My Berner Lukas was the light of my life for 11.5 years. We formed a wonderful bond from the day he came home with me, and his silly antics made life a whole lot of fun. He continued to think he was a lap dog right up to weighing over 100 lbs, and if you sat on his couch, he sat on you. Never a better friend could you find, a better pal for walkies, a better comfort if you were sad. Everyone we met wanted to pet him, touch his silky fur, get a kiss...he helped me meet all of my neighbors! Only problem...when he passed, he left a giant hole. When I’m ready, I will look for another BMD, as they are very special.
Hi, yes our Moby passed at 13 (I know thats crazy age for a burner but he was slightly small for a male) and he was a fantastic dog and so easy to train... a real joy and never put a paw our of place once he got out of being a puppy ( I lie he was always cheeky!) Its been over 7 years now and we will be getting a new Burner in Feburary.... you just cant have enough of them in your lives! I feel your loss but they do add a special something and there are no other breeds quite like them.
12 years with my bernese fluff beast. She was my only friend for a while when I was a kid and had some serious issues. These dogs actually have the ability to be a mans best friend better than men ever was to themselves.
I really appreciated the mention of this breed as a therapy dog. When I was in grade school I was put in a special class to read to a Bernese Mountain dog as I had terrible dyslexia ever since I have been 100% in love with these amazing animals.
There is a Bernese in my neighborhood who is often tied up in a garden. Sometimes, the owners do walk him and let him play in the garden. I feel sorry for him, so I often toss treats to him and pay him attention. He appreciates it and when he is not on his leash, he runs to me for a big hug and for play. He appreciates the treats and attention.
@@nasseryousif1222 That is such a disservice to that poor dog. They are NOT outside, tied up dogs. They need to be indoors and kept cool and around people. I would write them an anonymous letter in their mailbox encouraging them to rehome that poor baby to a family that knows how to take proper care of them. Friggin people.

Very Very true. Had the pleasure of 2 of these dogs. 7 years old and serious problems begin to develop. Predominately cancer. More often than not there will be ligament problems for which an operation will be needed to correct or regular does of pain relievers to keep them functioning well.Loved everyday of our 7 years together but I gotta tell ya the heartbreak of the loss is practically unbearable. Tears, to this day fall, upon remembrance.7 years goes so fast I couldn't believe it.
I didn’t even know they had bad health issues- my Bernese Maggie is 12, and while she has had lots of health issues this last year, she was super healthy for most of her life
When I was a kid, my uncle used to have a breeding of around 10 Bernese mountain dogs. My cousin and I were spending our days playing outside with them. We were the happiest kids alive. Best dogs ever!
I have had a Bernese mountain dog black lab mix I was lucky to find for $50...He's now going on 13 yrs old this September and I have to say He's been a better dog and family companion than I ever expected. When he was young he could outrun my four wheeler climbing hills and has shown amazing agility for being over 100 lbs... This is a special breed and I am Blessed to have him in my Home
We’re on our third over the last 20 years. Blue just turned one and has reminded us of all of the things our family has cherished about this breed. Big hugs and loving expressions every day. Truly a gift.
I have my a female Bernese, she’s 16 mos old. Never had this breed before, but I now know I will always have a Bernese in my life. I absolutely love this breed. She’s best buds with my 8 mo old GSD. Just sad they have a short lifespan. Hopefully she’ll be around for a while.
I have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Gaia and she just turned 4 years old. I love my little girl so much! She’s just so energetic, playful, happy, yet lazy and calm dog. I couldn’t ask for a better dog than her
My dear friend James introduced me to a Bernese mountain dog abt 8 yrs ago, his dog Sunny, I absolutely fell in love with her. What an amazing breed she's unbelievable not to mention smarter than half of the people I know lol.. she's approaching 9 years old and unfortunately after speaking with him last night she has to be put down soon , I'm so heartbroken so this is my tribute to her . Sunny you brought so much happiness into my life I'll always remember you and love you.
My Berner lived until she was 10. Ran her in search and rescue and she was awesome at it. One of the most versatile breed of dog out there. New puppy coming home 6/07/19. Once you've had a Berner you'll always need one in your life...
Best family dog anyone could ask for!!! I've had dogs my entire life, huskys, Sheppard's, lab, weimaraner, the Bernese mountain dogs are incredible. So protective & fun & gentle with kids of all ages
I had exactly such a dog, unfortunately he passed away from me 21.06.2021.... He was my best friend who accompanied me everywhere. Now I want a new one and hope that I can fulfill this wish. This dog breed is beautiful and just perfect. Greetings Stephan
I'm so sorry for your loss and can sympathise with your sorrow especially after losing two aged Sarplaninacs within a year of each other. July 2020. May 2021. My wife and I have just taken ownership of a 4 month old Bernese, a delightful little character full of sunshine and energy and more trouble than the two Sars were when they were pups his age We've named him Dylan and his mischief is wonderful and never ending. He's a bundle of absolute joy and follows us everywhere because, wherever we go, he knows he'll find more mischief to get into. I sincerely hope you find yourself another friend soon. Best wishes Dylan & us.
BMG is the breed of my childhood dreams. I rescued 1 and have been rewarded with the best dog. Everything I dreamed they would be and more love than a thousand lifetimes.
We had a Berner who sadly passed away in July of 2019. He was 10 years old and the best dog we’ve ever owned. They are an incredibly affectionate breed and very mellow. Please beware of the copious amount of fur they will leave all over your home. If that is an issue, I would not recommend this breed for you. He was our very best boy and we miss him greatly❤️
My dog, whom we obviously called Bernie, was an absolute angel and the star of our life. Was hard to watch this video and not tear up at the end. Brother and I grew up with him, for 13 blessed years
I have 40 acres and 4 Berners! Love this breed. They are so loving and a great temperament. Our 2 boys tend to be more aggressive than our 2 girls, they like to rough house more, and the girls are happy just to sit and watch when they can! They do need a lot of room to roam or frequent exercise due to their large size they often have joint problems, so they need to stay active, no sitting around doing nothing or it can make things worse! Truly awesome smart and loving dogs!
My friend and former neighbor had a Bernese Mountain Dog. I knew him since he was a puppy. He was great. My neighbor fostered dogs, and the Bernie always helped the fosters. He was always kind to my dog who weighs in at 11 pounds. My favorite memory of him is that he would bark at me if I only used one hand to pet him. He wanted both of my hands. Such a sweet dog. I’m sorry he’s gone now.
My wife and I have 3 Bernese mountain pups age 7mths, 13mths and 14mths! The youngest is a female ball of energy, keeping both males busy. We have had our home and yard changed in ways we never imagined. We are in our 60's and are extremely happy to have such great companions. Walks are challenging, but we are adapting to both growth and strength of these big furry friends! We have had malamutes and a black lab, but only one at a time. Having 3 brings both commitment and extra joy.
Spectacular dog. If you don’t like hair, it won’t work😂 so loving. They draw a LOT of attention to you. They act like cats. They LOVE to lounge. They need lots and lots of attention and will let you know. A little dopey at times. I have had 4 at one time. I have found 2 is best. They really love one another and console each other when needed. The brushing is a MAJOR must. If not, they get dreadlocks in no time. They have a guilty conscience without question when they do something wrong😊 No question about it. They are amazing.
We had 3, our girl died in January at the age of 12. Now we have 2 boys, brothers, they are 8 and love this breed!! So kind and gentle. And the hair!! Oh the hair!! But def a breed worth having!!!!
Mary McKay your definitely experienced 😂, so I’m wondering if it would be a good idea to buy one (male 5 months old) I’m South Africa it’s normally around 25-32 degrees here at most and I’m worried it’s a bit too hot for the breed. What do u think?
@@kabelomotlepa9203 unless you shave them and cool them constantly it would just be uncomfortably hot for them all the time. i have one and in my country( lithuania) it constantly gets to 25 degrees C on summer. my boy would always go under the familly truck to cool off XD or into the lake, which is luckily near our home. so yeah , if you dont have a way for them to cool off i wouldnt suggest adopting this breed.
I had a very special bond with my Bernese. Best friend I've ever had. Letting him go was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Honest to god still miss him nearly every day even after almost 10 years. I miss you Binky, I hope you're happy up there..
The kennel owner where I used to board my dogs had Berners. One of them thought she was a lap dog, and it's hard to get up with that much dog pinning you down!
Oh I love my Berner girl. She is a big dopey, goofy, happy pup with tons of fur and an ever hungry tummy. Absolutely a perfect, intelligent companion, easily trained, well behaved and awesome with kids and immediate family. A bit slow to warm up to strangers, doesn't like loud noises or shouting and can be shy. She is seven now and I worry how long she will be in my life, but at this point so far so good and I really love this dog to bits.
I can recommend them for everyone who looks for a family dog outside urban areas. Our Berner Freya was the perfect family dog, she even helped to raise kittens. She was a bit tinier than most Berners but lived 13 great years, having very strong bounds to my mum, me and my two brothers.
I'm having a bernese moutain dog for about a year. She is the most kind hearted and sweetest soul i've ever met. She always looks out for our family members and even after the cats.
Possibly my favorite breed. I've never owned one, but have had many friends who have and every single one of those dogs has been so friendly and fun to have around.
We got one of these when I was 5 or 6 he lived about 9 years. He was extremely strong. If a pig got out he would grab on to their back leg and could make a 200 pound pig stop in his tracks!! I saw him take on a badger and WIN!! He was the lady's man so to speak in the neighbor hood. We could not stop him from chasing the "girls" (female dogs in the neighborhood) I got the bright idea of tying a 20 foot 2" link log chain around his body thinking the weight would slow him down. It only made him stronger. We had a salesman came on the farm one day. My bernie jumped up on the side of the car. The chain links rattled against the car. The salesman's eyes got as big as saucers, put the car in reverse and left the farm. He was a wonderful guy. Me and my siblings still talk about him. He passed away about 50 years ago. They are amazing friends!
I have a 2 year old Bernese Mountain Dog named Agnes. And she is the best! She is so funny at times! She burps randomly! They are just a great breed! I hope my Bernese lives long!
I have a Bmd and her name is Robin. She is my big love ball and she is 100% the best family dog I could have- she’s the cutest doggie ever and makes everyone so happy:)
Best dog I ever had was a Bernese Mountain dog mix. He was a great watchdog, wonderful temperament and very smart. In addition, he was a very handsome dog and always got compliments from people on his walks around the neighborhood. Of course, we spoiled him a bit at dinner time, and he loved my Italian wife's cooking -lol. Amazingly, he lived to be a little over 16 years old. We were heartbroken when he passed away, my wife called him our "gentle giant".
we had brother and sister. he lived to 11 her 12. have another named otis. he is 2 1/2 and full of life. we couldn't be happier with him. he's a big part of the family.
Mika has been in my life for a year and a half now. I can say she is by far the most loving & dedicated dog I have ever owned. Her loyalty to me first, and all of my family is amazing. She has been professionally offleash trained and I work daily with her. She enjoys learning & supporting me. She is easy to take care of. And I would not trade her for any other dog. Love my BMD!!! 🐾🖤
i hope you and your bernie are doing great ❤ our bernie is just born 1 week ago and we can get hin in 7 weeks from now on... Im so excited, its our first experience with thus breed, we stilk got another dog but he is 13 years old already sadly 😢
Knowing characteristics of breeds is so important so that pet owners know exactly what they'll need beforehand ! 😊 Bernese Mountain Dog's are incredible ❤️
My Berber Ripley is a SDiT for me, we go to Disney and universal a lot for work and play. I was originally gonna get a Golden but after the last Golden pup sold I decided to take a look at the Bernese pups. I kept getting drawn back to him but I kept moving away until finally I got 1 on 1 time with him. Now Ripley is 7 months almost 8 and training hard to be the best service dog he can be
I love this breed. I grew up with two that were mixed. As an adult I adopted a 9 month old BMD who lived to be 10.5. She had cancer at 5 years of age. We did what we could but it came back and ultimately took her life at 10.5 years. I have since rescued two more BMDs who are 2 years of age. We have had them for a year. Completely different personalities. One does NOT like cats. Very unusual for this breed. But so loving and I hope I will always have one in my life.
Our dog Connry was outstanding. He lived for 10 and a half years old. He was beautiful beyond word's. He was so loving and a shopper when left alone. So hilarious. Get a Berne, if you can take care if them properly.
we got my dog, Zoey from a few college students who thought it was a good idea to keep her in their apartment. So we took her in and got her in for free which is a steal. She wasn't fed or walked on a regular schedule. shes only around 65-70 pounds. She is such a happy dog. She loves anyone and everyone and everydog is her friend! She loves to be loved!
I’m a happy Horner of Bouvier Bernois, 3 years old now, he save my life, I was in a complete depression, and we met each other “par hazard” and I can say he changed everything, make me waking up at morning. Happy. And always nice. It the pleasure and the treasure of my life! Sorry I don’t have kids 🇧🇪🙏
I've been trying to convince my mom to get me a berner for about a year or so because I really like them and I think that they are great companions and they are really lovable
I am lucky enough to have 2 of these magnificent goofballs. One just turned 10 a few months ago, and the other is just over 7 years old. They are incredibly sensitive - not sure you mentioned that in the video. Or if you did, perhaps more emphasis needs to be given to that. Not just "positive training" but take into account their very sensitive nature. They are the most loving, kind, gentle dogs I have ever known.
I have a Bernese names Indi she is the sweetest dog you will ever have known! My little cousins call her a unicorn dog bc it would’ve so hard to find a dog like her.
I had a beautiful Bernese mountain dog his name was Frasier now he lived to be 12 1/2 years old although I do miss him dearly I now have a new puppy he is great. My poor boy at 6 months has hip dysplasia. We are hoping that he will not need surgery the dad said to let him get fully developed first I will keep you updated I love the Bernese Mountain Dogs Frazier was a very loyal loving friend to the end.
My Bernie Baron was amazing sadly he met his demise at a young age, he was a fun loving enjoyable companion, he loved the water and mountains I miss him, we even had a saint Bernard style neck barrel which was the topper.
I agree, people need to know what they are taking on... however even health problems are TOTALLY cancelled out by their wonderful temperament. Yes, I know that we're going to get our hearts broken far too soon, but our special girl, Beauty, is worth every tear we will shed, and having had the privilege of sharing her life, we could never be without a b.m.d., and when the time comes we will rescue another amazing, precious dog.
I had Duchess for almost 9 years. She ended up having issues with her stomach turning on itself while we were on a family vacation but a very sweet dog that was great with small children. Loved curling up with people that visit but growing up she needed to run around in a big yard because she had lots of energy.
My wooley bully is exactly the opposite of bully. ( Named from the song ) he's the best thing ever . I'm a more outgoing , engaging , happier soul because of him . Short life span breaks my heart . I don't know what I'll do when time comes. Sorry for even thinking about it. These guys are truly something special. And I've had many different breeds in my 58 years. YAY wooley.
I have a Bernese mountain dog he was my best friend ever he lived to be about 12 and a half years old. I they are the greatest dogs ever I love this dog with all my heart and it kills me to have to put him down anyway that's my thoughts on a Bernese mountain dog thank you
Never met one of'em who wasn't incredibly calm, friendly, balanced, and lovely. Great, great dogs for the family. cold, space, friends, medical treatment, long fur, food. Not an easy dog. But man, they are great. They're like golden retrievers, you can always trust'em
My Alfred, aka "Puppygoat" is half Bernese Mtn Dog & half Doberman Pinscher. He is all legs and tall and looks just like a large Doberman but with a wider snout and fur length that is a bit longer than a reg Doberman but shorter than a reg Bernese which I love since I like being able to "fuzz" my dogs so I like them being furry rather than very short-haired. His fur coloring is just like a Doberman except for a very small patch of white fur on his chest. I love this dog so much. He is the most cuddly and clingy dog I've ever had. Also, he was never cropped in any way so he has a natural tail and big floppy ears. With me at ALL times; sleeps ON me/always wants to lay his head on some part of me or my kids. He has been great with kids' friends but I have seen him do something odd when a new person came over - The person walks to my son's room and Alfie is right behind them with his snout about touching their back following behind. He also has a deep, menacing sounding bark which is great for hopefully deterring intruders as I'm a widow. Our other dog is a rescue Lab that was from a high kill shelter in Ga. We live in NJ. Both pups are right now snoozing here on my bed. They're snuggled up next to each other & Riley, aka "Puppycow" is snoring. The "life of Riley", indeed...
It sounds like he is a very protective dog, but it is also completely normal for a dog to be hesitant when a new person enters their environment. They have a territory they call home and a family they love, we'd do the same!
I think when I was a kid we had a burnese and newfoundland mix. He was absolutely massive but such a gentle giant who only wanted attention and love. From everyone. Never pulled his lead, never jumped on anyone, never ever bit anyone. The shelter had told us he wouldn't get too big (he was a small puppy) when we adopted him. Well, we were definitely surprised when he kept growing, but we didn't love him any different.
I have a four month old BMD. I never would have guessed how affectionate, loyal and family orientated they are. If socialized from a young age (as they should be) they are nearly a perfect dog. They do have some serious health issues that owners should be aware of. No matter, it is a dog that people will always want to pet and will provide you with a lifetime of silly antics, love and when needed, a working partner. And at the end of the day, it will turn into a 100 pound lap dog 😊
I love bernese mountain dogs. We have one. Unfortunately she is very sensitive and from her young ages she is afraid of thunder bolt and similar sounds. She is a little bit small sized but beautiful and I love her. She is gentle!
Best breed ever - but I am biased. Training goes a long ways for this 100lb lap dog. Extremely friendly, beautiful and a show stopper when on walks - it seems like everyone wants to pet her. The health issues can be concerning with this breed, but they are full of love and will keep you entertained/laughing for many years.
I think all of this was great, but they should have talked about their strength more! Physically one of the strongest in the world, frick, my Berner Darcy is so strong he could literally pull me in a cart, we just got another one, Huck, he is barely 10 months now and is also dragging me along. I've worked with big and strong breed dogs (mainly german shepherds, and akitas), but nothing has beat Berners strength wise so far for me. xD Also, best tempered breed I have ever met. Shepards are good with training, and Akitas are as long as you extra socialize them, but along the lines of right off the bat great attitudes, Berners hands down. Great dispositions, very loving, and they just want to cuddle 24/7; which is great cause they are just giant mounds of fluff.
We had the honour of providing a high quality of life to a rescue female BMD. She had been mistreated and abused by her original owner....for example fed once a day, left outside all day on her own and appeared to us that she had never received love and affection. When we fed her, she'd swallow all the kibble, never chewing it......when we then filled her water dish, she drank EVERY drop as fast as she could.....when we finally managed to sweet-talk her gently back into the house from our backyard (where she "nested" in a corner of the yard, refusing to respond to our many attempts at play....), she was very, very visibly nervous and anxious and had difficulty letting us pet her, brush her etc, constantly trying to avoid us, backing away until she found a secure place to "nest"....she resisted every attempt we made to offer her doggie treats and she constantly scanned us with her soft brown eyes as if she feared that we would harm her......we were undecided with how to gain her trust and tried everything we could think of to get her to respond to kindness. Finally one day, she took a doggie bone cookie from us but then quickly retreated back into her secure spot where she put it down and continued scanning us thinking that we were about to take it away from her.....we left her to discover that the bone was indeed hers to enjoy.....an hour later we checked on her and the bone was gone....so we gave her another one and she quickly took it and then chewed it....! At last a measure of trust...! Slowly she emerged from her abused, neglected mental state, until several weeks later, she actually played with us in "her" back yard.....she then actually chewed her kibble and drank smaller measures of water rather than drinking all of it at once.....it took over six months to get her to fully trust us, which we were then very happy to offer her the affection she had been denied....she soon regarded us as "her pack" and willingly came with us on her new leash, for walkies and to the lease off dog park......she became a very, very affectionate girl and we then shared her love fully. She was with us for five more years until her departure to doggie heaven (gods leash off private park?) leaving us heart broken but with the best of canine BMD memories....!
Scott Fuller I don’t understand how anyone could abuse animals. Berners especially are so sweet and kind that you can hardly get mad at them for anything and lord knows you can’t stay mad at one. So glad you were able to rescue her and give her a good home! Once ours crosses the bridge along with the cat we have we will probably try to rescue a couple of them.
I've worked with a lot of different dogs, but by far the easiest to train is a Berner. Trained mine for Search and Rescue and carting, and she excelled at both. Very intelligent and great with anything you throw at them.
Sarah-Ashley Boling ours is a nightmare, lol. She eats the other dogs poop, she has a strong prey and herd instinct (she killed a rabbit and eats mice), she gets very jealous if we play with our other 2 dogs and will attack them. No matter how much attention we give her it's not enough and she's extremely energetic. She loves sniffing crotches and butts (have no idea why), very stubborn and will talk back when she's getting yelled at or smacked (for attacking the other dogs). But, I do love her! I love how she turns in a circle to sit between my legs, how when I come home, I can hear her outside doing her little cry with a shoe in her mouth. How she puts her head in my lap when I pet her, lays on her back to sleep and for belly rubs (she especially does that when she knows that she's in trouble.). Also, for a 70 pound dog, she eats 3 times a day. However, she has bad genetics. We didn't known it was a Amish guy selling them until we got there, and we felt so bad. We been to 2 obidient schools that didn't help, and she seems kinda dumb, lol.
My family and I had Benny. He was already quite old when I was born (never ran, needed help into the car and upstairs) but we had some fun times, like riding him like a horse before he passed when I was 4. And the hair thing is true - even like a year after he died, we kept finding clumps behind furniture, under the sofa etc. I'm deffo getting another one when I'm a fully functioning "adult"
Storm is the name of my burnese mountain dog. But he has the most adorable puppy face even tho he's 6 I love him to pieces I have no idea what I would of done if I hadn't met my furry little man. He's such a laid-back dog and loves attentions so whenever my friends come over we spend our time talking and giving storm attention. I feel bad leaving him in the morning to go to school though...I miss him dearly.but when I get back I love to just sit and chill out with my dog.

Anyone that doubts animals have a sense of humor has never lived with a Bernese Mountain Dog. Great video.
Steven Gagne they’re meant to be humorous? Mines probably broken then because he’s just a massive dick that likes chewing my cords

I didn’t even know they had bad health issues- my Bernese Maggie is 12, and while she has had lots of health issues this last year, she was super healthy for most of her life
Don't forget about the bone problems they will get when they get old and how their health goes down fast if you aren't careful o.o

Have you had male and female? I'm curious if there is unique characteristics to gender?
I have my a female Bernese, she’s 16 mos old. Never had this breed before, but I now know I will always have a Bernese in my life. I absolutely love this breed. She’s best buds with my 8 mo old GSD. Just sad they have a short lifespan. Hopefully she’ll be around for a while.
I have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Gaia and she just turned 4 years old. I love my little girl so much! She’s just so energetic, playful, happy, yet lazy and calm dog. I couldn’t ask for a better dog than her
Dogs are true gifts. We have our 6 year old husky, and she brings so much joy to our family.
I’m the fourth generation in my family to have had one! Couldn’t live without one!
They just don't live long enough! But if they lived to be 20 it still wouldn't be long enough.
10 is a great number! Glad you love these puppers!
Best wishes
Dylan & us.
My passed just 1 day ago, he was 10 years old, his dead made a big hole in my heart, I am literally crying meanwhile writing this.
How old was he?
@@peterhutlas3572 how old?
I have a Berner/pyrenees mix. She's 2,but it's been fun watching both breed characteristics come out at times. Best dog I've ever had.
My pup is a Bernese and Pyranese mix as well.. Best pup ever! instagram.com/captainlovesyou
I own one.17 months old.his name is blaze.he is the light of my life.would own no other breed.he is absolutely magnificent.
I had a Berner that died this past summer he lived for 10.5 years. He will always be the best dog I’ve ever had.
They have a guilty conscience without question when they do something wrong😊
No question about it.
@@kabelomotlepa9203 unless you shave them and cool them constantly it would just be uncomfortably hot for them all the time. i have one and in my country( lithuania) it constantly gets to 25 degrees C on summer. my boy would always go under the familly truck to cool off XD or into the lake, which is luckily near our home. so yeah
, if you dont have a way for them to cool off i wouldnt suggest adopting this breed.
Oh the hair You are correct. Lol. When I'm not brushing I always have lint rollers to try and keep it under control.
Mary McKay I just got a Bernedoodles. Mom is a Burmese mountain dog and dad is a standard poodle. She is adorable..
I had my dakota for 8 years she was a treasure no-one that gets a bernese will be disappointed they are amazing animals
I had a very special bond with my Bernese. Best friend I've ever had. Letting him go was the hardest thing I've ever had to do.
Honest to god still miss him nearly every day even after almost 10 years.
I miss you Binky, I hope you're happy up there..
Fact about the breed:
Cutest of all time!!! I love my Berner ❤
Megan Oakley agreed. Cutest of all time.
Best breed ever, I do have a 4 years old Bernese and it's the best thing I did in life.
This breed also needs never ending cuddles, kisses, and hugs!!!!
Oh my God. They are so needy.:) They will sometimes bark for attention:)
I have a 9 year old and she is my everything. The vet told me to watch for arthritis this year.❤
I can recommend them for everyone who looks for a family dog outside urban areas.
Our Berner Freya was the perfect family dog, she even helped to raise kittens. She was a bit tinier than most Berners but lived 13 great years, having very strong bounds to my mum, me and my two brothers.
wow 13 years is a great lifespan, so glad she lived that long. I think the weight control and proper care goes a long way to their health.
I absolutely adore Bernese mountain dogs. They are the love of my life
we had brother and sister. he lived to 11 her 12. have another named otis. he is 2 1/2 and full of life. we couldn't be happier with him. he's a big part of the family.
I have a loveable bern..
The best companion dog i have ever had. Smart, funny, and loyal..
I'm getting my Bernese in a few weeks, so excited for when he comes home.
i hope you and your bernie are doing great ❤ our bernie is just born 1 week ago and we can get hin in 7 weeks from now on...
Now Ripley is 7 months almost 8 and training hard to be the best service dog he can be
I've always wanted to move to Switzerland and, now, this derp is a part of my dream as well. ☺️ It's so loveable!!
The cutest most gorgeous dogs that ever were.
Bernese Mountain Dogs have to be the most awesome, beautiful and loving dog on earth.
MY FAVE BREED!!!!!!!!!
They are beautiful !!
My puppy is part Bernese! She is one of the most playful dogs I know!
Mum used to breed Bernese and we lost our last boy in 2012. I’ve kept his water bowl in my bedroom ever since.
My grandmother had one, and i could ride on his back. Fantastic dog breed, my favorite
The best dog you will ever own in your life. This dog will show you what love really means
I have a Bernese names Indi she is the sweetest dog you will ever have known! My little cousins call her a unicorn dog bc it would’ve so hard to find a dog like her.
❤
We are bringing home a Berner in a month. Thank you for the info and precious videos!
We lost our Berner in June to cancer- he was not quite 4.5 years old. He was the best dog I could have ever asked for and I miss him terribly.
@@kristinlynch267wow, in so sad to hear this! can i ask what happened to your pup that he left us so young? im so sorry :(
these are the cutest puppies i have ever seen.
It's impossible to overstate how good-natured these dogs are. Whether they, as individuals, are working dogs they are exactly everyone's best friend.
Life isn’t complete without a Berner. ❤❤
I have one and he’s just the absolute best and could never be replaced I love him so much ❤️
I had Duchess for almost 9 years.
I've never owned one however, I'm an animal lover. The Burmese is an amazing and awesome breed!❤️💯
The Bernese does seem like a great gentle pet!
I have a bernese mountain dog!
He is super sweet!
My Beautiful Mountain Dog is 11 years old and is my BEST Friend
These dogs has SO much personality
I love bernese mountain dogs. We have one. Unfortunately she is very sensitive and from her young ages she is afraid of thunder bolt and similar sounds. She is a little bit small sized but beautiful and I love her. She is gentle!
Such a beautiful, lovely and gentle dogs!!!
They're amazing guard dogs to!
Greatest breed! Once my dog fell asleep during training.
I think all of this was great, but they should have talked about their strength more! Physically one of the strongest in the world, frick, my Berner Darcy is so strong he could literally pull me in a cart, we just got another one, Huck, he is barely 10 months now and is also dragging me along. I've worked with big and strong breed dogs (mainly german shepherds, and akitas), but nothing has beat Berners strength wise so far for me. xD
Also, best tempered breed I have ever met. Shepards are good with training, and Akitas are as long as you extra socialize them, but along the lines of right off the bat great attitudes, Berners hands down. Great dispositions, very loving, and they just want to cuddle 24/7; which is great cause they are just giant mounds of fluff.
Noble, Gentle, Affectionate ❤️
That's the cutest puppy I've ever seen. Great video!
My dream dog!!!! 😍😍😍😍
the best bread ever love everything about them
Great vid
I have a Bernese mountain dog that is 7 months old ❤️ she’s wonderful
John Doe that’s the problem with the breed’s genetic pool nowadays bc of those irresponsible breeders..
Excellent video my wife and I have owned four. Great dogs. New Jersey
Got two fantastic dogs and very loyal..love them
Storm is the name of my burnese mountain dog.
