The fact that his hero, his idol, says with all sincerity that he can be whatever he wants, always makes me sigh. Imagine how often Oliver has been told worthless and broken because of his disability, especially in the cutthroat world of Hell. But not from Fizz, the one he looks up to the most. Fizz made sure to break the cycle of cynical, empty adoration he had with Mammon. Honestly, he probably has more grace and love in him than half the cherubs…
Am I the only who noticed that the kids horns were ALSO broken? A sweet detail I’m now realizing but it’s really touching how Fizz does what he can for his Fans.
@@PeachWookiee I think that's one of the reasons the cannibals in Hazbin Hotel are so friendly. They were good people in their life, but they just couldn't stop eating other people.
I think the Sinners are probably the only group that is made up of mostly rotten people. I think that the imps, candle-heads and the other hellborn are mostly just trying to get by as best they can
What's really impressive is they actually got the formatting right too, with the subject being first. Alot of representation is what my teacher calls "hand speak" where you use signs as you would speak instead of structuring them with the subject before the action. The kid signing "Clown Alike" instead of just the words shows there's some genuine thought put in.
It's so sweet seeing the kid get excited that Fizz noticed him. Love how the kid lit up when Fizz noticed him in the crowd. This just shows how kind and caring Fizz is towards his fans. It's very heartwarming.
It's moments like these that keep me watching this show. Best example for me is the conversation with Loona and Octavia in "Seeing Stars." It's just nice to see that people in Hell have the capacity to be kind to one another, to care about one another. Makes it all the worthwhile to watch these characters and to hope for them to work past their flaws and baggage to become (slightly) better people. Also, as someone who learned ASL and about the Deaf community in high school, I appreciate the representation. We need more Deaf characters in, well, everything. Unfortunately, I don't remember much of it, no thanks to having to learn it over Zoom during the height of COVID, but I've been thinking about relearning it. This might've convinced me to do so.
I think the most prominent one recently was the deaf girl Jia in Godzilla Vs Kong and the sequel. She is a really talented actress who doesn't let her disability pull her down
@@Mr.Malliquin666 Have representation like this instead their image is all they care about and they don’t see the good to have representation like this in their stuff
These moments make me forget that these people are in Hell, of all places! Maybe it's just torture to the Sinners and not the Hellborns, ironically enough.
I this universe, hell seems more of a place to store sinners than a place to torture them. It really just seems like a lousy place because it's full of lousy people.
This could be a massive reach, but I like to think that fizz knows sign language cause he might’ve needed during his recovery since the explosion may have damaged his ear drums and vocal cords.
I so want Fizz and Ozzie to adopt this lil guy. This would be the start of a new arc in their life. From boyfriends to fathers and then to husbands and finally to a family.
It looks like Oliver came to the pageant by himself, since we don’t see a parent or guardian with him. Considering how much Mammon was charging for attendance, this kid probably saved up all his money to come see Fizz. Just like how Fizz did to see Mammon all those years ago
It's really cute how Fizz communicates with the little guy! I also believe that there's some contrast between the kid and Burnie (the obsessed fan from the episode). Burnie is an obsessive and disrespectful "fan" who goes overboard with his his behaviour to the point of unhealthy attitude and entitlement. Meanwhile, the kid here (I believe he's called Oliver) is actually quite the opposite. Yeah, he's expressing how much he admires Fizz, but does so _respectfully and kindly_ by comparison. And so, Fizz responds differently to each of the two situations. I like to think of it as a secondary subtle message in the episode, it's really good!
The difference in their expression speaks volumes. Bernie just rambles and vomits and openly fantasizes and showcases how he’s so broken and twisted as a person his “admiration” is just a facet of his psychosis. He doesn’t actually care about Fizz or his art at all, he’s just an outlet for his own insanity. But Oliver (yep, he actually has a name, Vic confirmed it)? He just says “I’m a big fan”. Nothing more or less. Despite being small and deaf and young and alone, he’s so secure in himself he can express his appreciation in honest terms. And then he says he doesn’t want to BE or BE WITH FIZZ, but he’s INSPIRED to be a clown BECAUSE of him. Almost like Viv is plainly depicting Good and Bad fans for us, and I’m sure she has come into contact with both. Not just because of how damaging they can be to artists, but because like you say, the Bad ones are just unhealthy to themselves.
One little detail that i love is every other person in the crowd is waering a dollar sign or an m for mammon but the little boy is the only one wearing fizz's face
This doesn't even feel like it's here just for representation; the inclusion wouldn't have worked half so well if this young man didn't use sign language because it allows them to communicate freely in a situation where anyone else would have to raise their voice in order to be heard. He's a small part that just comes and goes in a matter of seconds but not a frame is wasted.
As a person with disability, seeing that even demons characters in animated series can be disabled as well I feel uplifted. This episode and Fizz's struggless touched me deeply and this scene is simply fantastic. After being hurt by the fire Fizzarolli probably lost his voice and had to learn to use sign language to communicate, before he was given the sound box. Through this whole episode you can see how Fizzarolli feels pressured and tired, because he really wants to act for his true fans like this little deaf imp. THIS IS SO WHOLESOME! ❤❤
You know... Hazbin Hotel Charlie was right. Inside some demons are rainbows, this scene with Fizz and a few other wholesome moments with other characters are proof about that fact
Awww so sweet. This is the most wholesome interactions of Helluva Boss. I love Fizz's connection with other demons especially those with disabilities. This kid is so sweet.
I can just about imagine Angel taking Husk out to the circus for a date and them seeing Fizz interacting with a deaf child during a performance and then looking worn out or abused by Mammon and they just kidnadopt Fizz and take him to Stollas to get his contact nullified, like presumably Angel did/ will do with Valentino. @@amarant1275 yeah, Fizz got caught in the explosion while the chihuahua and the kid are born disabled and would make sense since Fizz ear drums popped while in the explosion
@@enderslime2090 That or maybe his vocal chords were damaged too because his voice has changed a lot from his teen ages while Blitz keeps the same only that slightly softer. Appart of that he got amputated all his limbs.
