What is it about watching and listening to one of these old Lister engines running that is SO mesmerizing? Kind of like viewing a crackling fireplace. Our ancestors certainly knew how to design and build items that last. Something that our throw-away society of today could learn from. Thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks for sharing. Gorgeous finishes--from inside the water reservoir to the cart wheels. Brasses are SO nice. I really appreciate your showing how to crank it and the shut it down. I attended the Tennessee Kentucky Threshermen Show forty years ago and found these machines fascinating. Very pleased to see your example and interest in it.
Another great video Chris. Reminders me of the Lister we had in our fishing cobble on the River Tay.. proper fishing with nets… luckily never suffered and dislocated/broken thumbs..
There’s only the transfer on the side to say the water level some engines are missing it I add the 4 star replacement never had a problem thanks for watching 👌🏻
