I loved this!! 👏 I'm from Spain and my husband is half Vietnamese and half Korean and as she said they are very reserved, family oriented and very loyal to their partner. They have different ways of expressing their affection. I think latin people express affection more openly to their partner as where Asian men and maybe not all but in my experience are a lot more reserved and have different ways of expressing it! These two make a beautiful couple!

Asians and Latins look sort of alike depending on the person (this couple isn't one though) so it's not hard to imagine how their baby would look plus as an Asian guy I guess we and Latinas would get on well from my experience. Oh yeah, of course they look cute together.

I am Spanish American and my boyfriend is Thai/Vietnamese American and were still together and we love each other very much. I a glad to have him in my life.
I can understand and even respect that some people won't date outside their race (so long as those opinions don't affect how they view people who choose to). I can even understand the fear that some have that so much diversity will, in some way, dilute the characteristics... whether they be physical and cultural...of their race. That being said, I have a biracial heritage, and I feel that community plays a more important role in cultural identity than genetics. In the end, people should respect other's choices. That includes both choosing not to date outside your race or to choose to do so. Neither side should be made to feel bad about their decision.
This is so great to see. Latinos mixing well with Koreans. All you need is some attraction and chemistry. They click. They were open to each other's cultures/customs. She's okay with his shyness. I mean look at the way he sat with her. He was leaning in the opposite direction. :) I guess it was just how he was raised. Even as a Korean-American from NY.
Some American-born Koreans (Chinese, JP..etc.) though are less shy and just as outwardly affectionate. Maybe more so (than this beautiful woman). But in general most Asian's are raised in cultures that are fairly "conservative sexually". So expressing themselves is usually not natural and usually awkward (I live in a very Chinese area).
Many couples walk around together looking like they are "brother & sister". Relatives. Friends. And when they to try to show affection (e.g. hold hands, arm on shoulder) they look robotic. Mostly. But it works for them so..I'm talking about Chinese boy + Chinese girl (or man/woman). Which isn't to say Say couples from other cultures can't be "awkward sexually".
I do sort of find it interesting they connected still. I would have thought he would be a little more "expressive/affectionate" than he looked for them to click. Even though she obviously saw past the shyness and reserved (sexually) "Asian ways". And found in him what she was looking for. What was more important to her. Maybe he was nervous being on a talk show.

true that white and hispanic females prefer dating non-Asian males, but many white and hispanic females that marry their own divorce at a higher rate too..Asian males aren't involved in many interracial relationships, but when they do, the gals they get involved with are drop dead gorgeous and intelligent.

don't get upset. the only reason why it's called mismatched is because it's not something you see everyday. among hispanics, it's a rare thing, especially in the states. not that it doesn't happen, but that when you do see it it catches everyone's eye.
I remember watching this interview a few years ago, I was touched lol, such a beautiful couple 3 and they had beautiful kids as well ^_^
East asian men are the smartest, most decent and reliable group of ppl out there. Despite their women heavily dating out one can rarely see bitterness from their part. Unlike men of other races who simply bash and outcast their women for dating outside, asian men are much more understanding. They rarely date inter,but when they do, they always land(from what I've seen)a 8/9 girl whether she's black, hispanic, indian or white. Asian men are mostly nice guys and nice guys eventually finish first.

(cont). women from other countries, mostly young women/girls, have such an idealized version of Korean men. I started watching Korean dramas nearly 8 years ago and I too had this idealized view. I'm nearly 23 now and have grown in maturity. Yes, I have always liked the more stylish-flower boy types but what I find attractive has changed to include others beyond that. But young Asian men are extremely filial as well. If parents don't approve then they won't date a girl.

and so 4 years later, i got married to a born/raised asian man (He found me, not shy at all like many ppl say..). Having the blast of our lives. Must say there are very little differences in our cultures, and when it comes to living together it feels just right, home like :-)
I`m japanese-spanish living in the philippines. Believe it or not brazilian models marry filipino guys here. Miss earth priscilla mereilles married a local actor & other latina models dates with local mestizos. I date aussie white girls most of the time but I`m not the marrying type so it`s not impossible for asian guys to get white girls.

It was an Asian gala for charity, but i didn't really know anything about her until that night...also, Dat Nguyen(Dallas cowboys) was there too...his wife was really beautiful..they brought their daughters along...also, that famous Vietnamese fashion designer was there also...can't recall her name.
I think that Asian men are attractive like all other men, but I think that Korean dramas has made things difficult for the average Korean man and woman. Korean dramas rarely have a male lead that has average looks. The male lead is always really attractive and sometimes has a feminine look. Japan is even worse b/c they love androgyny. A lot of their male celebrities have such a feminine look that all you have to do is slap a wig on them. Kdramas has romanticized Korean men so much that

I was born in Seoul Korea but i'm a Vietnamese American and traveled around Asia when i was younger, but now, i travel around the U.S alot and vacation quite a bit in Europe each year.. I live in Houston and graduated from college at UT Austin...have friends all over the country...haven't been to NYC though

even though you see it, doesn't mean it's common or that it's entirely accepted by the hispanic community in terms of tradition. also, this is also taking into account that he doesn't speak spanish or she korean. it might seem silly to you, but in the big picture of things concerning tradition or commonality, it is rare and some consider it mismatched.
