I have to say that the most exciting part of this video is NOT the potential for a nice free stuffer. it is the fact that there is going to be another marinski march! Last year i tried very hard to duplicate it at home. i did make all of the sausages from last year but because of smoker limitations I was unable to accomplish it within a month. I am VERY excited to give it another try this March! THank you Duncan for doing it again!!
My first stuffer was like this one. I liked having the two gears for two speeds. It worked well. But when the seal started to wear out I couldn't get a replacement one even though the manuf. was here in the US (as am I). I also had to put some wax paper on top of the meat or it would get in the air release valve and I had trouble cleaning it. The one I have now doesn't have that problem. I also wasn't thrilled with how large the elbow is and how much meat was left. The one I have now is from Meat Your Maker and I really like it. The seal is better so I don't get meat bypassing, the hopper is smaller. The horns are plastic, but I can get metal ones off Amazon. I did get a smaller one for meat sticks and breakfast links.
thank you for you giving us your opinion on what to look for in getting a stuffer. this helps me as i am looking for a stuffer. thank you for all of your videos you make it easy to follow.
I bought next size smaller vevor a month ago.Very similar......yours has a better crank. The vent gets meat in the spring and needs regular cleaning but unscrews easily. Works well..175.00 delivered. Have made 4 or 5 of your recipes....all turned out very well. Your great explanations direction and recipes have been greatly appreciated by this rookie. Thnx kindly Duncan.Adding this to amature cheese making and a little distilling for winter hobbies. I noticed your keg upstairs .Dont recall seeing heating elements in it.
Gotta say that I don't often recommend RUclips videos, but when I do, it's Duncan Henry. I've learned so much from your videos on meat processing. It's easy to follow along and the information is practical and useful. Thanks Duncan. Keep up the great work!
i'm looking to buy a sausage stuffer, I come on youtube to see if there are any reviews, and i see your video- this is everything i could have ever wanted from youtube right at this moment, thanks!
I really appreciate when you talk about ratios. It really heped me with my own recipes and Mom just loves your breakfast sausage recipe. Thank you every much! I've learned a lot from you.
I been doing lots of your recipes and I have had nothing but good results. Watching you has made me the butcher and sauage maker I allways tryed to be.i make home made sausage and Weiners salami ham for my big family. We raise all are on animals and process them for are selfs .so its nice to have a great product when I am finished. And that is thaks to you .thank you .we make about 600 lbs of sausage in fall and yes its difficult with old equipment. But it's fun using the old equipment to. Every time I make sauage I have the grandchild help so they can learn the right way instead of learning the hard way.
I've never done Charcuterie, I'm a foodie living in the Philippines, Mindanao actually, where there has always been a supply chain problem/no ingredients. The Philippines, have lot's of perks, but the local cuisine is not popular with us expats. Guy try to cook, open a resturant or something, but it's had without ingredients. I realized that I had to practically do a fork to deli approach. Building Smoker, got hold of a big commercial stuff, got a refrigerator, freezer, meat slicer, mixer, grinder, even had to build the building and smoker from scratch, it's a big under taking. Thanks for the pointers, hope I can find one of those sausage stuffers. Still need a vacuum sealer. Thanks I couldn't do this without guys like you on RUclips! Nice video straight to the point.
I have been watching your channel for a couple of years now and I want to thank you for all the great advice in sausage making from spices to casings to the equipment used to do the processes. Can’t wait for more videos on sausage making.
That's what I wanted a stuffer next a butcher shop now am in the roll. Thank you Mr Duncan to get me excited about sausages making. I like all you video it a completely easy to understand, thank you I'm looking forward for more videos.
Thanks Duncan. I'm in the market for stuffer for home use and this one looks like it would work great for me. love your channel and your very informative videos.
Great video Duncan. I am very thrilled to learn there will be another Marenski March! I enjoy very much learning about the many different types of sausages. Great stuffer review! Anyone would be lucky to have it. Good looking beard to by the way. Keep the videos coming.
That is a nice looking stuffer.I bought the home sausage book by Marinski after watching the last one. Thanks for all you do and the teaching of sausage making.
I like all your video's. You have some great recipes. I am just getting started making sausage, and have been watching your videos to help me learn. You keep making them and I will keep watching.
Good morning everyone, Duncan thank you for taking the time to make these videos. So I have been making sausage for all the farmers around me as a thanks for letting me use there property for my addiction lol. So I make about 500lbs of many types of sausage just to give away. I don’t mind it because my 15 and 9 yr old boys enjoy making sausage with me. I find that no matter what stuffer I’ve used theirs always meat left at the bottom enough to fill a sandwich bag if not more. But hey we’ll never have a butcher grade stuffer. By the way thank you very much for recommending the Stanley, Adam Marianski book. For me it’s too much math lol again I make large batches of sausage so to get the right amount of ingredients I have to do lots of math.
I'm really hype for Marianski March! Since finding you last year and starting to make sausages for work I bought the book and have been reading through it, lotsnof great information!! Thank you for all of the work you put into such honest and upfront videos. ❤️
We really enjoyed the video and review of the sausage stuffer. I didn’t think about getting one that is stand up to save counter space. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills with us. Great info and channel. - Marty’s Meadow Farm
Just had the pleasure of sampling some of your products this past week! My daughter had her moose processed in your shop! Absolutely loved everything I’ve tried so far! I use your farmer sausage recipe with my wild game, friends and family really enjoy it! Thank you for sharing your recipes and knowledge with us!
Can’t wait for March !!! I have my book and waiting!!! I’ve been looking to get a new stuffer and retire my old stuffer!!! I think it’s done enough work now!
thank you Duncan I get my pig back from the local shop in about a week I plan on making your brat recipe. I hope by the time i have another pig ready I can process it myself. keep up the greay job
I was stuck on venison Kielbasa and Hot sticks. Your Marinski march has me considering new stuff.I will be trying German Weisswurst this weekend. Thanks Duncan!
I have used this stuffer for awhile for our test batches, for the money it works great few things to watch out for the bolts and nuts come lose easily and it leaves about 8oz in the throat, but overall it’s a great little machine, easy to clean and gets the job done.
nice video pointing out what to look for on a stuffer with quite a few options out there,, in the end it will be personal choice of horizontal or vertical .
Found your channel today and i've been Binge Watching.. Planning to make my first batch of sausage this week, I hope! Thanks for the info and looking forward to see what Marinski March is all about!
Just started to get things to make homemade sausage, I just picked up a Lem #12, Big Bite grinder to grind my own meat, and now I need a sausage stuffer, also hyped for the Marianski March!
EXCELLENT VIDEO!!!! I will be using your methods. You are a good teacher. I have viewed several of your videos. I came across your site by accident. now I have subscribed. Keep up the FABULOUS VIDEOS!!! I'll be watching. GOD Bless.
I have that exact same stuffer, used it quite a few years and love it. Still on the original seal too. Somebody's going to get awful lucky winning it. You WILL need a smaller horn to do snack sticks but no big deal.
Hey Duncan sorry that you’ve been sick bud. I have the 3kg version of that stuffer and have made thousands of sausages with no problems. Top tip to take the rubber gasket and air release off the plunger top and clean thoroughly between each fill as they get quite gunked up, especially on finer texture sausage. Kia Ora! Sid
We butcher all our own on our small homestead and this stuffer would be a big help. The 3hp meat grinder we use now is way too fast to keep up with for stuffing casings.
Relative newbie sausage-making enthusiast here. I’ve been using the grinder/stuffer attachment on my Kitchen Aid stand mixer and a dedicated stuffer would speed up the process! I’ve really appreciated your videos. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for giving this review of the stuffer. We look forward to seeing how it performs. We have really enjoyed watching your videos here in Kansas! After watching your Marianski March videos, we had to order the book! It has so many good recipes and lots of great information! We have been experimenting with sausages and look forward to being able to make even more to share with family and friends! Thank you for your videos.
Always look forward to your videos not just for the recipes but for the basic straight forward techniques of the entire process and understanding you present to your viewers. Explaining why you do things a given way goes a long way in viewer retention and how it can be applied in formulating ones own variations and formulation of sausages. Avoiding the pit falls associated in learning a new craft shortens the learning curve immensely and builds confidence. Keep the GREAT VIDEOS coming. PS taste tester available for training.😋
Hi, I've just got a meat grinder. Been looking at sausage stuffers. This model would work perfectly since I'm a lefty. Thank you for all the informative videos.
Thanks for your your instructions in your videos Duncan. Since listening to you and reading the Malinski bros book I've started measuring spices per 1000 g/1 kg. This has really made a great improvement in my sausage making. I really like the section in the book about creating your own recipes, dominant spices, and basic amounts to use per 1000g, it's like suddenly the light bulb went off in my head. I was buying some premixed spices and wasn't all that happy with them. Now mixing my own with my new understanding of the basics I'm loving it. It's also great doing these small 1kg batches to fine tune them the way we like it before making a larger batch. Thanks again Dunkin!
Thank you for reviewing this stuffer. I have been looking for one for a couple months, this looks like the best deal so far. I will be glad to see how it performs this month before buying it.
This is the exact stuffer I'm looking at right now. It Looks really good! I grew up on Boerewors and working in the family butchery! I've since moved to Europe and we really want to make some wors since we're really miss home. Hope it works as good as it looks! Awesome vid!
Thanks Duncan. I’m very dissatisfied with the stuffer I bought from cabela’s. It requires a great amount of force regardless of how much water I add. So, I’m back in the market. Your timing is perfect. I really enjoy your videos and detailed instructions
I just started searching sausage making and your program showed up. I have watched a number of your videos and they have been very informative. I am now trying to figure out what grinder and stuffer to go with. Thanks for the information and I hope I win your stuffer:)
Its been an awesome year of making sausage. All the recipes you have posted work perfectly. As well I bought a scale to measure out all my seasonings and that is the tweak I needed. Keep the videos coming, enjoy them all. Thank you, from BC
Thank you for being so honest and open to the viewers. Your recipes and experiments are attractive! Your videos inspire me to start doing smth similar, but in my native, Ukrainian language. Good luck with your shop, and I will wait for your future experiments!
Never made a sausage but im trying to learn😬. These equipment can be intimidating to an untrained eye. Food shortages is going to get worse and knowing how to do things yourself will save you money. Plus you know what you’re eating since you made it. Your videos are helpful Thank you!
Glad to hear you're testing these Amazon stuffer. We got a similar one but 2.5L. Works great. Great vid. Brought an electric stuffer from e bay (Unbranded). Had to recently modify the plunge plate when the grub screw in the centre failed. Had to get it drilled through and put food grade Stainless bolt all the way through. The bits of meat left after stuffing I use for hamburgers.
enjoying your RUclips channel , making my own with the recipes and your video"s explaining the process in the making ..Thanks . keep up the great work ,
I'm cheap, I admit it. I'll shamelessly throw my hat in the ring for the chance to win a free sausage stuffer. It's the last remaining tool I need to complete my charcuterie kitchen. I almost made the mistake of buying a 5-pound sausage stuffer, but after watching one of your earlier videos I decided to go with a larger version as you suggested. I did purchase a pellet smoker which I love, thanks to another of your videos.
Hey Duncan, haven't run across a video in a while, nice beard! This looks like a Hakka brand. I have a 100 lb. water stuffer that I've had for over 10 years. Most of my batches are 25 lbs. so a lot of clean up and messing with that big stuffer, so I bought this in a 15 lb. capacity. I absolutely love it. Fail proof. Easy clean up. 2 speeds are awesome. I think I paid about $240 for mine. I can stuff alone with it clamped to my table no problem. Hope life is going well.
Hey Dunc! Been deer hunting for a while but with your videos starting finally getting into sausage making with the venison. Hunter salami is next when I get a little time. Excited for that!!
This was helpful! I've been considering getting a grinder and stuffer attachment for the stand mixer to use to make my own liverwurst/liver sausages and boudin, as I have very little kitchen space. Your videos are always informative and just so genuine and fun, I'm only really just a home cook, but food preservation be it making sausages, pickling, lacto-fermenting, making jam, etc, is a hobby of mine. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Nice to hear what you said about this stuffer cause yesterday I received the deer kitchen brand that’s identical to the one you got in size and build. Also very excited to hear another Marinski March is coming
I have to say that the most exciting part of this video is NOT the potential for a nice free stuffer. it is the fact that there is going to be another marinski march! Never ever change the way you create these videos. The best information I have found on RUclips.
Wife and I have enjoyed learning so much from your videos. The sausage stuffer would be an improvement from my kitchen aid.
I bought next size smaller vevor a month ago.Very similar......yours has a better crank.

Always wonderful learning what to look out for in proper equipment - that one will certainly keep anyone stuffing sausages for years to come
i'm looking to buy a sausage stuffer, I come on youtube to see if there are any reviews, and i see your video- this is everything i could have ever wanted from youtube right at this moment, thanks!

awsum show! bought the book and made bavarian smokies. keep up the good work!
Growing Two Hogs and excited to stuff casings Perfect video for me to see how that stuffer works. Thanks for being comprehensive and in laymen terms.

I'm currently preparing to purchase a sausage stuffer and evaluating a few different models. The video was helpful. Thank you for producing it!
I spent days last year researching what your video covers in minutes. Amazingly valuable videos, I would love to see one on smokers!

Thanks for the review-we are in the market for a new stuffer and you highlighted some areas we had not considered!
Thanks Duncan, will be coming to your shop in the near future. Have learned so much watching your videos. Really like how you explain every step

Excellent show been making sausage for a while it’s been hit and miss till your videos I haven’t struck out yet thank!!!
Thanks Duncan. I’m very dissatisfied with the stuffer I bought from cabela’s. It requires a great amount of force regardless of how much water I add. So, I’m back in the market. Your timing is perfect. I really enjoy your videos and detailed instructions

Good job Duncan glad to see you back and feeling better that beard still looks good on you
Thanks!
Wow that's super generous. Thank you very much Radicalanddangerous.
Also cool user name haha 😎
Hey Duncan, It's just a little something that I could afford.
Roy
Your videos have been a great help to me getting started making mine. Keep up the great videos.
I'm bought the book and I'm looking forward to another Marinski March. Buy the way, good looking beard.
Glad to hear you're testing these Amazon stuffer. We got a similar one but 2.5L. Works great. Just a word of advice, me and my dad learned that if the stuffing starts coming out of the side .Flipping the seal upside down helps solve the problem, seems counterintuitive and is a little trickier to insert, but it works. Hope that advice helps!
Great vid. Brought an electric stuffer from e bay (Unbranded). Had to recently modify the plunge plate when the grub screw in the centre failed. Had to get it drilled through and put food grade Stainless bolt all the way through.
The bits of meat left after stuffing I use for hamburgers.
I really enjoy your videos! I have learned a lot by watching them. Thank you, and keep up the good work!
Thanks for the review. I've had my eye on that stuffer and wanted a closer look.
Good video Duncan. looking forward to more Marianski March.
Looks awesome. I have been looking for a stuffer so timing is perfect. Thanks
enjoying your RUclips channel , making my own with the recipes and your video"s explaining the process in the making ..Thanks . keep up the great work ,
Thank you for all the information!! As a new sausage maker it was exactly what I needed to make an informed purchase!!
Really liking the channel, please keep up the great videos!
Duncan really like your content and presentation. Please keep up the good work
Excellent video Duncan, well done.
Great video and you the Mann. take care, looking forward to next video. Greetings from Denmark.
Another great video sir. Looking forward to Marenski March!
Thanks for your honnest point of view on the stuffer. It would be nice too if you could have link for similar items you use.
Thanks for the great info! Seems like a great stuffer for home use.
Recently found you on RUclips. You’re doing a great job...educational!!
Can’t get enough of your videos
Very helpful looking for a stuffer now.
Looks like a handy stuffer. Can't wait to see it in action.
Really looking forward to Marinski March this year!! I am a fairly new sub to your channel and really enjoy your videos!!!

Nice to hear what you said about this stuffer cause yesterday I received the deer kitchen brand that’s identical to the one you got in size and build.
