Yes, the 21. February 1996 was Alans 50th Birthday... Oh Happy Birthday Mr. Heartbreaker, i love your Performance in this movie, in all your movies... I miss you so much....💔
On this day a badass legend was born on this day he turned 50 at the birthday party bash premier of this iconic period drama to celebrate his birthday and his movie happy 50th birthday 👑🎂🥂🍾🎊🥳🎁🎉to one of the greatest friends of Hollywood rip alan
I ship Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman so hard, what ever it was, this friendship with professional admiration for each other's work, it was absolutely adorable.
I'm sorry, but I could never be an entertainer. They have to give up so much for their talent/Job, such as their personal life and freedom. Most entertainers can't walk down the street without someone yelling at them for an autograph or a picture. Well, Alan's in heaven now, and can relax from all that.
I'd pay good money for a transcript of those few seconds. The last bit Rickman says sounds like "...you ought to play it." so maybe talking about some up coming role/production? I'm sure it was something cheeky, Alan was rather a socialist. My favorite part though is the beginning where Rima goes in ahead of him, and he has to stand there with this look of wishing that he could just go in with her.
I've done my best, and almost gone deaf in the process, but here you go: Starting at 2:53 (turn your volume up for best listening) - The Prince's assistant introduces Alan and tells the Prince that Alan played Colonel Brandon. Prince: "Was that a good part?" Alan: "It was your part, but you weren't available!" laughing with the Prince about how he should've been given Alan's role (Alan always was very humble, even if this is a joke!) Prince: "Oh, Ha-Ha!" (making jokes) Prince: "Have you got something else on the way?" (work-related) Alan: "Well, I've just finished playing Rasputin." (this was shortly before the TV movie aired) Prince: "Is that a film?" Alan nods. Prince: "Is it worth seeing?" Alan: "I'll tell you next Friday!" Prince: "I know you will!" Then they laugh and the Prince moves to the next person.
Bloody murder he’s so attractive
This is one of the cutest clips I've seen of him. What a beautiful face he had.
What a superb professional, posing for pictures on demand and keeping his dignity throughout.

He looked camera shy 🖤
Hardly. He looked very tired and was actually very calm and in complete control. Nice little black heart there.

Don't fans sound funny the way they keep yelling his name
I'm getting flashes of that stupid squirrel just listening to them "Oh look there's Alan - Alan Alan Alan!"

I gave up show biz and went pre med. I hated being on tour. Cho cho san is now a writer in phoenix and a retired md. 3 15 2021
Alan loved his fans! And although he is in heaven, he is not resting, he is doing good like he always did! ❤

No lo sabia, pardon mr spy
Colonel Brandon is supposed to be 36 years old. Alan Rickman canNOT pass as 36. Way too old.
...the bravery and the beauty of this man was unstoppable. Sorry for you ... But Alan Rickman was a true actor , no matter the age .
