1. Make sure you have Secure Boot Disabled in BIOS.
2. Shut down, then press power button + BIOS Key (see below)
3. Search for Secure boot option under all the options and Disable it.
4. BIOS Key (Select your company)
Acer: F2 or DEL
ASUS: F2 for all PCs, F2 or DEL for motherboards
Dell: F2 or F12 HP: ESC or F10
Lenovo: F2 or Fn + F2
Lenovo (Desktops): F1
Lenovo (ThinkPads): Enter + F1.
MSI: DEL for motherboards and PCs
Microsoft Surface Tablets: Press and hold volume up button.
Origin PC: F2
Samsung: F2
Sony: F1, F2, or F3
Toshiba: F2

thanks so much i was stuck on flex and i could not get a windows recover so this saved my laptop i was also trying to get FYDE the whole time i just used the wrong file (:
Intstalled it but dissapointed ,the ui is so good but i cant install steam it wont work, also the games install but the buttons arent mapped and finding a keymapper is a nightmare, i installed this on my main setup so now im fked 😢gonna have to move back too Nobara its a good os but the keymapping issue destroys everything also the built in linux terminal can't actually run much apps only basic stuff like neofetch 😵💫

FydeOS is superb, and I have tried all the android OS variants. However, I could only get it to work on a computer with both an Intel CPU and an Intel integrated graphics card.

no unfortunately only x64 support is there if u have a 32 bit cpu try going with other linux distros like puppy linux lubuntu or void linux this wont work in 32bit cpu@@deep_quotes779

i loved when it 1st came out they said they wouldnt sell it it would be a free os. now to get full Access you have to pay makes me want to go back to linux again

same here, i got stuck in fydeos logo then its back to startup menu. then i tried to boot again and it somewhat just crash and im back to chromeos

Nvidia GPU is not supported for now.
They play store wont open, when i click on it, there is a loading icon then the app crashes
I used to use FydeOS but it gave way more problems than Chrome OS Flex, my computer wasn't powerful enough to run games on it anyway😂
I still recommend both, just test and see which works best for you.

Fyde os not fully function touchscreen on anbernic win600 I mean it detect touch screen but not function well and also anbernic win600 controller not function very well without keymapper. I already test it on Anbernic win 600. It's works very well,smooth and it can even play My times at portia and others pc to android port games. btw, I using fyde os Apu AMD version..

Yes you can use the Chromebook recovery utility.

It is based on Chromium which is open source. Also you can use a local account instead of FydeOS account. You can check here for more information. fydeos.io/faq

After booting from usb its showing vmlinuz-ok for few seconds and then again it boots into chrome os flex

Play store on Fyde OS is not signing in, it is showing an error that " This device is not certified with Google play store"

Hi there, when i tried to run the fydeOs on the boot bios it just went to a blank screen
Make sure your processor is supported and secure boot is disabled in BIOS.
Everytime i try to install gapps it says something when wrong
Try uninstalling the gapps and installing again.
Won't let me install Fyde OS.. I get some secure boot error message :(
You need to disable secure boot from BIOS settings.

i am using chromeos right now i made the bootable usb following your guide for fyde os.
i came upon the language setup menu in fyde os booting to it and my keyboard was working i could press enter but could not move my mouse to click to get started.
