- How to create a new project in Cakewalk by Bandlab, add a drum track using the step sequencer, add a midi bass guitar track using the piano scroll View, record a virtual instrument track using a midi keyboard, add a vocal track, save your project and exit Cakewalk.
This is what is called a proper tutorial,step by step and not in super charge mode by whoever is doing the video. Thank you.

Thank you, simple enough to understand directions and also playing to show how each part works. I don't know how many videos I've watched with people just talking about what does what, without actually showing how it works and how you can do it also by playing some notes in real time to give a rough idea of how we would do it also!

Apperently TTS1 is no longer used in latest CW version. Stuck here.

What's the latest version? My version has been updated to 2024.02 (although it may be possible that because tts was already installed from an earlier version, that's why I still have it).

cakewalk TTS-1 isn't available on my plugins. Do you know why?

Click on Insert (at the top of the screen), click on Soft Synth on the popup menu, click on General Midi on the popup menu, then click on TTS-1.
TTS-1 is a DX plugin, not a VST, so if you still can't find it, check the C:\program files\cakewalk\shared dxi folder and make sure the TTS-1.dll file is there.
I hope this works, I am so ready to ditch band lab because I can’t figure it out

If cakewalk tts-1 is not there, make sure tts-1.dll is in c:\windows\program files\cakewalk\shared dxi\tts-1

If you open the File Browser and double click on your C drive, you should be able to type tts into the search box near the top right of the File Browser window that should now say Search (C:), in case there is an install bug and it has been installed in the wrong directory.

Scratch that... It appears it has been removed from the latest version of Cakewalk.
Hi, Cakewalk Start Screen "New Project. When I click on New Project it is all blank.

If the start screen New Project page is blank, the project templates might be missing (C:\cakewalk content\cakewalk core\project templates\).
Otherwise, check the about screen to confirm it is Activated, Legal and Version 2023.09 (click on Help, then click on About Cakewalk).

@IbandUK Yes, I do see all the templates there. Do I need to copy them somewhere? Also, in the About Cakewalk screen, it says Legal, version 2023-09 It says 29.9.0.75 is the latest version.
B I N G O! I went to Preferences, Folder Locations, then changed Templates to the file path you gave me and badda-boom! Its all there in New Project. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

BandLab removed TTS-1 from the app download back in February, so there will be no General Midi folder for anyone who downloads cakewalk app now
why is there no sound when i play the drum?
