Being born in Switzerland is like winning the lottery of life.

Why?
Few places on Earth compare to Switzerland. Just a few of the benefits off the top of my head -
Switzerland has actual democracy, i.e. not a federated republic. People vote on issues. Gov't officials are executors of the people's will. By bashing officials, MSM is really bashing the Swiss people, so they tend to be more constructive with their criticism. There is some sense of partisanship, but it isn't anything like the hamstringing partisanship of America.
Each person's vote is counted physically. You can't rig an election when people are assembled to vote in their local district and have to physically raise their hands to vote.
Switzerland is beautiful and very, very clean. I've actually drank water unfiltered directly from the Rhine river in Switzerland. If you did that in Germany, you'd die. The laws limit the production of needless garbage, and garbage doesn't even get kept in Switzerland. They pay other countries to remove it.
The Swiss have four national languages - German, French, Italian, and Romansh. Even with language barriers, the people there get along well - appreciating their differences.
People are pleasant and well mannered because parents responsibly teach their children to be pleasant and to be well mannered.
Switzerland doesn't meddle in the business of other countries.
Switzerland has the highest gun ownership in the world and one of the lowest murder rates. In 2012, there were only 64 murders. In just the city of Chicago, that's any given weekend.
Engineering is sublime. Riding on most trains is like riding in a Lexus - quiet, smooth, air conditioned, and with panoramic windows for viewing their beautiful countryside.
Hiking is fantastic there, and if you're concerned about safety while hiking helicopter evac insurance is cheap. Rega Swiss air rescue is amazingly good at their jobs.
If you like dairy, milk products in Switzerland are much, much better. The cows grazing in mountains eating chamomile and herbs produce milk like nowhere else on earth.
Seriously, if I reincarnate anywhere else please just shoot me in the face at birth.

I went to Highschool in Zurich, Switzerland. The school's called 'Gymnasium Zürich-Enge' and they proudly told us back then, that when this school was built, no tree was allowed to be cut down during the process. The architects had to plan a school 'around' the trees and incorporate them.

I went to Highschool in Zurich, Switzerland. The school's called 'Gymnasium Zürich-Enge' and they proudly told us back then, that when this school was built, no tree was allowed to be cut down during the process. The architects had to plan a school 'around' the trees and incorporate them.

I live in Switzerland (and have almost all my life), but sadly it has been too many years since I have really lived in the countryside, and without money to spare for travelling, getting out of the city has been difficult.
