I’ve been a die hard Alabama fan my entire life. Lou has grinded my gears in the past, but, he rarely speaks anything other than facts. This has been the absolute best breakdown and honest description of the fuster cluck way that the top four was chosen. Lou should be on a national sports show, he makes more sense than the majority of sportscasters ~ and he tells it like it is, facts don’t care about feelings. Love it. ROLL TIDE!

Despite the fall of FSUs QB it's sad to see the committee leave them out the CFP because of that, that's just not fair to the other players on the team. I was actually rooting for them to lose so that we wouldn't have to be in this predicament, however, since they didn't lose and won their conference undefeated they don't deserve to be looking down the bottom of a gun barrel. I know that Bama beat Georgia and won the SEC so that holds some weight, just didn't think that they would leave FSU out. FSU even actually scheduled 2 non-conference teams because they knew that their conference was not good and they beat both of those teams, but still didn't get the nod. Good thing is that next year 12 teams will be in so no one should have a real gripe next year.
Yep. They beat 2 SEC teams and LSU was ranked 5 at the time. They actually beat the spread the last two game without their QB. They actually had more total yards in their championship than Michigan did in theirs. This is pretty bad.

In the NFL, the best records don’t always get in. 7-9 Seattle got in because they won their division. And they got a home game to boot.
I'm not accusing Athletic Directors from all over the country of having a SEC bias, I'm directing stating they hand picked the teams that would make them the most money, which is part of their business model.

It's ok, when FSU gets beat by 30 in their bowl game everyone will know the right decisions were made.
Some “we’re back” teams that might be worthwhile could be Auburn, Southern Cal, or Clemson (if you want to go with a newer team). Florida fits the bill, but I’d give them a year to fire their coach and get their hopes up before they get the “we’re back” treatment.
How Florida acted when they beat Tennessee tells me they are a candidate for the "We're back" teams. Their slump has been a mirror image of Texas' slump too (just not this year...). They just haven't got out of it. You need the mirror image of Texas on this list.
i’m a gator and i also feel like texas is our mirror image program. huge flagship school of a major southern state with past football success and some legendary players that has struggled as of late despite having great resources. Texas has found their guy and they have dug themselves out of the hole so i hope we can do that soon cuz i don’t really think napier is that guy

College football is the only sport where record doesn't determine the playoff but its also the only sport where 2 teams in the sport can play a 12 team schedule that doesn't include a single common opponent
Just too many teams to do it right. How do you measure 132 teams against each other? The 12 team will rectify a lot of it. If you get left out as the #13 team - you were poo anyway.
Lou, you ain’t mad and Bama fans may be the only other base that understands that. We’ve enjoyed 10 SEC Championship appearances in Saban’s run with 9 victories. During that time we’ve made 10 playoffs, 9 National Championship games with 6 Nattys. How in hell can anybody with common sense expect that level of perfection to last forever. If we never win another game we have accomplished more than any other program can conceive in their wildest dreams. It’s not hyperbole. It’s in the history books.
Lou, i am a huge GA fan and have been my whole life and I'm 63. You are spot on. We blew it. We had a chance for a 3-peat. my friends said we would still be in and I knew we wouldn't. I don't get why fans from other teams give you such a hard time. They don't listen to everything you say! We will be back. I hate loosing to Bama more than any other team. This one hurts for me. Even Nick Saban hasn't won 3 in a row.

Ga wet the bed in this game. Bobo went back to his Richt-era play-calling. Going forward, Kirby must get them blue-chip DL and LB players. He also needs to do a better job of getting top-notch WRs and RBs. We should always attract 1st rounders at those positions. With the exception of a fully healthy Brock, we had no one who struck fear in the opposing team.

But they beat Florida or Louisville convincongly they are in. Bama has been the most consistent team in playoff era. Hell last year they let in a team that did not even make their conference title game due to too many good teams having multiple losses.

My favorite still is when you kept your word and drank the 1980 Georgia NC Coke! At the end of the day it’s just a game we all Love and enjoy ribbing each other a little. I think some people would say that if you’re going to consider Bama as one of the “four best teams” then keep it consistent all the way around and put Georgia in there as well. Bottom line is you gotta have some type of criteria for this shit man. The committee was wildly inconsistent this year. I still think Bama should have gotten in before FSU but you HAVE to be consistent with that or just leave FSU in there and give them a shot.
As a Florida state fan I could have lived with it still being the BCS and only two getting in because there were three undefeated, but this was just wrong I wouldn't have cared if it was Florida or Miami I'm done with college football it's all about money now and not the sport and it's worse than the NFL at this point, at least they have set guidelines

@@carljohnson1608: standard for what?! Uga has beaten bama once in 16 years. Kirby is one and six against Saban. Uga was thanking their luvky stars they didn’t have to face bama last year. Everything had to come together just right for uga to win in 2021 and in 2022 when osu had uga dead to rights and then they faced a powder-puff team in the natty that year.
Kudos to uga for the back to back, but it’s a leap to no where to claim that uga is now the standard. Great team, but not the standard. Bama is and has been the standard for sixteen years and will continue to be so. If they win the natty this year, that’s 7 nattys over 16 seasons. That shows longevity. You really can’t claim anything after two years. Same with Clemson. Folks tried to put them ahead of Bama but they flamed out after a few years. Win nattys in three separate decades and then you can start saying that uga is the standard.

I am not an FSU fan. 1) There has never been an undefeated power 5 team left out of the playoffs. 2) there WAS a 1 LOSS team with a 3rd String QB that DID make the playoffs and...they WON IT ALL. 3) the 1 LOSS team that took FSU's spot only 1 week ago needed a 4th and 31 Hail Mary with 32 seconds left, to beat a 6 and 6 record Auburn team that the week before LOST to New Mexico STATE by 3 TOUCHDOWNS. FSU wasn't the only loser today. REAL Football fans lost today. Try to spit shine the pile of sh!t all you want, but this injustice was about money. Mostly ESPN ad revenue. Lock.
