You comment at 4:00 is interesting, my Maserati Merak is also surprising quiet at speed and you can run 75 mph+ with the windows down and still have the cabin be comfortable and not loud. Giorgetto Giugiaro designed both the M1 and the Merak and I think get was doing more with the aerodynamics and wind management of those design than people realize. You guys make fantastic videos. You really did the M1 justice. A fantastic car that has been my dream car since I was a little boy in 1979 or so. M88 engine is just mechanical art and Giugiaro styling from the master himself. I do differ from you about the Warhol art car. I think Warhol did a terrible job, that is just rubbish art. If I ever (dream) of getting my hands on that car, I'd sand it down and paint it Alpine white immediately.
There were no RHD M1s, including “our car”. It’s wiper is contra as it had to park in a corresponding location to the steering wheel, so it’s an LHD wiper upside down!!
Superb film. Somehow quintessential BMW, in a recipe they've dared not repeat. An M1 would sit proudly in my perfect five car garage.

Great film, how many M1's were RHD? don't think I've seen one in RHD even in the UK.
