into the DAW- no sounds is coming out)n >:( if so what budget midi would you recommend amazon reciews are all over the place..
when am in the piano roll view am only seein the piano roll keys only.its not the same as your where u can see the play button etc am only see the piano only
My dumbhead just wants to know like what do I do if I want the melody to build up gradually and add the different elements one by one instead of adding everything together
Well, If you copy things next to each other, you can have the same loop of things playing over and over. Then take out a lot of things at the beginning and keep taking out fewer things every loop until you have lots of elements in at the end. You can also automated the volume of tracks so that they fade in instead of just start playing.
so i downloaded my plugins and did this all step by step. my program says that i have a bunch of new plugins, but when i go to use them, they just arent there. anybody have any ideas?
Hit b on your keyboard to see the right pannel there is a plug-ins tabs if you mess around there. I can't explain it right now but watch how I drag plugins in my videos
No, adsr just does that. I have had so many people complain and I have too. I had it start crashing about one month into using it and then I was recommending people to stop using it. I quickly had a handful of other discord members tell me it crashed for them too.
Bongonzo great. You have the best tutorials i found so far. Thx. Also your beats are fire and i wish u grow soon. Youre one of the reasons, ill start to use cakewalk.
what do you mean? I listened to the loop in the midi view and then changed views to the layout view (which is "d" on your keyboard) then I transposed but I showed you how to transpose
DO NOT DOWNLOAD XPAND2 PLUGIN FOR A FREE TRIAL IT CHANGES YOUR FILES AND MESSES UP YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM BOOT, luckily i did a system retore and backdate it a couple of hours!

Too fast for me, but that’s what the rewind button is for! Great video! Smart guy too!
@@J_Trask yep and reducing playback speed helps, I like 25% reduction.

What do I need to do if I hear no sounds.
check you are using the right drivers, and that your master track is properly running to your speakers.
How do i get VSTs?

I did thanks 👌
Bongonzo great. You have the best tutorials i found so far. Thx. Also your beats are fire and i wish u grow soon. Youre one of the reasons, ill start to use cakewalk.
Why can`t I open the piano roll?
make sure you have a midi track selected and hit alt + 3
Pretty good, you skipped a huge step at 7:04.
what do you mean? I listened to the loop in the midi view and then changed views to the layout view (which is "d" on your keyboard) then I transposed but I showed you how to transpose
Not sure why, at this part if I hover over process and try to transpose it is greyed out
I love you.
