    Science only describes the universe; it does not explain it. Humanism is another name for scientism with many of its' own dogmas,

      Yes, science only describes (or, more accurately, "explain" through its causes) the universe. Philosophy and religion, on the other hand though, try to explain it.
      And yes, though to be more accurate, humanism promotes scientism.

      Wrong! The Scientific Method is the best n most consistently reliable way of learning n understanding reality via falsifiable, peer reviewed evidence.
      And science isn't a dogma. It has no scripture, no temples, or cults, followers, it has no deity to worship n doesn't assert that the supernatural and/or magic exits.
      That's religion n cults which adhere to that nonsense.
